TDP, YSRCP spar over AP's industrial policy; Palla defends CM Naidu, slams ‘toxic' criticism
TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao slammed former YSRCP IT minister Gudivada Amarnath for allegedly distorting facts about land allocation for the Ursa Data Centre. Amarnath claimed the land was allotted at 99 paise per acre, an allegation Pallla refuted, stating the actual rates were Rs 55 lakh per acre for the data centre and Rs 1 crore per acre for IT office space, with full transparency.
Palla emphasised that global tech giants like Google, TCS, and Cognizant are investing in Andhra Pradesh due to Chandrababu Naidu's transparent governance. He contrasted this with the YSRCP's tenure, during which companies like Apollo Tyres and HSBC exited the State, citing coercion and an unfavourable investment climate.
He dismissed YSRCP's criticism of Naidu's foreign visits as baseless, pointing instead to alleged scams under their rule, including a Rs 3,500 crore liquor scam and a Rs 2,000 crore sand scam, both under investigation.
As Naidu leads a delegation to Singapore to attract investments, Palla accused YSRCP of resorting to 'toxic narratives' to divert attention from their lack of developmental achievements.
He reaffirmed the TDP-led NDA government's commitment to clean governance and industrial growth, expressing confidence that the public will see through the political noise. 'The people are watching closely,' Palla concluded.

As part of his ongoing visit to Singapore, the Chief Minister met representatives from 41 leading companies, presenting the State as an ideal investment destination in the digital infrastructure and technology sectors. Ministers Nara Lokesh, T.G. Bharat, and P. Narayana, along with senior State officials, were present.

Works on Handri-Neeva completed to transfer 3,850 cusecs through main canal, says Nimmala Ramanaidu
Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu has announced the successful completion of works enabling the flow of 3,850 cusecs of water through the main canal of the Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi (HNSS) project. At a review meeting on the progress of the Handri-Neeva and Veligonda projects via videoconference on Tuesday, Mr. Ramanaidu said, 'The NDA government has achieved in one year what the previous YSRCP dispensation could not in five years.' Even in Phase-2 of the Handri-Neeva project, works such as canal widening and lining had been completed, making it possible to channel 3,850 cusecs effectively. 'The people of Rayalaseema have offered the traditional 'harathi' to the Krishna waters flowing fully through the Handri-Neeva canal,' the Minister said. Referring to the delays in the branch canal works, Mr. Ramanaidu issued memos to two Executive Engineers, who allegedly failed to respond promptly in the Punganur and Kuppam Branch Canal sections. Referring to the Veligonda project, the Minister directed the officials and agency representatives to ensure that the tunnel lining and benching works were completed by June 2026. He also instructed the departments concerned to call for tenders for feeder canal works, lining, and retaining walls. Irrigation Special Secretary G. Sai Prasad, Irrigation Adviser M. Venkateswara Rao, Engineer-in-Chief Narasimha Murthy, Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers of the projects concerned, and representatives of the contracting agencies participated.
