It followed a small memorial service at a church near the couple's home in Brighton.
Minna told The Sun: 'It was a beautiful day and the sea was calm.
'We've been together since I was 18, so it was very emotional.

'A burial at sea is pretty unusual, but it was in his will so we had to do it.'
A local funeral firm had to apply for a certificate from the Marine Management Organisation.
The musician died at the age of 74 on March 6.
A source said: ''Brian now sleeps with the fishes, which is what he wished for before he died.

"He was a true original in life and has carried that on in death.
''The spirit of punk never left him and he was adamant he wanted his final resting place to be at sea.
''A few loved ones went out on the boat for around three hours and watched as his coffin was dropped into the drink.''

Sherlock creator teases Downing Street drama as ‘Doctor Who with funnier monsters'

Sherlock creator Steven Moffat has made the leap into politics with a new drama airing soon. Sherlock creator Steven Moffat has revealed details of a fresh British drama set to broadcast on Channel 4. ‌ Number 10, as the title suggests, is poised to reveal what happens behind the famous doors of Downing Street. ‌ The series will track not only the Prime Minister of a fictional administration, but everyone from the advisers beneath him, maintenance workers, and even the individual who operates the café (who happens to be a conspiracy theorist in the show). ‌ The synopsis reveals: "There's a Prime Minister in the attic, a coffee bar in the basement, and a wallpapered labyrinth of romance, crisis and heartbreak in-between. "Set in the only terrace house in history with mice and a nuclear deterrent, it's the only knock-through in the world where a hangover can start a war," reports the Express. ‌ "The government will be fictional, but the problems will be real. We'll never know which party is in power, because once the whole world hits the fan it barely matters. "This is a show about the building and everyone inside. Not just the Prime Minister upstairs, but the conspiracy theorist who runs the cafe three floors below, the man who repairs the lift that never works, the madly ambitious 'advisors' fighting for office space in cupboards. Oh, and of course, the cat. "Number 10 is all of Britain in a house: it's British history under one roof. It's how we all got into the mess we're in. It's also our only hope of getting out of it." ‌ Doctor Who 's showrunner, Steven, teased the series on X, writing: "Number 10. It's basically Press Gang in Downing Street. Or Doctor Who with funnier monsters. Or Sherlock with a fairly similar door. But really it's Press Gang in Downing Street. Shooting fairly soon." Reacting to the news, one fan replied: "Anything by you is a winner," while another said: "Looking forward to it!!!" "Every great show needs a great sales pitch, and you just gave us three ... sounds promising to me!" a third wrote. ‌ Gwawr Lloyd, Acting Head of Drama at Channel 4, also expressed her excitement: "We're thrilled to be bringing Number 10 to Channel 4, a bold, brilliant and witty new drama from the exceptional mind of Steven Moffat and the powerhouse team at Hartswood Films. "Number 10 will offer a rare glimpse behind the doors of the world's most iconic political residences which will take viewers from the high-stakes decisions of leadership to the lives of the staff who keep the house running. An insightful and entertaining twist on a state of the nation drama." Sue Vertue, the executive producer, added: "We are excited to be working with Channel 4 on Number 10, which is a passion project for Steven. "He says there are three famous doors in the world; he's done 221B Baker Street and the TARDIS - now he's going to do the real one." Number 10 will air soon on Channel 4

