
Linux Foundation adopts AGNTCY to standardise agentic AI
AGNTCY delivers core components required for discovery, secure messaging, and cross-platform collaboration among AI agents that originate from different companies and frameworks. The project has the backing of industry players including Cisco, Dell Technologies, Google Cloud, Oracle, and Red Hat, all of whom have joined as formative members under the Linux Foundation's open governance.
Originally released as open source by Cisco in March 2025 with collaboration from LangChain and Galileo, AGNTCY now includes support from over 75 companies. Its infrastructure forms the basis for the so-called 'Internet of Agents' - an environment where AI agents from diverse origins are able to communicate, collaborate, and be discovered regardless of vendor or execution environment.
The increasing adoption of AI agents across industries has led to concerns about fragmentation and the formation of closed silos, constraining agents' ability to communicate across platforms securely and efficiently. AGNTCY's infrastructure aims to address these issues by standardising secure identity, robust messaging, and comprehensive observability. This allows organisations and developers to manage AI agents with improved transparency, performance, and trust.
Compatibility is a focus for AGNTCY, which is interoperable with the Agent2Agent (A2A) project, also part of the Linux Foundation, as well as Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP). The project supports agent discovery through AGNTCY directories, enables observable environments using AGNTCY's software development kits (SDKs), and utilises the Secure Low Latency Interactive Messaging (SLIM) protocol for secure message transport. "The AGNTCY project lays groundwork for secure, interoperable collaboration among autonomous agents," said Jim Zemlin, executive director of the Linux Foundation. "We are pleased to welcome the AGNTCY project to the Linux Foundation to ensure its infrastructure remains open, neutral, and community-driven."
The AGNTCY project's infrastructure offers several key functions for multi-agent environments. Agent discovery is facilitated using the Open Agent Schema Framework (OASF), allowing agents to identify and understand each other's capabilities. Agent identity is supported via cryptographically verifiable processes to ensure secure activity across organisational boundaries. The agent messaging component supports various communication modes, including human-in-the-loop and quantum-safe options via the SLIM protocol. Observability functionalities provide evaluation and debugging across complex, multi-vendor workflows. "Building the foundational infrastructure for the Internet of Agents requires community ownership, not vendor control," said Vijoy Pandey, general manager and senior vice president of Outshift by Cisco. "The Linux Foundation ensures this critical infrastructure remains neutral and accessible to everyone building multi-agent systems."
The project is underpinned by real-world applications, including AI-driven continuous integration and deployment pipelines, multi-agent IT operations, and the automation of telecom networks. This underlines the diversity of use cases benefitting from AGNTCY's open source approach.

CEH Hall of Fame 2025 report shows ethical hackers impact
EC-Council has released the CEH Hall of Fame 2025 Industry Report, providing analysis on the career trajectories and global impact of the top certified ethical hackers. The CEH Hall of Fame 2025 Industry Report reviews data gathered from 481 cybersecurity professionals - ranging from entry-level analysts to CISOs - who have undertaken EC-Council's Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) credential. The report focuses on how the CEH certification has contributed to career advancement, enhanced industry recognition, improved hands-on proficiency, and broadened skills for cybersecurity practitioners worldwide. To select the Hall of Fame 2025 inductees, EC-Council started with candidates scoring at least 90% on the CEH certification exam. This pool was refined to 460 finalists from 93 countries, with selection based on leadership, contributions to the cybersecurity community, innovation in threat mitigation, and visible career progression. Of these, 100 professionals have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, representing what EC-Council describes as the vanguard of ethical hacking expertise. The report draws extensively on the professional experiences of these finalists and inductees. It quantifies the impact of CEH certification, stating that 98% of all surveyed ethical hackers credited the certification for a shift in their cybersecurity careers. Other statistics include 95% of participants reporting significant salary growth following their certification and 86% seeing increased job opportunities as a direct result of pursuing this training. Furthermore, 91% of respondents consider the credential to offer a competitive edge over other cybersecurity certifications. Highlighting the workplace value of ethical hacking credentials, the report states that 100% of Hall of Fame recipients experienced increased respect and recognition at work post-certification, with an equal percentage stating they would recommend the CEH programme to their peers. In terms of skills and practical application, the report shows that 99% of the Hall of Fame group found the programme's virtual labs played a critical role in building real-world hacking competencies, and 97% cited the CEH's effectiveness in addressing emerging security threats and trends. Notably, these professionals are contributing expertise at companies including Cisco, Microsoft, and Google. The findings also