Horrifying moment Denise Richards' ex Aaron Phypers threatens to 'crush' her hand resurfaces amid abuse claims

Daily Mail16 hours ago
The chilling moment Denise Richards ' now ex Aaron Phypers threatened to 'crush' her hand has resurfaced after the star accused him of physical abuse this week.
Phypers, 52, filed for divorce earlier this month after six years of marriage, listing July 4 as the official date of separation.
The filing cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the breakup — and he's asking the court to grant him spousal support from Richards, 54.
Now court documents — including graphic photos — obtained by DailyMail.com revealed that on July 16, Denise filed for protection, accusing Phypers of horrific abuse that allegedly spanned their entire relationship.
An unsettling incident played out in front of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cameras in 2020 when Phypers was caught on camera threatening Richards following a confrontation with her co-stars Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp.
In the unsettling Season 10 episode Richards told her partner not to 'say a f*****g word' as they walked off hand-in-hand following the dispute.
Phypers responded: 'Don't tell me what to say. I'm going to crush your f*****g hand. Stop it.'
After the moment aired, Richards, Mellencamp, and Erika Jayne took to Twitter to react to Aaron's shocking words.
'Wait! What did he just say??,' tweeted Jayne to her 474,300 followers, which Richards and Mellencamp also shared on their accounts.
To give even more specificity to her tweet, Jayne reposted a captioned clip of Phypers saying he was 'gonna crush [Denise's] f**king hand.'
During Richards' BBQ, Richards felt she was being attacked for not bringing her children, Sami, Lola and Eloise, to the event.
But she had earlier told her castmates she did not like the way they discussed salacious stories near her girls, and it upset her that they cited her history of sexy film roles as a reason she shouldn't mind.
During the barbecue, Phypers tried to defend Denise to the women, but every word he said came off as tone-deaf and inflamed matters further.
Months after the episode aired, Richards addressed the concern over the tense exchange during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with Andy Cohen.

The pair discussed the moment after Cohen told her he received 'a lot of questions about' about it.
'Denise, what was going on there? I believe he said he was going to crush your hand,' the host asked.
Richards confirmed: 'Yeah, he was going to crush my hand.'
'I did, um, because I didn't even know that either and I played it for him and he said, "I don't even remember saying that. I don't know why I would say that, because I'm afraid of you."'
Andy then questioned why Phypers would be 'afraid' of her.
'No, it's in a joking way,' she said while breaking a smile.
Despite her attempt to put an end to the backlash over Phypers' comment, her co-stars voiced their disapproval.
'Zero tolerance,' Sutton Stracke said. 'Zero. Unacceptable.'
Garcelle Beauvais stated: 'I didn't hear it on the show, but I saw it on social media and that's when I was like, "Oh my God!' And I was, you know, I was worried."'
'Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me and hack into my laptop and phone and download all of my text messages,' Denise stated in her Request for Domestic Violence Retraining Order.
DailyMail.com has not received a response to its request for comment from reps for both Richards and Phypers.
She also alleged that 'Aaron regularly threatened to 'break my jaw' and would cry, beg me to stay, and promise to get help — none of which ever happened.'
She claimed, 'Aaron has caused me at least three concussions. Aaron has told me that he has left recording devices to record me while I was alone in hotel rooms and at my townhouses.'
Detailing a July 4 alleged confrontation, Denise said, 'Aaron repeatedly got within two inches of my face and screamed at me degrading profanities, including calling me a 'c*** w****' and a 'piece of s***.''
The following day, she alleged, 'Aaron came into her townhouse with his father and 'got within inches of my face and began yelling at me, calling me a 'c*** w****' multiple times and with his right hand violently hit the bill of my hat with the back of his hand which caused my hat to fall off my head.'
Richards added that 'Aaron repeatedly grabbed my left arm tightly.'
In the filing, Denise submitted several photos as evidence — including two showing her with a severe black eye, the bruising dark purple and visibly swollen.
'On the evening of January 17, 2022, at approximately 7:30 PM, an incident occurred at Aaron's workplace in Malibu, after hours. A female family member was present. Aaron brought several potted plants into the center and became paranoid that they contained listening devices,' Denise wrote.
'A police officer, who was in the parking lot (where officers often stop to complete paperwork or use the restrooms), approached the door after hearing the yelling. After the officer left, Aaron resumed screaming, then used the heel of his palm to strike me in the eye while calling me a 'f****** bitch.'
'The family member present witnessed the assault and immediately retrieved frozen food to reduce the swelling. A true and correct copy of a picture of my black eye is attached hereto as Exhibit '3''
She also included pictures from a red carpet event, where she claimed she forgot to conceal marks allegedly left by Aaron.
So far, Phypers has not publicly responded to the abuse claims.
Phypers was the founder of the Malibu wellness center, Q360 Club (also known as Quantum 360), until he chose to shut it down last year, on October 1, 2024.
According to his petition for divorce, filed on July 7, he has not made any income since.
Richards, allegedly makes $250,000 per month from being on OnlyFans, TV shows, having brand deals and doing appearances, he noted in the income and expense declaration obtained by the Daily Mail.
He's requesting spousal support since he alleges his monthly expenses total $105,000, and is demanding he and Richards split 50 percent of their production company, Smoke & Mirrors Entertainment.

