If You Buy One Dress This Summer, Make It This Dissh Midi

As a summer person, my wardrobe goes hand-in-hand with Australian fashion brands. Being blessed with year-round sunshine, of course we can count on the Aussies to know how to create the best summer pieces. The thing is, though, sometimes my favourite labels come with a heavy shipping fee, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out one of my forever favourites, Dissh, was going to be stocked in the UK for the first time at Selfridges. Since spring, I've made the monthly pilgrimage to Bond Street (anyone who's travelled on the Central Line during a heatwave will know why this is an achievement) to see what the celebrity-loved brand has in the 'new in' section, and I can safely say I've never been disappointed. And it seems I'm not the only one, as there's one summer dress I can't stop seeing every time I go to a coffee shop, for a mooch in town or on my morning social scroll. Let me introduce you – or most likely, reintroduce you – to the 'Gabby' dress. So popular, the brown style sold out within days on both the Australian Diish site and at Selfridges, but I'm here to share the news that it's back – in all sizes. So, what's so great about it?

The 100% cotton midi dress has an A-line shape, perfect for hot weather days when you want to avoid clothing sticking to your skin. The V-neck design with gathered detail is flattering on all chest sizes, the thicker straps mean you can wear your usual bra with it and it has pockets! No wonder it's selling out each and every time it gets restocked. According to the fashion insiders I keep seeing, chocolate brown is the most popular colour in the Gabby dress. Luckily, though, Dissh has recognised the demand and has already created it in soft sky blue (the new colour du jour) along with classic white. And if you want even more good news, you better keep reading.

The viral Gabby Dissh dress has not only been restocked in all colours, there's also a brand new shade to add to the collection this month: butter yellow. Yes, everyone is still very much on the soft shade hype, so I can imagine this is going to have the same sell-out power as the brown iteration. And for another sprinkling of good news from me, there's a mini version of this dream summer dress, and it comes in all four colours – brown, white, blue and yellow – yes, really!

So chic –I would style this yellow version with jelly sandals and a straw bag for daytime and switch to red shoes and a snake print bag for after-dark.

Shop the mini Gabby dress below, along with some of my other favourite Dissh summer dresses, and they're all available at Selfridges, so you can also go in and try them IRL. P.S., I've tried on everything from jeans and linen shorts to dresses, and it's refreshing to find a brand that's actually true to size. P.p.s, luckily, Australian sizing is the same as UK (so a 10 is a 10), which makes it even easier to shop.

If a midi dress isn't your thing (personally, I'm partial to dresses in all lengths) then you'll be pleased to know the Gabby dress everyone either owns, or wants, comes in a mini version too. Also in the four colours (brown, blue, yellow and white) I tried on the sky blue style and I love how it looks with a tan.

So, I originally saw this knit mini dress on one of my favourite fashion insiders on Insta (@nlmarilyn) and I was sold by the black version. That was until I saw the white style, that it, and now I'm left with the hardest decision – either way, though, I'll be styling it with a low waist belt just like Marilyn.

Got an al fresco lunch on the cards? Wear a black dress. Plan to have after-work drinks? Opt for a black dress. It never fails, which is why everyone can wax lyrical about the LBD. But, if you want a style that's ever versatile then it's midi dress. I love the textured racer top detail on this Dissh version.

Another one I've been saving on my Insta is this Melrose pretty polka dot maxi dress. I love how the sheer dress has a removable slip – I would keep it on for dinner and also style the dress without the underneath layer to add over swimwear for a holiday look that feels different to the usual crochet beach dress vibe.

In the same shade of blue that the viral Gabby Dissh dress comes in, I also enjoy this strappy style with its pleated top detail giving that 2025 dropped-hem dress vibe we've been seeing a lot of. I'm only 5'4' so I know this would be a maxi for me, but this makes me like it even more.

The neckline on this black dress is basically a work of art, isn't it? Like I've said earlier, a black dress is one of the most timeless and versatile colours to go for so you'll wear this one on heavy rotation from here on out.

