SHOE FITS Charlie Fellowes gives Kieran Shoemark chance to take on John Gosden runners in pair of Group 1s in France
KIERAN SHOEMARK will get the chance to prove the ultimate point to John Gosden in Paris on Sunday.
He has been snapped up by Charlie Fellowes for the French 2000 and 1000 Guineas - where he will take on two big Gosden runners having been dumped as the stable's No1 jockey.

Shoemark, 29, was expected to ride Gosden's Detain and Zanzoun in the colts' and fillies' Classics respectively, but now he'll be riding against them at Longchamp aboard Luther and Shes Perfect.
Gosden gave Shoemark the elbow just a few days after his defeat on Field Of Gold in the Guineas last Saturday, after which he apologised for riding with 'too much confidence' in the wake of criticism from his boss.
He has faced plenty of scrutiny since replacing Frankie Dettori at Clarehaven, and his fast-finishing second in the big one at Newmarket was clearly the final straw for Gosden.
Newmarket-based Fellowes has been a long-time ally of Shoemark and he has given the jockey his firm backing.
Fellowes said: "The Gosden gig is a tough gig, there is a lot of pressure and I've no doubt he is up to a job like that.
"For whatever reason it's not worked out, but one man's loss is another man's gain.
"I'm gutted for him but from a selfish point of view it's great for me because I want him on as many of my horses as possible.
'Jim Crowley and Rossa Ryan had been riding work for me and they were in line to ride on Sunday because I thought Kieran wouldn't be available. Now he is, it was a no-brainer.
"I'm really appreciative of Jim and Rossa, they were very understanding when I spoke to them. I had discussions with my owners when we heard the news and they were keen to get Kieran.
'He is a brilliant jockey and we've got two good chances in Group 1s at Longchamp, so he doesn't need any extra motivation. It would be incredible to win a big one together.
'Both Luther and Shes Perfect are in brilliant form and I will come home very disappointed if they don't run massive races.'
Shoemark still rode for Gosden yesterday, finishing last of seven in the Cheshire Oaks on Queen Of Thieves, and he will continue to pick up rides for the yard.
But Clarehaven runners will now be ridden by 'the best jockey available' in big races and Shoemark's opportunities will be greatly reduced.
Gosden said: 'We are looking to use the best available from now on. We have eight jockeys that are retained to ride for owners connected with the yard and I haven't had a retained jockey since William Buick.
"There is no fallout but it is the ramifications of what happened over the weekend at Newmarket. We'll now use the best available rider.'
Luther, who is a top-priced 20-1 for the Poule d'Essai des Poulains on Sunday, was second to Detain on his reappearance at Chelmsford and Fellowes reckons he is capable of improving past him.
Likewise Shes Perfect, who is 14-1 for the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches having finished second in a Group 3 in France on her return. She is expected to take a big step forward now.
Fellowes said: "I still am adamant Luther is one of the best horses we've ever had. We probably would have gone close to to beating Detain last time and I think we can improve more than Detain.
"He has a wicked turn of foot, he's well balanced, he'll go round the track beautifully, we just need a good draw.
"Shes Perfect is a big girl and she will improve no end for her run. I honestly couldn't be happier with either of them."

Former West Ham star Dimitri Payet has contract ripped up leaving him unemployed after shocking abuse claims
DIMITRI PAYET had his contract ripped up to leave him unemployed. It comes just weeks after shocking abuse claims against the ex-West Ham man. 4 Ex-West Ham man Dimitri Payet had his contract in Brazil terminated Credit: Getty 4 Ex-lover Larissa Ferrari made shocking abuse claims against the married footballer during their alleged affair Credit: Payet, 38, joined Brazilian side Vasco da Gama on a two-year contract in August 2023. However, the club announced the decision to cut the deal short. They wrote on social media: "Vasco da Gama announces that, in a friendly manner, it has reached an agreement to terminate the contract with midfielder Dimitri Payet early. "The club thanks the athlete for the professionalism, dedication and respect demonstrated throughout his time at Sao Januario, and wishes him success in his next challenges. "For Vasco, Payet played 77 matches, scored eight goals and contributed 16 assists. "Thank you, Payet. This is Vasco." Payet hit headlines in April when his ex-lover alleged he subjected her to "physical, moral, psychological and sexual violence" during a seven-month affair. The "lonely" married footballer was accused of forcing Larissa Ferrari to film degrading videos, SunSport revealed. Brazilian lawyer Ferrari, 28, also said the former French international Payet made her partake in a fake wedding and wear a ring to 'prove her love'. She claimed he made her drink her own urine and water from the toilet, and lick the floor - plus showed SunSport photos of her bruises. Premier League cult hero Dimitri Payet rolls back the years as he humiliates opponent with unique 360-nutmeg The mum-of-two said: 'He's a sick monster. I was scared for my life, and I'm still scared." Payet denied "physical and psychological violence" in a statement to the police in Brazil, adding that everything was consensual and proposed by his accuser. The playmaker has four children with his wife of nearly 20 years, Ludivine, who remained in France after he joined Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro in 2023. Before that, he had six-and-a-half years with Marseille, joining the French side for £25million following an impressive 18 months with West Ham. 4 Payet spent two years with Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro Credit: Getty

Emma Raducanu ‘really feeling it' at Queen's as she eases into second round
And though she insisted her hopes were 'staying low', Raducanu was in fine form on centre court – on Monday inaugurated as the Andy Murray Arena – where she dispatched Bucsa in just one hour and four minutes. 'I must say I was quite locked in today,' Raducanu said on court, later telling a press conference: 'I think the biggest thing I'm proud of is just the way I handled the situation. 'But, I mean, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous before the match. The way I overcame that I think is really, for me, a great achievement. 'I think I built my way into the match. I didn't necessarily feel (locked in) from the get-go, but I think as the match went on, I definitely got that. I was really feeling it.' Those back niggles have not entirely disappeared, but Raducanu was clearly enjoying herself. She added: 'I play my best when my personality is put on the court and I can express myself, and I feel like sometimes when I've been constrained to play a certain way, it hasn't necessarily worked, and I just need to be free and expressive and then certain moments of creativity can come up. 'I mean, it's easier said than done to be yourself, especially when you're on such a big stage, but for sure when I'm playing freely, when I'm swinging and taking on chances, that is when I'm at my best. Yeah, then I think as that happened today, I could kind of relax into it and more and more could come up.' Raducanu impressed in her opening match (John Walton/PA) Raducanu faces Slovakian Rebecca Sramkova in the round of 16 on Thursday, but next up is round two of the doubles at midday on Wednesday, where she and British number one Boulter will take on Lyudmyla Kichenok and Erin Routliffe, who knocked out the other all-British duo, Sonay Kartal and Jodie Burrage, earlier in the afternoon. British number one Boulter also punched her ticket to the second round but in much grittier fashion, battling to a 7-6 (4) 1-6 6-4 victory over Australian qualifier Ajla Tomljanovic. 'When I walked out it actually surpassed what I thought it would feel like when I kind of imagined it,' said Boulter, adding: 'I think it's very easy to get caught up in just trying to get your first grass court match, also coming to such an historic venue as well, which holds a lot of purpose and a lot of familiar feelings when I've come here before.' Earlier, Heather Watson set up a second-round meeting with fourth seed and former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina after upsetting world number 27 Yulia Putintseva 6-4 6-3. It was not to be for British wildcard Fran Jones, however, who was defeated in straight sets 6-2 6-4 by American McCartney Kessler.