The White Lotus creator Mike White drops HUGE hint legendary actress could return to the HBO series after they were spotted grabbing smoothies in LA

White Lotus creator Mike White has dropped a huge hint that Laura Dern could be returning to the hit series, as they were spotted grabbing smoothies in Los Angeles on Thursday. The filmmaker, 55, enjoyed a chat with the actress, 58, who had a voice cameo in the second season, at Sun Life Organic in Brentwood. For the occasion, Mike opted for a casual outfit of shorts and a navy top, while Laura looked stylish in jeans and a black jacket. The pair appeared in great spirits as they were seen laughing during their catch-up, sparking speculation that the actress could be set for a role in season four. While the actress did not physically appear in White Lotus, her voice could be heard in season two as Abby, the estranged wife of Michael Imperioli's character, Dominic Di Grasso. Fans may have noticed her voice during a quick phone call Dominic makes to Abby after he arrives at the hotel in Sicily. Their meeting has sparked speculation that the actress could be starring in season four Mike and Laura have worked together before, on their two-season HBO dramedy Enlightened. The actress starred as Amy Jellicoe, a corporate executive who takes a demotion after a humiliating nervous breakdown. Earlier this year, Mike hinted at the setting for the show's highly anticipated fourth season. The first three seasons of the HBO series were all filmed at luxury Four Seasons resorts close to a beach, which in the show serve as White Lotus hotel chains. But Mike teased that the location for season four might move away from the water. 'For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular but there's always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels,' he shared, as per Deadline. The first season unfolded in Hawaii, followed by Italy for the second, and the recently aired third season was set in Thailand. The show was renewed for a fourth season earlier this year. White didn't offer any specifics, but his hint suggests a departure from the expected hotel locations. Cast members previously ruled out cold locations, stating White prefers a warm climate. The Mail on Sunday has been told that producers are looking at Four Seasons hotels in Africa and Australia – with Marrakech in Morocco as the front-runner. A source at broadcaster HBO in the US who was in a meeting with White recently said: 'Mike wants to do a series of White Lotus on every continent.' 'He's done Hawaii and Italy and now Thailand. He hates snow, so the likelihood is Africa or Australia. No one thinks it will be Antarctica.' 'Season four has already been commissioned and Africa is the favorite. It has everything White Lotus fans expect. Heat, exotic locations and dramatic backdrops.' 'Marrakech offers heat and intrigue. Nothing has been decided, but Africa is the way Mike is leaning.' The White Lotus production crew signed a reported £25 million deal in 2021 to film exclusively in Four Seasons resorts. The MoS has been told the Four Seasons in Marrakech is one of the hotels being 'seriously' looked at. The five-star resort occupying 40 acres in the heart of the city's medina – its ancient market – is 'perfect', according to one source. 'It has Moorish gardens, the souk, the Yves Saint Laurent gardens nearby and spas and a kasbah with views of the Atlas Mountains. What's not to love?' But while Morocco may be top of the list, the MoS understands White is also looking at £1,000-a-night glamping at the Four Seasons in the Serengeti national park in Tanzania. The HBO source said: 'Mike loves the idea of going to Africa. He was talking about Egypt and a safari. There are several possible locations under consideration.' Some fans have suggested the show could be filmed in Mexico, but the HBO source said: 'Mike did Hawaii. I'd be surprised if he goes back to the Americas.' There have also been rumours that Norway could be a contender, but the source said: 'Don't think that's true. Mike hates the cold.'