Chloe Kelly's proud husband joins sweet tributes after Women's Euros win

The Lionesses have been met with an outpouring of love and appreciation from their nearest and dearest following England's victory at the Women's Euros 2025 Final. After remaining at loggerheads with old rivals Spain for much of the match, the squad finally brought football home with a 3-1 win during penalty shootouts. This was second time lucky for the Lionesses, who were previously beaten by Spain during the 2023 World Cup. Things got off to a shaky start with a missed kick from Beth Mead, but England managed to forge ahead thanks to some sterling work from goalkeeper Hannah Hampton. This gave woman of the match Chloe Kelly the chance to catch up, scoring the winning spot-kick. As the country celebrates, the Lionesses' partners have joined the nation in sharing their pride. Woman of the hour Chloe is married to groundsman and greenkeeper Scott Moore, having reportedly met while she was playing for Everton and married in 2024 after five years of dating. Scott's Instagram account is private, but Chloe reposted his pride-filled Instagram tribute to her own Story after the match ended. 'Speechless once again,' he wrote in the accompanying text, along with two silver heart emojis. 'I'm so grateful to have you by my side,' Chloe added below Scott's picture and words. Women's England Captain Leah Williamson's biggest cheerleader was partner Elle Smith. The former Miss USA winner showed her support in a t-shirt emblazoned with the slogan 'Live, Laugh, Leah.' Although the pair have never confirmed that they are dating, they appeared to 'soft launch' their relationship this year in a series of loved-up social media posts. Leah's supportive partner previously showcased her pride after a match back in May, sharing a black-and-white selfie in which Elle wrapped her arms around Leah from behind. Ashley Hodson, partner of Lauren Hemp, celebrated the team's win by sharing an Instagram Story and a series of pictures to her account. 'Champions babyyy! So proud 🫶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏆', she wrote in the caption to her post. In these pictures, she and Lauren could be seen standing side by side, with a grinning Ashley holding up the freshly won medal. Meanwhile, in her Instagram Stories, Ashley described Lauren as her 'inspo,' sharing a picture of Lauren holding the trophy aloft. Another image also depicted Lauren mid-celebration, roaring in victory in the wake of the team's win. Lauren has been dating Sheffield United midfielder Hodson since 2023. At the end of a Heineken-filled day, Joe Bunney, boyfriend of Ella Toone (and footballer for Stalybridge Celtic), shared footage from her joyous victory celebration. 'Words don't describe how proud I am of you,' he wrote in one Instagram Story. In the next, he shared a selfie with Ella, writing 'BACK 2 BACK' in the caption, along with two trophy emojis and two red hearts. Vivianne Miedema, the girlfriend of Beth Mead, shared a selfie with partner Beth and Australian footballer Steph Catley. 'Proud proud' the Dutch footballer wrote in the accompanying caption to her Instagram Stories post. She then echoed the sentiment in a post to her main Instagram feed, sharing a snap of Beth sitting on her lap in the wake of the match. More Trending '🥹 proud of you,' she wrote in the accompanying caption. In the comments below, Beth responded: 'Love you ❤️' The football power couple first met while playing for Arsenal and have been together ever since. Got a story? Gabby Logan recalls crushing low point after brutal Strictly Come Dancing exit

