Keanu Reeves' latest red carpet appearance sparks speculation

Actor Keanu Reeves and his longtime girlfriend Alexandra Grant made a red carpet appearance together in Los Angeles this week – and one small detail sparked speculation the pair may have secretly marked a big milestone. Eagle-eyed celeb watchers noted that Grant was wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger. It's not the first time fans have noticed the eye-catching detail – she was first spotted wearing the ring several months ago. Reeves, 60, and his 52-year-old visual artist girlfriend have been quietly dating since at least 2019, when they made their first red carpet appearance together as a couple. Before that, they'd been friends since at least 2011. Grant gave some rare comments about her relationship with Reeves when she appeared at the Los Angeles Beverly Arts Icon Awards in 2023. 'The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun,' she told People on the red carpet, which she walked solo. 'I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone. 'It's interdependent and independent in the best ways.' She also opened up about what she loves most about Reeves, speaking to how they inspire one another in their careers. 'In a moment of frustration in my life, I once said, 'Sometimes I feel like a Maserati stuck in traffic,' that I have this big engine, but, for a variety of reasons, that I couldn't ever go,' she began. 'What I love about Keanu and our exchange is that we're pushing each other to build new roads. 'Seeing the other person's problem-solving is inspiring, like, 'Oh, well, okay, this one, that's a cul-de-sac. How do I try this other thing?' 'He's such an inspiration to me. He's so creative, he's so kind. He works so hard.' Likewise, Reeves has been effusive in his praise in the rare times when he's publicly discussed his relationship with Grant. He gave a surprisingly candid answer in a 2023 interview with People when the outlet asked him to name the last time he'd felt 'bliss.' 'A couple of days ago with my honey,' Reeves revealed. 'We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together.'

Christian Bale unrecognisable on the set of his upcoming sports movie Madden

Christian Bale is known for his extreme physical transformations for movie roles – and he's done it again for his upcoming film, Madden. The Oscar winner shaved his head, bleached his eyebrows and put on 9kgs to play former US Vice President Dick Cheney in the 2018 biopic Vice; he dropped a staggering 28kgs to play an emaciated, sleep-deprived operator in 2004 psychological thriller The Machinist; and that same year, he gained about 45kgs to play Batman in the rebooted Batman Begins. Now, the 51-year-old has once again undergone a remarkable transformation on the set of his new sports biopic, Madden, to portray late Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis. Bale was spotted in character on set in Atlanta, Georgia, looking slick in a black leather get-up accessorised with three flashy Super Bowl rings. And gone was the actor's usually scruffy hair and beard. Instead he rocked a balding hairline, with the rest of his thin hair brushed back. Bale's skin also looked red and splotchy while in character. It wasn't just Bale who has transformed for his role. Co-star Nicolas Cage is also unrecognisable as titular character John Madden – the Raiders coach and legendary NFL broadcaster who is also the inspiration behind the popular video game Madden NFL. 'The film follows Madden's remarkable journey – from his Super Bowl-winning partnership with Al Davis and the Raiders, to creating Madden NFL, and becoming one of the most iconic voices in football history,' reads a synopsis from Amazon MGM Studios. Earlier this week, 61-year-old Cage was spotted wearing a vintage blue tracksuit and white button-up shirt over a fat suit on the Atlanta set. Like Bale, Cage was also wearing a light brown wig to complete his look. Last month, Amazon MGM Studios also shared a first look at Cage and Bale dressed in '70s gear, with their characters showing off the Super Bowl rings they won in 1977 after leading the Raiders to victory. The biopic also stars John Mulaney as EA founder Trip Hawkins, Kathryn Hahn as Madden's wife Virginia, and Sienna Miller as Al's wife Carol. 'The film follows Madden's remarkable journey — from his Super Bowl-winning partnership with Al Davis and the Raiders, to creating 'Madden NFL,' and becoming one of the most iconic voices in football history,' reads the synopsis from Amazon MGM Studios.
