A good concealer goes a long (long) way. For me, a good one will brighten under eyes, correct imperfections and lift my complexion, but a great concealer will go way beyond that. It comes equipped with a host of benefits that rights the wrongs of other traditional formulas, whether that be based on shade ranges, finish or staying power. Personally, I know I've found the right one when it slowly starts to replace my foundation day-to-day and Kulfi's Main Match Concealer, £26, has done just that.
Already a bestseller in the USA, where the brand first made its debut in 2021, Kulfi's concealer sits within a line up of joyful, visually masterful products that are intent on reclaiming the beauty narrative. Rooted in South Asian culture and founder Priyanka Ganjoo's own experience of working in the corporate beauty world, Kulfi functions as a love letter to self-expression, culture and storytelling. In a world where beauty has become a homogenised image of minimal, stripped-back, clean-girl aesthetics, Kulfi offers up the colourful alternative intended for all.
Sameeha using the Kulfi Main Match Concealer
'After five years in the corporate beauty world, one truth became impossible to ignore: South Asian people were still an afterthought. Shade ranges skipped us. Campaigns excluded us. And the big brands didn't see a reason to change. Growing up, make-up was frowned upon in my community - seen as vanity, rebellion, or a way to lighten our skin. But in my twenties, I began to reclaim it. Make-up became joy, play, and self-expression. Kulfi was born from that shift. From the excitement of finding the perfect shimmer. From the dream to build a space that didn't ask us to change - but celebrated us as we are,' explains Ganjoo.
It's fitting then, that Space NK has marked South Asian Heritage Month by bringing an unapologetically cultured brand into the fold. That sense of celebration and affirmation is woven into the fabric of Kulfi's DNA and can be felt across all touch points, from the brand's campaign imagery to its product packaging, which have all guaranteed it cult status State-side. The Main Match Concealer is a snapshot of that success. With 21 inclusive shades all named after South Asian hallmarks (read: Paan Party and Bad Badaam), the concealer puts skin first with a cocktail of complexion-hugging ingredients like antioxidant-rich amla fruit, hydrating saffron flower, moisturising rosehip and soothing licorice root extract, so you can treat your skin while perfecting the look of it instantly. That cocktail allows for comfortable wear, a radiant-finish, and medium, buildable coverage – something key to the Kulfi community.
Sameeha using the Kulfi Main Match Concealer
In fact, the concealer was co-created with 300 of its members to specifically cater their needs: 'high coverage while being lightweight, shades that matched their skin tones and undertones perfectly, and colour correction and concealing in a single product,' the brand's website claims. Having finally got my hands on the well-loved concealer thanks to its exclusive UK launch with Space NK, I can confirm the Main Match Concealer certainly meets that brief.
Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, says: 'I like to call myself a concealer loyalist, once I find the one it takes a lot to have my head turned by something new. But it certainly helps when the creator of said concealer is sat right in front of you. I recently met Priyanka Ganjoo, who embodies the feel-good energy of Kulfi, ahead of the brand's UK launch into Space NK. She was quickly able to prescribe a shade match without so much as swatching anything on my skin. Her guess was, of course, correct. Aside from the incredibly close shade match, I was taken by its comfortable feel and finish. It is light and traceless on the skin, and yet somehow manages to cover all my pesky blemishes and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, all without getting caky or intensely creasing. Its radiant finish is skin-like which is only helped by its hydrating feel, too. Having used it since Ganjoo introduced it to me during our one-to-one, it's safe to say I've well and truly had my head turned.' 1.

The best Indian restaurant in London, according to the 2025 English Curry Awards

On the hunt for your next great Indian meal? We feel you. If you've already worked your way through our list of the best Indian and south Asian restaurants in London, then you're probably in need of extra inspiration. Step forward the English Curry Awards. Run by Oceanic Awards, the annual competition exists to 'celebrate the rich tapestry of flavours that the curry industry brings to the English culinary landscape', and was held on August 11 in Birmingham. Worthy work, we think you'll agree. While London didn't scoop the top prize of overall national champion – that went to Sherkhan of Alnwick, a locally beloved restaurant and take-away in Northumberland – there were a bunch of regional winners and London 's greatest Indian restaurant was named as Masala Inn, which you'll find on the fringes of south London in Bexleyheath. A 'contemporary Indian restaurant and grill', Masala Inn's menu features a number of signature dishes, including Goan fish masala, creamy malabar, and lamb kaalia, as well as a host of biriani and balti dishes. Masala Inn fans have been showing their love of the restaurant on TripAdvisor, with a not too shabby 4.7 rating. One wrote: 'Everything we ordered was fantastic, especially the Malabar chicken; so rich and creamy!' Another added: 'The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is outstandingly good. I've tried many of the items on the menu, the railway curry is excellent, full of tender lamb and flavour.'

