Fox Corp will enter the crowded streaming marketplace with its own direct-to-consumer platform that puts all of the media giant's brands under one app.
FOX One, which targets cord-cutters or those who never subscribed to cable in the first place, will be available to consumers beginning Aug. 21.
The service will cost $19.99 per month — or a discounted annual rate of $199.99, according to Fox Corp — the sister company of The Post's owner News Corp.

It will serve as a one-stop shop for subscribers to view over-the-air programs that air on the Fox Network — including 'The Simpsons' and 'Family Guy' — Fox News Channel's top-rated cable news shows and Fox Sports as the National Football League season kicks off.
FOX Corp. Executive Chair and CEO Lachlan Murdoch touted the new streaming service's 'cutting edge' technology.
'The FOX One user interface is incredibly innovative,' he said in announcing the launch during earnings call Tuesday.

'It can be very highly personalized and relies on some very clever technology to offer something that's truly unique in the marketplace.'
It debuts the same day that ESPN launches its new streaming service, which will cost $10 more a month than FOX One will charge.
Pete Distad, who once headed operations for Apple TV+ as well as the now-defunct Venu Sports joint venture, will spearhead FOX One's new platform's development and launch.

'We're eager to launch FOX One in just a few weeks and super serve our viewers with the best in live news, sports and entertainment content all in one place,' Distad said in a statement.
'In bringing together the full power of the FOX content portfolio in one service, we have created a great value proposition and user experience that will appeal to the cord-cutter and cord-never fans currently not served by conventional pay TV packages.'
Aside from access to national primetime shows and local Fox stations, subscribers will have access to Fox Business Network, Fox Weather and Fox Deportes and on-demand content from FOX Entertainment.

Sports enthusiasts will find plenty to watch. Fox Sports has the rights for NFC games, featuring the New York Giants and defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles; Major League Baseball, including the playoffs and the World Series; college football broadcasts like Big Noon Saturday, as well Big Ten games; NCAA basketball games; the Belmont Stakes triple crown horse race; IndyCar racing, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The sports lineup extends to Fox Sports networks FS1 and FS2, plus the Big Ten Network.
All shows and events available on FOX One will continue to air on traditional cable and satellite television systems as well.

Existing cable and satellite customers who pay for Fox channels through their current providers will be able to access FOX One at no additional charge.

Russell Wilson Explains Decision to Make Giants Debut vs. Bills

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Week one of the NFL Preseason typically offers young players and roster hopefuls an opportunity to play over the seasoned veterans on the roster. For the New York Giants, there was an expectation that Russell Wilson would sit out of Saturday's game against the Buffalo Bills. On the morning of the matchup, it was revealed that it wouldn't be the case. The veteran quarterback was slated to start for the Giants, making his official Big Blue debut. The move came as a bit of a shock. "I definitely wanted to play," Wilson told reporters after the game with a smile on his face. "Anytime you get to be in the white lines, it's a good thing. It's a blessing." Russell Wilson #3 of the New York Giants looks to throw a pass during the first quarter of an NFL Preseason 2025 game between New York Giants and Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium on August 09, 2025 in Orchard Park, New York. More Bryan M. Bennett/Getty Images The veteran quarterback didn't have to beg his head coach, Brian Daboll, to suit up. And the Giants certainly didn't frustrate Wilson by suggesting he would get the nod to start in a meaningless week one matchup. "Dabs and I were both on the same page," Wilson revealed. "He knew I wanted to play and vice versa. He wanted me to play, and I was ready to go. I love playing." As expected, Wilson didn't see the field for a ton of action. He had an opportunity to go out and throw seven passes. Averaging four yards per completion, Wilson connected with his wideouts on all but one of his attempts, totaling 28 yards. There weren't any touchdowns, but Wilson's drive helped the Giants score their first three points of the game with a field goal. Overall, it was a successful day. Wilson debuted, got his feet wet to begin the year, and made it out of the game turnover and injury-free. "We've worked hard in practice. You never know how it's going to go; it's one preseason game," Daboll said after the matchup. "Russ has done this for a long time. It's not his first rodeo. Gave him some plays to get into a rhythm. All quarterbacks led the offense down to scoring points." Being in the NFL since 2012, Wilson has started all 199 games he played during the regular season. He also has 17 playoff games under his belt, including a Super Bowl victory. Saturday's action wasn't necessarily needed for Wilson, but the veteran quarterback felt it was right after a long offseason. Last year, Wilson spent the season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He started in 11 games and passed for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. In the playoffs, Wilson completed nearly 70 percent of his passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns. After his one-year stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Wilson is looking to offer the Giants a major boost after signing a one-year deal with the team. College football expert Joel Klatt releases his preseason top 25 rankings

Fox Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt released his preseason top 25 rankings, this time around four weeks before the 2025 season starts. He had a few different opinions from his spring rankings in May, but once again, he left the Georgia Bulldogs outside of his top five, ranking them No. 7. "This is an interesting team that's tough to project, but I'm giving coach Kirby Smart the benefit of the doubt," Klatt said on the Bulldogs. Kirby Smart could be considered the best returning coach in the league, but Smart's going to lead a team with a ton of turnover this year. There are four new starters on the offensive line and at least two new starting receivers. On the defense, Georgia lost over 75% of its sack production from last year. "Gunner Stockton is a question mark at quarterback," Klatt continued. "But Smart's teams have proven that they don't need an elite signal-caller to succeed. His teams just win, and there's never a shortage of talent there. The Bulldogs also got better at wide receiver, addressing that issue by adding Zachariah Branch and Noah Thomas after leading the country in drops last year." Georgia was in a similar situation in 2017. Jacob Eason, who was 2016's starting quarterback, suffered a knee injury against Appalachian State. He was replaced by true freshman starter Jake Fromm for the rest of the year, and Georgia made it to the national championship in 2017. As for their receiving room, Kirby Smart will look to fix the drop issues from last year. He believed it was just a matter of confidence and preparation that led to Georgia leading the nation in drops in 2024. "Georgia also gets most of its big games at home — where it never loses, as it hasn't fallen at home since 2019. Georgia is a team that I think should play for an SEC championship." Georgia's daunting schedule from 2024 flips in 2025. They play Ole Miss, Texas, and Alabama at home, and Sanford Stadium is one of the most raucous college football environments in the nation. From a broader prospective, Klatt put one SEC team (Texas), three Big Ten teams (Oregon, Penn State, Ohio State), one ACC team (Clemson) and Notre Dame above Georgia. He believes that Notre Dame, along with the rest of the schools, are at least a tier above Georgia football coming into this year. Here is Joel Klatt's preseason top 25 25. Utah 24. Oklahoma 23.
