Brad Pitt launching linen range
Brad Pitt is launching a line of linen clothing for summer.
The Hollywood actor launched his own clothing company called God's True Cashmere in 2019 with designer and spiritual healer Sat Hari and now the brand is branching out into warm weather wear with The Elysian Collection, a unisex range made from biodegradable linen.
Brad said in a statement: "This collection is vibrant, exciting and introduces a fresh dimension to what we are doing. Linen seems like the obvious progression of the brand, adding natural fibers with properties and textures we enjoy."
Hari added: "I am inspired by this new adventure for the brand. We have focused on expressing our version of what a luxury linen garment could be.
"There is a natural progression from our cashmere line including familiar bodies, gemstones and a focus on the holistic qualities, which I believe will resonate with our customer."
The pieces - which include shirts, trousers and shorts - come in shades of cream, white, yellow and green.
God's True Cashmere launched with a range of cashmere shirts which feature seven buttons made from healing stones that are aligned with the body's chakras.
The shirts retail from around £1,500 and the collection also includes cashmere hats, scarves and socks as well as jackets and T-shirts, which sell from around £500.
Hari previously revealed she designs all the garments with the actor's help. She previously told the New Yorker: "Brad and I design it all together.
"We pick the gemstone snap that we feel resonates with the shirt. It's almost like the shirt asks for the snap that it needs."
She also explained the idea for the company came after she had a dream in which she saw Brad dressed head-to-toe in green cashmere.
She said of the dream: "I looked at him and said: 'What are you doing? Are you going golfing? You look like a leprechaun'. And he said: 'No, I just need more softness in my life'."
She later told the actor about the dream: "And he said: 'That's strange, because on Tuesday I told my stylist: 'I need more green cashmere in my life. I need more softness'."
They went on to start the company together after Hari made him a green cashmere shirt.

George Takei says coming out was 'liberating'
George Takei found coming out to be "liberating". The 88-year-old actor came out as gay two decades ago, when he was 68, and George now admits that it was a freeing experience. The former Star Trek actor told USA Today: "It feels very liberating. "I don't have to be on my guard, kind of mentally fencing and saying what I want to say but without giving myself away. I developed that skill, but now I don't need to. I can be candid and forthright." George had actually been with Brad Altman - whom he married in 2008 - for two decades before he came out. However, the decision to discuss his sexuality publicly helped to lift a weight off his shoulders. He shared: "Here I am protecting my job, my career, what I want to do, while others who had the same difference that I did were sacrificing all that and actively engaging with the larger society and making progress." George and Brad are contrasting personalities, but their relationship has stood the test of time. The actor explained: "Brad is a strict disciplinarian. Brad is detail-oriented and he's organised and he brings that detail and organisation to my life so that I can do what I do. "We understand each other." Meanwhile, George claimed in 2022 that "issues still remain" for LGBTQ actors in Hollywood. The veteran actor observed that there's been some "amazing progress" in terms of representation and acceptance in the movie industry, but George thinks there's still a lot of work that needs to be done. He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "There's no denying we have made amazing progress in terms of telling the LGBTQ story and having LGBTQ performers now acting and maintaining a career. "But … there's always that 'but', in Hollywood and in America. Issues still remain." George likened hiding his sexuality to a form of "torture". He explained: 'It was torture being closeted, because my instinct was to speak out." George also admitted that the sense of guilt gnawed away at him for years. The actor - who played Hikaru Sulu in the Star Trek franchise - said: "I felt an immense sense of guilt in not standing up."

Brad Pitt: Motorsport fans are a big part of F1 film
Brad Pitt craved the approval of motorsport fans while filming F1. The 61-year-old actor plays a Formula One driver in the new racing film, and Brad admits that having the support of sports fans means "everything" to him. He told 'Extra': "If we didn't pass their bar, than we were dead, you know? "And to get that kind of, I don't know, response means a lot to us, because we have, again, so much respect for these drivers, for this sport, for everyone, the teams, everything they put into it. They made the movie too. They're a big part of the film." Brad was always confident that the Joseph Kosinski-directed movie would win over the sceptics. He explained: "I felt pretty confident in what we have. "You know, I feel like we successfully thread this needle that's for longtime fans that really understand the sport as well as newcomers, and they understood that was our goal, and, I don't know, I think they had fun too. I think it's just fun. It's really good fun." Brad actually shot some scenes at the Silverstone racing circuit in the UK. And the Hollywood icon admitted to feeling anxious when he walked on the track at the British Grand Prix. Brad shared: "We had been, like, rehearsing there for a few weeks, so it kind of felt like it was home. "But then when the whole race movement comes in it's such a juggernaut of a is really awe-inspiring, and then to get on the track with 100,000 fans, I was a little bit nervous. "Actually, no, it was a high. Like, sitting waiting it was, once you get going, it's a high. It's a high." Brad has enjoyed a hugely successful career in the movie business, starring in films such as The Big Short, Ocean's Eleven, and Troy. And he admits that F1 has helped to reinvigorate him. Brad said: "Doing this this long and to find something that was almost like starting over, it was so full of passion and it gave me a feeling like I've never had before. It was just sublime. I'm pretty grateful for Joe Kosinski for coming up with this."
