This is the moment Ross was bitten
While the turquoise waters look inviting, they are actually known for being home to the shark capital of the world.
Taking on the challenge is Sir Lenny Henry, Call the Midwife's Helen George, McFly's Dougie Poynter, comedian Ross Noble, Countdown's Rachel Riley, presenter Ade Adepitan and Motherhood star Lucy Punch.
They are lead on their expedition by shark experts including Dr. Tristan Guttridge, and at one point, he takes the celebrities to an area in the Bahamas known for its Lemon Sharks.
Dr. Tristan tells the celebrities that as they stand in the waist height water, they need to remain still, and even if the sharks nudge into them, the key is not to panic.
The stars enter the water in small groups so as not to cause too much alarm to the sharks.
Comedian Ross, 49, describes the creatures as "peaceful" and while he agrees, Dr. Tristan then adds: "Of all the sharks I've ever worked with, it's the only one I've ever been bitten by."
Moments later, a larger shark picks up the scent of the bait box in the bait box near the celebrities, and breaches the water with a fish in its mouth, causing them to be on high alert.
Indeed, the Lemon sharks then start to get a bit more "excited" and with the sea bed being churned up by their faster movements, a shark suddenly butts into Ross's ankle and bites him.
The funnyman staggers a bit in the water prompting the others to ask: "What happened?"
In a very calm voice, Ross replies: "A shark just bit me."

In a voiceover, it's explained that the shark had "an exploratory bite" after Ross didn't move when it bumped into his leg.
Dr. Tristan then decides that because the sharks are getting "a bit jumpy" they should slowly move back to the boat.
Thankfully, the bite is more of a nibble and Ross jokes that he is "lucky to be alive".
But with high drama already in the first episode, what else will the celebrities face when they head below the waves later in the series?
Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters starts tonight, Monday July 14 at 9pm on ITV1.

Sam Frost reveals how she saved her child after terrifying health scare: 'He just stopped moving'

Sam Frost has opened up about the terrifying moment her son stopped moving during her pregnancy with first child Teddy. The former Home and Away actress, 36, revealed on the Two Doting Dads podcast on Monday, her son's movements decreased in the final weeks of her pregnancy. 'Towards the due date he just completely stopped moving. I went to a midwife appointment and told her he is not moving and he is usually very active,' she explained. 'They did their scans and tests. They said they were happy and his heartbeat is strong.' Sam said she went home and 'laid awake all night with my hand on my stomach and he was not moving.' 'I went in the next day and told them "you have to check this, l'm telling you something is wrong with my baby". 'He ended up having an irregular heartbeat and they think he wasn't getting nutrients from the placenta anymore so I was induced and he came out five hours later. I feel really lucky I trusted myself.' Sam welcomed her first child, son Ted, on March 7, 2023, with Australian Survivor star Jordie Hansen. They announced the arrival of their second child, Bobby, back in March this year. 'This is bobby,' she wrote on Instagram, alongside a red love heart emoji, before revealing his full name as, 'Bobby Jordan Frost-Hansen'. 'We love you so much little man • 29/03/2025,' she continued. It wasn't long before the couple's glorious announcement was inundated with well wishers from their celebrity friends. 'I'm melting! Bobby is just beautiful. And well done you. Congratulations,' wrote TV veteran Lisa Wilkinson. 'Congratulations angel!!! He is just beautiful,' added Rachael Finch. 'Congrats angel! So happy for you!' commented podcaster Brittany Hockley. 'Congratulations darling. To you and your little family,' wrote Home and Away star Georgie Parker. In August, the actress revealed pregnancy was not easy for her. 'I found pregnancy really difficult and I thought that would be perhaps a reflection on what is going to happen coming up, but to be honest I am actually a little more relaxed than I thought,' she told Confidential on Nova radio. Sam and Jordie announced their engagement on 7 July 2022.

