If you have no cash, get it later. While we made a really fun game it's worth waiting until the servers can support the capacity.I mean, as a CEO I of course want the game to be as profitable as possible, but if you spent yr last $ and got stuck in server queues I'd be 💔

Everything to Know About ‘The Last of Us' Season 3
The Last of Us, HBO's post-apocalyptic drama based on the PlayStation video game series of the same name, will return for a third season of mushroom monsters and character-driven storytelling. Like Season 2, Season 3 will be based on the game The Last of Us Part II, and tell the story from the perspective of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), the traumatized soldier who (spoiler alert) tortured and killed Joel (Pedro Pascal) in front of his adopted daughter Ellie (Bella Ramsey) early in Season 2. Abby is a playable character in the game, so the shift in perspective is an established part of the story, and an important element in establishing its themes of empathy and forgiveness. While we wait for news about Season 3, which could take a long while to produce, here's what we know about The Last of Us Season 3 so far, including cast, story, and potential premiere date. More from GoldDerby Jay Duplass on exposing his 'dad bod' and playing a 'soft villain' in 'Dying for Sex': 'Easily one of my biggest acting challenges' 5 slots isn't enough: More limited series deserve a chance to compete with 'Adolescence' Laugh tracks: The state of the 2025 Emmy comedy race The Last of Us was officially renewed for Season 3 in April 2025, shortly before the Season 2 premiere. There was a more than two-year gap between Seasons 1 and 2, and while the gap between Seasons 2 and 3 is likely to be shorter — the delay was partially due to the 2023 writers' and actors' strikes — it's still going to be long. It's rare for productions as large and visual effects-intensive as The Last of Us to take less than 18 months between seasons. Meanwhile, showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann and executive producer Halley Gross are still in the process of writing Season 3, and no start-of-filming date has been announced, let alone a premiere date. It's unclear if Season 3 will be the final season, but whether it is or not, the producers hope to get it out into the world in a reasonable amount of time. 'It feels like we've got one or two more seasons,' Mazin told Variety ahead of the Season 2 premiere. 'It's getting harder to make, because every episode gets big. You don't want to wait four years for a 17-episode finish, or whatever it is.' Season 2 picks up about five years after the end of Season 1, when Joel massacred a hospital full of people in order to save Ellie, who is immune from the cordyceps infection that decimated humanity, from being killed so doctors could study her blood in order to find a cure. Ellie and Joel have found a home in the community of Jackson, Wyo., but their relationship has become strained because Joel lied to Ellie about what he did to save her. Ellie would like to forgive him, but doesn't know if she can. One day, during a simultaneous infected attack on Jackson, Abby, who is the daughter of the doctor Joel killed as he was about to operate on Ellie, and her crew of followers reach Jackson and capture Joel, Ellie, and Ellie's friend Dina (Isabela Merced). Abby kills Joel, and Ellie vows to get revenge (or justice, which is how she thinks of it) as Abby and her people leave. Ellie and Dina set out on a mission to find Abby, during the course of which they become a couple, Ellie reveals she's immune, and Dina reveals that she's pregnant. They track Abby to Seattle, where the paramilitary organization she's part of, the WLF, is involved in an ongoing conflict with a group of religious fanatics called the Seraphites. Ellie finds a member of Abby's group, Nora (Tati Gabrielle), and tortures her for Abby's whereabouts. Ellie ends up killing two more of Abby's friends, Owen (Spencer Lord) and Mel (Ariela Barer), the latter of whom was pregnant, before Abby finds her and Jesse (Young Mazino), the father of Dina's baby who has come from Jackson to help them. She kills Jesse, and as she's holding Ellie at gunpoint, we hear a shot ring out but don't see what happens. We then flash back to three days earlier, from Abby's point of view. Season 3 will primarily be told from Abby's point of view as she develops a friendship with Seraphite dissidents Yara and Lev while the WLF, led by ruthless pragmatist Isaac (Jeffrey Wright), prepares to attack the Seraphites' base. Dever, who was a guest star in Season 2, will become the show's lead, while Ramsey will shift to a supporting role for at least some of the season, though how much is still TBD. 'I think that I'm going to be there, but not a whole bunch,' Ramsey told Variety. 'We've had conversations about that. I sort of have a rough idea of what it's going to be, but I can't tell you.' Mazin said that how much already established characters like Ellie, Dina, Jesse, and Tommy (Gabriel Luna) will appear in Season 3 is still being worked out. 'All I can say is we haven't seen the last of Kaitlyn Dever and we haven't seen the last of Bella Ramsey, and we haven't seen the last of Isabela Merced, and we haven't seen the last of a lot of people who are currently dead in the story,' he said during a press conference for the Season 2 finale. Bella Ramsey and Kaitlyn Dever will of course return as Ellie and Abby, respectively. Isabela Merced will return as Dina and Gabriel Luna will return as Joel's brother Tommy. Jeffrey Wright will have a larger role as Isaac, who only appeared a few times in Season 2. Spencer Lord and Ariela Barer will also likely return, as Owen and Mel play important parts in Abby's story. But, again, the story for Season 3 is still being worked out, and the cast is officially unconfirmed. Season 3 will also introduce new characters, most importantly the aforementioned Yara and Lev, who have not been cast yet. Yara was played in the game by Victoria Grace, while Lev was played by Ian Alexander. It's possible that Pedro Pascal could return in flashbacks as Joel, but that's perhaps unlikely, as all of his important scenes from The Last of Us Part II were incorporated into Season 2. Like Seasons 1 and 2, Season 3 will air on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max. Sony reveals Project Defiant arcade fighting stick