reference industry challenges, such as the projected cybersecurity talent shortage, which is expected to reach 4 million by 2026. By providing in-depth training across areas like network security, web application security, and AI-driven threat detection, EC-Council positions the CEH and related programmes as part of the solution to this skills gap. This year's Hall of Fame showcases the extraordinary caliber of cybersecurity professionals shaping the future of global digital defense. These inductees have elevated ethical hacking to a strategic discipline, where their expertise not only protects critical systems but actively drives organizational growth, resilience, and trust. Their leadership exemplifies how technical excellence, and forward-thinking are now essential to navigating the digital world with confidence. Speaking to the report's broader implications, Jay Bavisi, Group President of EC-Council, added, "The CEH Hall of Fame 2025 Industry Report not only reflects the incredible achievements of these professionals but also signals the growing influence of ethical hackers in shaping the future of cybersecurity. The company has outlined its intention to maintain the pace of change in the sector by launching the Certified Ethical Hacker Powered with AI Capabilities programme. Built on the "Learn, Certify, Engage, and Compete" framework, the programme incorporates immersive labs, practical simulations, and professional pathways to more than 45 recognised cybersecurity job roles, with a focus on equipping participants to combat sophisticated contemporary threats. The CEH Hall of Fame 2025 Industry Report concludes that certified ethical hackers are playing a vital role in shaping organisational preparedness, with nearly all respondents noting increased career mobility and professional recognition post-certification. The certification's global reach and the experiences of those recognised in the report underline its role as a formalised route to advancement and impact within the cybersecurity profession.

Lenovo expands Hybrid AI Advantage for enterprise adoption
Lenovo has announced the expansion of Hybrid AI Advantage, introducing new services, industry-specific solutions and collaborative platforms to support enterprise adoption and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies. The initiative offers a combination of advisory, implementation, and change management services as well as hybrid AI infrastructure backed by partnerships with Cisco, IBM and NVIDIA. Lenovo aims to provide enterprises with the resources needed to build and operate AI capabilities across a variety of environments, including cloud, edge, and on-premise. Lenovo's Global CIO Playbook highlights ongoing challenges among businesses investing in AI, with two-thirds not yet seeing a return on investment, struggling particularly with scaling, training, and modernising their infrastructure. As AI spending is projected to reach almost 20% of IT budgets in 2025, Lenovo has positioned its expanded Hybrid AI Advantage to address these gaps. Ashley Gorakhpurwalla, President, Infrastructure Solutions Group, Lenovo, said: "Lenovo is leading hybrid AI with groundbreaking advancements in integrated solutions that are driving industry-wide innovation and making enterprise-level AI attainable for every business. AI-enabling services AI Adoption and Change Management Services form a core part of the expansion, with features such as AI People Readiness Assessment, persona-based training, Copilot integration, and governance support. Lenovo claims these services are designed to ready organisations for AI transformation by focusing on workforce upskilling, engagement, and onboarding of generative AI tools. Industry use cases The Hybrid AI Advantage portfolio includes solutions targeted at manufacturing, hospitality, retail, and smart spaces. Examples include collaboration with Centific and NVIDIA for hospitality platforms focused on guest loyalty and operational efficiency, Avathon Visual AI for real-time workplace safety monitoring, and partnerships with WaitTime and Intel for crowd analytics in retail spaces. Additionally, the partnership with Trifork and NVIDIA brings automated quality inspection solutions for the manufacturing sector, using AI-powered insights for defect detection and model retraining on the factory floor. Hybrid platforms and infrastructure The expansion includes new high-performance systems such as the ThinkSystem SR680a V4, equipped with Intel Xeon 6 CPUs and eight NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs interconnected with NVIDIA NVLink technology. The platform is designed to offer up to eleven times faster AI inferencing capabilities on large language models and up to seven times computational capacity compared to previous versions. Other components include the hybrid AI platform with IBM watsonx, which integrates with Lenovo ThinkSystem SR675 servers, and a collaborative platform with Cisco, supported by NVIDIA Spectrum-X technology. The IBM watsonx platform provides validated, ready-to-deploy generative AI infrastructure, while the Cisco collaboration is aimed at boosting network performance for enterprise AI deployments. The Hybrid AI platform with Cisco is built on the ThinkSystem SR675 V3, supporting up to eight NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, and is intended as a universal data centre system that shifts workloads from CPU-based to GPU-accelerated environments. Lenovo states that regardless of an organisation's stage in its AI journey, these offerings are designed to deliver measurable business outcomes using established infrastructure and frameworks, aiming to support enterprises from initial adoption through to scaling and optimisation.
