FINALLY: Top End Wedding TV spin-off series gets air date
The film's TV follow-up, Top End Bub, will premiere on Tuesday, September 12, on Prime Video.
The series sees Love Child star Miranda Tapsell and The Great's Gwilym Lee reprise their roles as newlyweds Lauren and Ned in the next chapter of their story, which picks up a few years on from when we saw them last.
'Lauren and Ned are living their best life in the city, which is tragically interrupted when Lauren's sister Ronelle (Shari Sebbens) dies in a car crash in the Top End,' an official release reads.
'Rushing back to Darwin, Lauren and Ned are thrown into the chaos of Top End life with Lauren's parents, Daffy (Ursula Yovich) and Trevor (Huw Higginson), and confronted with another curveball when they unexpectedly become the guardians of Ronelle's lively and cheeky young daughter, Taya.

The series, created, written and executive produced by Miranda Tapsell and Joshua Tyler and produced by Goalpost Pictures, was filmed in and around Darwin and the Tiwi Islands last year and is directed by Christian Van Vuuren and Shari Sebbens.

The drama is based on author Jenny Han's New York Times best-selling trilogy of the same name that has been adapted into a smash-hit series by Prime Video. Fans of the novels have waited patiently for the iconic peach scene from the book to come to life on the big screen, and the wait is finally over. In the episode directed by Jenny Han herself, the love triangle between Isabel 'Belly' Conklin, her fiance Jeremiah and his brother Conrad – who also happens to be her ex – intensifies after a pit stop at a roadside peach stand. With Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) away for work, Conrad (Christopher Briney) helps Belly (Lola Tung) prep for her and Jeremiah's wedding. But Conrad's feelings for her are reignited in the racy scene that involves her biting into a peach. Needless to say, the scene is rather, er, juicy … As the Rolling Stones' dreamy song Wild Horses plays in the background, the sexual tension between Belly and Conrad is undeniable as he watches her devour the peach with no inhibitions. With juice dribbling down her chin and the sunlight glowing on her hair, Belly has all of his attention. 'That is a perfect peach,' she says. 'It's nice to see that people are so passionate about it,' she told us. 'The discourse is great – it's what you're supposed to feel. I think there should be a back-and-forth pull, especially over the three seasons. Because Belly's not always sure where her heart is leading her.' Lauren Dunn is a TV personality and online content creator and podcaster. Today, she will be making spicy vodka rigatoni. This dish is super popular online at the moment and Lauren's video making it also went viral. Recipe below: Spicy Vodka Pasta Lauren Dunn Services 4 Ingredients: 50g Butter 1 cup Heavy cream Olive oil 2 cups Parmesan cheese 1 medium onion 4 cloves garlic Bunch of Basil Crushed chilli flakes salt pepper 1 jar Passata Rigatoni pasta 1/2 cup Vodka Method: Bring a large pot of salted water to boil, and cook pasta until al dente. Drain and reserve a cup of pasta water for later. In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter. Saute grated onions over medium-low heat for 5 - 10 minutes until they're super soft and translucent. Add the garlic and passata to the onion mixture, and saute for a minute or two. Deglaze the pan with vodka, scraping any browned bits from the sides and bottom of the pan. Add a cup of heavy cream, and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens. Once thickened, the sauce should be a vibrant orange colour. Stir in the pasta, parmesan cheese, and a little pasta water, and toss to combine. Cook for a minute or two until the sauce clings nicely to the pasta.

Blake Lively has been accused of trying to "harass and intimidate" a YouTuber. Content creator Lauren Neidigh, who posts under the username LethalLauren904 has sought a protective order against the former Gossip Girl star after the 37-year-old actress attempted to subpoena her as part of her legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, who she is suing for sexual harassment and retaliation. Lauren slammed the subpoenas that Blake's team had sent to Google and X in an attempt to gain information, even though the one against her had been dropped, Us Weekly reports. The YouTuber claimed she had tried to speak to Blake's lawyers but they were "largely unresponsive" and could not explain why her banking information was relevant to the case. She wrote in a letter to the judge: "[Lively's] Subpoena targeted creators who have expressed unfavourable opinions about her online. The Subpoena was not supported by any evidence. "It served to intimidate, harass, chill constitutionally protected free speech, and threaten the safety and privacy of non-parties who are not involved in this litigation." And though the Another Simple Favor star had dropped the subpoena, she left it open-ended, meaning it could still be reissued in the future, which Lauren argued placed "an undue burden on [her] and (served) to harass and intimidate [her] for her lawful expression of her unfavourable opinions of [Lively] online." The content creator requested a protective order prohibiting Blake from issuing any further subpoenas for her information due to the "ongoing threat" of "further abusive discovery requests" down the line, which she argued were designed to "intimidate" her for her "lawful expression".