Gabby Logan has cast her mind back to her experiences on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing - and admits she was left fearing the nation hated her as she failed to secure votes Gabby Logan has candidly reflected on a time she felt she was deeply unpopular. The 52-year-old radio and television presenter is best known for hosting sports programs for the BBC, ITV and Channel 5. ‌ In August this year, she will land arguably her biggest job to date - as a new host of Match of the Day following the exit of controversial footballer Gary Lineker. But it is not just giving her two pence about on-pitch action that has drawn attention to Gabs. ‌ She has also enjoyed a foray into the world of competitive reality shows - popping up to present shows like the diving competition Splash! and celebrity sheep herding show Flockstars. Back in 2007, however, Gabby stepped out from behind her presenting lectern to be a contestants on hit show Strictly Come Dancing. ‌ The star was partnered with professional dancer James Jordan and, being season five of the long-running show, this was the time when Tess Daly and the late Sir Bruce Forsyth were hosts of the show. The judging panel consisted of Arlene Phillips, Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and the late Len Goodman. While Gabby made it through three rounds of the show before she was voted off, she is convinced that she became a hate figure during her time on the ballroom floor. She featured on the series at the same time as her husband, Kenny Logan - was also competing with Gabby's dance partner James' wife Ola Jordan. ‌ Wales Online quotes Gabby saying: "I had an amazing experience on Strictly, I was only on it for a few weeks, but I had an amazing experience — but also, a kind of life-changing experience in many ways." She elaborated: "[It] sounds a bit dramatic, and you hear people going 'Strictly changed my life', but this wasn't in a good way." Giving more clarity, she went on: "When you get voted out of Strictly, it's so shocking, because you go in every week starting to work on your following week's dance, and you don't expect to go home." ‌ And she revealed she was left being "very much aware that people didn't like" her during her time on the show. She also told Jessica Ennis on the Gold Minds podcast: "It was the fact that obviously people didn't vote for me — and it sounds a bit pathetic — but you realise when it's a reality show that it's about whether people like you. And I was very much aware that people didn't like me. ‌ "I was kind of like, they didn't like me enough to vote for me... It was a very sobering kind of experience because in the days afterwards, not only was I dreadfully missing the dancing, but also realising I kind of felt like, 'Oh, what was it about me that people didn't relate to?'" While Gabby and James crashed out in week four, her rugby star husband managed to make it through five more weeks before he too was voted off. Their season was awash with big name star - with Sir Rod Stewart's wife, Penny Lancaster, acting legend Stephanie Beacham, and model bombshell Kelly Brook were among those taking to the dance floor. The finalists that season included EastEnders star Matt Di Angelo and TV presenter Gethin Jones. While Mis-Teeq singer Alesha Dixon proved to be the victor of the show - and later became a judge on the series before being poached to judge on Britain's Got Talent.

Two ‘incredible' new professional dancers join Strictly Come Dancing cast

American-born Alexis Warr and Australian-born Julian Caillon will join the hit dance competition series as it returns to BBC One and iPlayer this autumn. Warr, who is best known for winning the US dance series So You Think You Can Dance in 2022 and was crowned America's favourite dancer, became the first female ballroom and Latin dancer to claim the title. On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Warr said: 'I've admired Strictly for years, so joining this incredible family is such an honour. 'I can't wait to step into the ballroom, pour my heart into every moment, and share my love of dance with the UK.' Caillon, who specialises in ballroom and Latin American, has appeared as a professional dancer for three seasons of Australia's version of Strictly Come Dancing, titled Australia's Dancing With The Stars. He said: 'Joining the cast of Strictly really is a dream come true. 'I've watched it for years, especially cheering on all the amazing dancers I know and work with who've been part of it. 'I can't wait to get stuck in, have some fun, and be part of something special!' The newcomers will join the current cast of professional dancers, which includes Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer and Katya Jones. Neil Jones will also return in the autumn along with Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Jowita Przystal. The new series, hosted by recent MBE recipients, Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, will also welcome back Johannes Radebe, Aljaz Skorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola. Warr and Caillon will join the professionals each week for group routines, music acts, theme weeks and Strictly's annual trip to Blackpool. Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas will also return to the judging panel. Sarah James, executive producer at BBC Studios, said: 'We've been big fans of Alexis and Julian for some time, so it's with great excitement that we now welcome them both to the Strictly family. 'They're two incredible dancers with bright futures ahead of them, and we know viewers are going to love getting to know them both.' Kalpna Patel-Knight, head of entertainment at the BBC, added: 'Alexis and Julian are the perfect additions to Strictly, and we can't wait for you to see them light up the ballroom this autumn. 'With our fantastic professional dancers, plus everything else we love about Strictly, the new series promises to be bigger, better and even more glitter-packed than ever before.' The news comes after the series faced a string of incidents this year, including Welsh tenor and former BBC Radio Wales presenter, Wynne Evans, being dropped by the broadcaster after he made an apology saying that he used 'inappropriate language' during the launch of the Strictly Come Dancing tour. Months later, EastEnders star James Borthwick was also suspended from the BBC after a video emerged of the actor using a disabled slur on the set of the dance programme. Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One and iPlayer this autumn.