I get to test out make-up for a living. There are the 11 beauty products I'd repurchase immediately if I lost my make-up bag

Daily Mail journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission - learn more Working for a magazine, I'm lucky that I get to try a whole range of make-up products, from new launches to cult classics. It means I've developed strong opinions about what's really worth having; I've got an entire drawer stocked with make-up products at home, but only a small selection makes it into the make-up bag that I throw in my handbag every day. Ahead, I've emptied out said make-up kit (it's the Space NK Medium Travel Bag, FYI) to pick out the absolute essentials I'd have to repurchase if, God forbid, I'd ever lose it… Kulfi Badi Lash Mascara This black mascara from Kulfi Beauty is the newest addition to my everyday make-up routine. The tubing formula is water-, smudge- and sweat-proof, while the brush separates and lifts each lash. Plus, it's easy to remove with warm water and a (reusable) cotton pad. £26 Shop L'Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Panorama Mascara (Brown) I know what you're thinking: why do you need two mascaras? Well, this one is brown. And it's by far my favourite drugstore mascara. It has a clever multi-level bristle brush that allows you to separate and coat every lash from root to tip and delivers a lengthening effect. £12.99 Shop Nyx Control Freak Eyebrow Gel There's no need to spend ridiculous money on a clear brow gel. This one from Nyx does the job perfectly; it's non-sticky, keeps my brows in place all day and doesn't flake. £7.99 Shop Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (Vanilla) I've repurchased more tubes of this product than I can remember because I just haven't found a concealer that offers the same full coverage (one dot and the spot is gone) and staying power (it really lasts all day). £28 Shop Merit Beauty Bronze Balm (Clay) This bronzing stick from Merit is one of the easiest bronzers I've ever used. It has a sheer, buildable cream formula that's impossible to mess up; just swipe it across your cheekbones, jawline and forehead and blend. £26 Shop Summer Fridays Blush Butter Balm (Soft Strawberry) I don't like to pick favourites when it comes to blusher, but this new creamy, balm-like blush from Summer Fridays in the shade Soft Strawberry might just be my favourite one yet. It's very pigmented but blendable, melts into the skin and gives it a glowy, natural-looking flush. £27 Shop Giorgio Armani Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow (67 Sparkle) Definitely a splurge, but this sparkly eye tint from Giorgio Armani is the only eyeshadow I wear. It's super easy to apply – just swipe its applicator across your eyelid, once or twice; it doesn't need blending – and doesn't smudge. £32 Shop Sephora Collection Waterproof 12h Retractable Eyeliner Pencil (Matte Brown) I can't vouch for its staying power on the eyelid, but this matte brown retractable pencil from Sephora is my go-to for tightlining (i.e. applying eyeliner to the inside of my upper lash line to make my lashes appear fuller). £12.99 Shop Ole Henriksen Pout Preserve Peptide Lip Treatment (Crème Brûlée) I've tried countless tinted lip balms but I always go back to this one from Ole Henriksen. It's super hydrating, glossy and the Crème Brûlèe shade gives my lips that perfect wash of colour. £17 Shop IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Brush I actually wouldn't have to repurchase this dual-ended brush if I'd lost my make-up bag because I have a spare one at home; that's how much I love it. I use the smaller, denser end to blend in my concealer, and the large, fluffy end to blend in my bronzer and blush. £39 Shop Color Wow Cult Favorite Firm + Flexible Hairspray I always keep a travel size of my favourite hairspray in my make-up bag. It's lightweight yet manages to tame my flyaways, smells really good and leaves a pretty shine. I spray it onto a brush and comb it through my hair. £12.50 Shop To get more of what you love from your favourite Sunday supplement, follow us on Instagram (@youmagazine), TikTok (@you_magazine) and X (@YOUMagSocial).