BBC Celebrity Traitors release month confirmed as director admits concern

The BBC has now confirmed that Celebrity Traitors will hit television screens in October as Claudia Winkleman welcomes a group of famous faces to the Scottish castle The BBC has revealed when Celebrity Traitors is set to hit our screens. ‌ The phenomenally successful reality programme fronted by Claudia Winkleman has captivated audiences worldwide, with the British version now firmly established as a cornerstone of the BBC's yearly schedule. ‌ A celebrity variant has now been recorded featuring famous faces rather than ordinary members of the public, and viewers won't have to wait much longer to witness the backstabbing begin. ‌ During the Edinburgh TV Festival 2025, Syeda Irtizaali, Interim BBC Director of Unscripted, revealed that the series would launch in October 2025. She said, "I was worried about how they were going to play it compared to members of the public, but we have nothing to worry about. ‌ "Some of the things you'll see them doing are extraordinary.", reports the Mirror. The celebrity-packed roster for the famous faces edition was already announced, featuring actor Stephen Fry, actor Mark Bonnar, comedian Lucy Beaumont, content creator Niko Omilana, comedian Nick Mohammed, EastEnders star Tameka Empson, singer Paloma Faith, Olympian Tom Daley, and actor Ruth Codd. Additionally, singer Cat Burns, comedian Alan Carr, singer Charlotte Church, actor Celia Imrie, broadcaster Clare Balding, historian David Olusoga, former England rugby player Joe Marler, comedian Joe Wilkinson, broadcaster Kate Garraway, and TV presenter Jonathan Ross. ‌ The BBC has also previously announced that the main Traitors series will return for its fourth series in early 2026, probably maintaining its traditional winter broadcasting slot. Speaking about what fans can anticipate from Celebrity Traitors, host Claudia revealed: "We're incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. "I'd love to say we'll take it easy on them and they'll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie." We're accustomed to seeing Faithfuls and Traitors battling it out for themselves or their loved ones, but in this series, the celebrities will engage in the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, all with the aim of securing a cash prize up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

But how did the show end - and will it have a second season? Spoilers for Hostage on Netflix up-to-and-including episode five. A thrilling new British drama has debuted on Netflix this week and it includes TV royalty Suranne Jones. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Hostage, which feels a bit like a spiritual successor to BBC's Bodyguard, premiered on the streaming service today (August 21). It follows a British Prime Minister who faces a moment of peril after her husband is taken hostage. All five episodes are available to watch now, just in time for the bank holiday weekend. It is a very easy watch and runs for less than five hours combined. But will the show return for more episodes in the future? Here's all you need to know: Will there be a second series of Hostage? Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Suranne Jones in Netflix's Hostage | Netflix Netflix is billing the show as a limited series, which does seem to suggest it might be a one-and-done series. However, it is not unheard of for a miniseries to be turned into a returning programme, if successful enough. Disney Plus renewed Shogun for multiple future seasons, following its blockbuster success last year. So, if Hostage does top the charts, Netflix might be quickly asking for more. The show certainly leaves a little bit hanging at the end of episode five, the series finale. What happened at the end of Hostage? Netflix ending explained Full spoilers follow from this point. Don't read any further if you haven't finished Hostage. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad The episode starts with a state of emergency being declared and the army taking control of the streets. It is confirmed that Vivienne Toussaint (Julie Delpy) had been killed in the bombing in the episode before. General Livingstone is the man behind the plot, which involved necessitating a military coup of sorts to prompt an increase in defence funding. The people responsible for the kidnapping as well as the bombing of 10 Downing Street are revealed to be soldiers who were 'abandoned' when Abigail Dalton, then a junior minister, gave the order to leave Belize before the evacuation was complete. In the show, Belize had been invaded by Guatemala in a rather undefined conflict. The previous episode it was revealed that Saskia was secretly part of the plot, posing as Matheo's girlfriend, and was one of the troops from the disbanded along with John Shagan (Martin McCann). After a confidence motion had been passed against Dalton the previous episode, following her reveal of General Livingston's plot, she is informed that it has been void and she remains Prime Minister. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad However, that was not the end of it and following the failure to kill Dalton in the Downing Street bombing John and Saskia track her family to a country house. After taking down the security guards, they hold Max and Sylvie hostage (once again). Matheo cleverly uses his phone to make a silent 999 call and alerts the authorities to the situation. After a scuffle with Saskia, Sylvie manages to escape and Dalton arrives at the house. John reveals that his fiancée had been a translator who was left behind during the evacuation of Belize and was shot shortly afterwards. She had been carrying his child at the time. As the armed police arrive, John accuses Dalton of breaking her word and Max attempts to disarm him but ends up badly injured by the knife. Sylvie, armed with Saskia's gun, breaks up the fight and John tries to convince her to shoot him, including revealing he ordered the killing of her granddad. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Syvie shoots John and then is arrested by the armed police. The antagonist appears to die, having been shot in the chest. The series ends with PM Dalton giving a speech outside 10 Downing Street to the nation. She calls a General Election, using the words of Vivienne, and aims to seek a 'radical new mandate'. A portrait of Vivienne can be seen hung-up inside Downing Street before she goes to give her speech. It certainly leaves a few things hanging, despite being billed as a 'limited series'.