Smoke – Season 1 Episode 5 Recap & Review

Size Matters Episode 5 of Smoke begins with Gudsen about to head out on his Arson Conference. Captain Burke shows up to see Englehart though, waking Gudsen up where he's currently dozing on the sofa. Burke certainly backs Calderone's credentials though, calling himself a 'loyal soldier to the department'. It soon becomes clear that this visit was actually a clever ruse to find information on Gudsen's old partner, Ezra Esposito. With the information in hand, he rings Calderone and lets her know the address. This gives her a solid lead but before she leaves, Emmett pops up, asking about his stepdad. Given he's read Gudsen's novel, he questions whether Michelle is sleeping with him. She's pretty disgusted with the implication, but interestingly, Emmett has the draft of the book and sends it over to her. Thankfully there's an audio version but given his prose, I doubt anybody is going to buy this one on Audible! Gudsen is unaware of all this as he heads to his conference, leaving Michelle to catch up with Ezra. Apparently Gudsen set up Ezra and got him fired because he got too close to the truth. 'I know he's an arsonist and you know it too,' He says. Ezra explains that it's suspicious Gudsen is always at the scene of the crime first and has an uncanny ability to find an inch long incendiary device – literally a needle in a haystack – 17 times at different arson spots. Realizing his jig was almost up, Gudsen got rid of him. Meanwhile, Freddie shows up at work and finds there's a new manager, Dev. He begins spiralling, unhappy that he's not been given the same opportunity and prepping for a big fire that night. Speaking of unhappiness, over at the conference Gudsen's usual fire stunt doesn't go to plan. One of the officers questions Gudsen's methods and embarrasses him in front of everyone. Gudsen grins it off and instead focuses on Reba, a charismatic middle-aged woman at the bar. Naturally, the pair end up in bed together, vibing over the idea of drifting through life and pretending everything is fine. Unfortunately, Gudsen has a little trouble 'standing to attention' and Reba calls Gudsen out for it. He's still hung up over the presentation and she can sense this. It's also here where we learn that Reba is his ex-wife, and she knows how fragile his ego really is. After a night of drinking, Eztra invites Michelle over to his and shows her a video of his 'initiation' with Gudsen. The video is pretty unsettling, depicting Ezra setting fire outside a caravan. Despite being told the place was empty, the caravan had dogs inside. That's not the only arson incident we see this week though. Freddie is back on the hunt, but this time there's a problem. He winds up bursting the jug, spilling liquid everywhere in the park before clumsily getting another jug. Freddie's target happens to be a white couple's place over in Crawford, where he shows up and sets light to their house using six jugs. Englehart phones Gudsen and demands he get on this. Checking out the report online, Gudsen grins and realizes that their arsonist has stepped it up a gear. He realizes that this MO means it was personal for him. In the morning, Michelle leaves after making sure Ezra is okay. Ezra explains that okay is relative, given his whole life is a mess. This interaction though is a nice way of showing where Michelle's life could go if she lets Gudsen get inside her head. Calderone continues to suffer through Gudsen's book, perking up when she hears crucial intel regarding the electrical fires. We then cut back to Gudsen, who goes full-on karaoke mode as he heads back into town in his car. However, he doesn't watch the road and winds up smashing into the side of another car. They don't look in a particularly good way, and the episode ends with everything hanging in the balance. The Episode Review As we hit the halfway point of this series, Michelle Calderone is starting to understand Gudsen is their arsonist. Seeing more context around Ezra and why he's no longer working at the station is a nice inclusion, and it helps to explain what happened to him and why he's not around now. The incident at the conference is a smart inclusion of showing precisely what sort of guy Gudsen is. It's clear that he doesn't respect anybody around him -especially women – and his ego is super fragile. Of course, the show couldn't help but throw in Hollywood's favourite mantra of 'white and pale is stale'. It's not subtle. So far this has very much been a slow burn thriller, and fizzled out a bit after a pretty explosive couple of episodes to start things off. It really does feel like the proverbial deep breath before we plunge into darker waters, and for Apple's sake, lets hope things pick up in the episodes ahead. The developer says it has focused on improving how the game plays, rather than introducing a standout new game mode or feature, with updates across movement, control and Career Mode. According to EA, the way players move has been adjusted, with changes to dribbling and run curves designed to give gamers tighter control. Goalkeeper positioning has also been overhauled using reinforcement learning, which EA says will lead to more realistic behaviour in one-on-one situations and better reaction times overall. New 'close-body volumetric animations' have also been added to improve player interactions, particularly in shielding and tight spaces. EA is also introducing two new gameplay presets: Competitive Gameplay is designed for use in Ultimate Team and Clubs, while Authentic Gameplay will offer a more realistic experience in Career Mode. Career Mode will gain a new Manager Live hub, which will feature a set of rotating, real-world-inspired challenges that will change throughout the season. EA says it will sit alongside existing Career options, and is designed to add more variety and replayability. A new Archetype system is also being added to Career and Clubs, letting gamers develop specific roles by upgrading attributes and unlocking targeted perks.