Slump in Gino D'Acampo's wealth since being axed by ITV revealed as shamed chef plots new life abroad

GINO D'Acampo's earnings have dropped by over £150,000 after he was axed by ITV. The channel cut ties with him in February after allegations of inappropriate behaviour. 4 New documents filed at Companies House show net assets of £195,999 for the financial year ending in April, compared to £352,534 in 2024. The shamed chef faced a considerable loss in earnings, with cash intake of £199k - down from £704k the year before. It comes after The Sun told how the former This Morning telly cook is relaunching his brand in Australia amid his UK woes. The Italian, 48, is launching 'multiple work projects', including two new restaurants and a culinary tech platform, 11,000 miles from his Hertfordshire mansion, which is now on the market for £4.2million. Last week Gino's representative said: 'He loves Australia a lot - the people, culture, cleanliness and environment.' While Gino will keep a base in the UK, he will be spending increasing amounts of time Down Under over the next two years as he also sets up a new cookware range for the international market. A source added: 'Gino has had a fantastic career over here - and still has an incredibly loyal fanbase. 'But it's been made clear to him that TV opportunities over here are few and far between in the wake of recent allegations, and that's frustrating. 'While Gino has always denied any wrongdoing, he's a pragmatist and knows it's time for new adventures. 'He's been inundated with offers Down Under following a really successful tour there. Gino D'Acampo slammed for 'highly inappropriate' cooking video as fans say 'that's disturbing and upsetting' 'He spent some time in Australia a few years ago, and loved it. He still has a large social media following and plans to capitalise on that in the next stage of his career.' The source said the star will be launching two new restaurants in Australia and will split his time between there and the UK for the next two years. His wife of 22 years, Jessica, and their three children will remain in Britain. The source added: 'But if all goes well, Australia is a full-time option.' 4 4

ITV's Unforgotten 'future in doubt' as creator 'steps down' amid series backlash

ITV drama Unforgotten could be 'facing the axe' after its next season as show writer Chris Lang speaks about his plans to 'quit' after responding to backlash last series ITV cold case series Unforgotten has been entertaining fans for over a decade - but it looks like the show is about to make a huge change. ‌ It comes two years after lead Nicola Walker who played DCI Cassie Stuart, was replaced by Sinéad Keenan, who plays DCI Jessica James. The change came after Nicola's character died after a car accident in the show in series four, with Keenan taking the lead from series five and beyond. ‌ The latest series, series 6, aired earlier this year, although some fans had criticised the show over the political theme as crime-solving duo DCI Jess James and DI Sunil Khan uncovered many hidden secrets. ‌ Viewers had complained that the "political commentary" felt too much on occasions in series six. One person stated on X: "I was a fan of each previous series. 2 episodes in and I'm finding the political commentary way too much, I think it detracts from the story and makes the whole thing less credible." Others went into describe the show as "too woke" with one writing: 'Sorry guys but you have ruined #Unforgotten as it's now complete woke nonsense!' ‌ Now, Chris has revealed he's planning to 'step down' as a writer after next year's new series. 'I'll probably hand on the baton after this series. I'll still be involved, but I've written 42 episodes and don't want to repeat myself, " Chris said in an interview with the Royal Television Society. 'I wouldn't write it if I didn't have something to say about the state of the nation," he continued. 'Because Unforgotten has an inherent and robust structure, that allows me space to hold up a mirror to British society — it's a Trojan horse show.' ‌ Responding to fan criticism earlier this year, Chris responded to one fan: "Sorry to hear that, I like to hold up a mirror to the UK, and reflect where we are." Despite the criticism, the drama which also features Sanjeev Bhaskar as DI Sunil Khan, received impressive viewing figures during the latest series in February. The first episode drew in a huge 7.4million viewers. The feedback wasn't all bad however - with many fans taking to social media to defend their favourite drama. One said: 'Just watched #Unforgotten #6. Yet again, THE best thing on television. Another agreed: "Yet again, huge credit to @ChrisLangWriter for phenomenal writing. "Yet again, huge credit to @SineadKeenan & @TVSanjeev for their excellent & totally credible performances, as to the entire cast and production." (sic)