Sony has a new PlayStation-branded arcade-style fight stick coming soon. The controller, dubbed Project Defiant, was just announced during the June 2025 State of Play showcase. It should pair nicely with some of the best fighting games on PS5 as well as the recently announced Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection and the Arc System Works fighting game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The teaser only showed the stick, but more details were revealed in a subsequent PlayStation blog post. There Sony revealed that the controller can wirelessly connect to a PS5 or PC using PlayStation Link technology, though you can optionally plug it in via a USB-C cable. According to Sony, the Link allows for "ultra-low latency" with the aim of facilitating precise responses when pressing buttons or moving the stick. The Project Defiant fight stick is "custom designed" by Sony and features at least eight buttons with mechanical switches. It's a digital stick, so you can move it orthogonally but not freely in any direction. There is also a touchpad similar to the one on the DualSense controller and interchangeable restrictor gates. The controller will also come with a carrying case that includes a lever gap to keep the stick safe. Sony did not share a release date beyond 2026 instead saying that more details would come in the "months ahead." Those details will include the actual device name and eventually the launch date. But we'll have to wait and try one for ourselves to see if it's one of the best fight sticks for PS5. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips.

That shocking ‘The Last of Us' death, final seasons for ‘The Boys' and ‘Cobra Kai,' and more from Sony TV actors and showrunners
Few TV deaths have been as shocking as the one suffered by Pedro Pascal on The Last of Us. Anyone who has played the PlayStation video game from which the show is adapted knew that Pascal's character, Joel Miller, was doomed from the start, yet his demise midway through Season 2 still came as a surprise. And as game creator and series cocreator Neil Druckmann revealed during a recent FYC event for Sony Television some higher-ups were desperate to keep it from happening for as long as possible. As Druckmann recalled, he had a conversation with Casey Bloys, CEO of HBO, who said, "I just got off the call with this agent, and he yelled at me: 'Why didn't you offer those guys millions of dollars to not kill Pedro?'" Bloys, to his credit, said, "A deal's a deal. We have to adapt the material." This was the first time that Craig Mazin, who adapted the game for television with Druckmann, heard anything about this, and he immediately asked, "Wait, that was on the table? I totally would've done it for millions of dollars." More from GoldDerby 'There's an epic nature to this story': 'Dune: Prophecy' star Emily Watson teases travels to Arrakis for Season 2 Kaitlyn Dever on playing 'horrible' characters in 'Last of Us', 'Apple Cider Vinegar': 'I just don't see any other option but to give 100 percent' How the longtime 'Severance' cinematographer wound up directing Season 2's standout episode Druckmann and Mazin were among the many participants in a wide-ranging Q&A on behalf of Sony Pictures Television, which took place on the Sony lot in Culver City, Calif. The event showcased multiple shows produced by Sony this year, including The Boys, Cobra Kai, Dark Matter, Doc, Long Bright River, The Night Agent, and Outlander. Actors and showrunners from each of the series offered insights into the relationship between the written word and the performers who bring it to life. Among those present were Isabela Merced, who joined The Last of Us as Dina, Ellie's (Bella Ramsey) girlfriend. No matter what the character, Merced reveals she imbues them with traces of "the people I love in my life, the people that I see parts of myself in and see parts of me in them. We're just projections of people we love anyways, so I just make sure to channel that." In the case of Dina, she drew from her mother, because the character is "very calculated, but she's also very caring of the people that she loves. She's very maternal, and not just because she's pregnant. She's very in touch with her emotions, and my mom is that way. She inspires me in many ways." Photo byfor Sony Pictures Television Representing The Boys, which is entering its final season, were creator Eric Kripke and actor Antony Starr. "We start the very final episode tomorrow," Kripke told the audience, who groaned knowing that one of their favorite shows would soon be off the air. It's been a long journey for Starr, who has portrayed the villainous superhero Homelander for four seasons. "We said right from the very beginning we didn't want any mustache-twirling," he recalled of his initial conversations with Kripke. "We wanted to create something from the ground up, inside out, that just happened to be a psychopathic version of Superman. I've always thought that his humanity was his kryptonite." As The Boys prepares to shoot its final episode, Cobra Kai has aired its last season, and creator Josh Heald and star William Zabka were both present to bid farewell. It was especially bittersweet for Zabka, who first played Johnny Lawrence in the original Karate Kid all the way back in 1984. "There was a moment in Season 1 when I realized Johnny wasn't mine anymore," Zabka stated. The creators "wanted to give Johnny the Better Call Saul treatment, kind of beat him down and make him an antihero." After filming one scene that he was particularly resistant to, he realized, "Johnny Lawrence doesn't belong to me anymore. This is their vision, I'm going to go with it." That led to "jumping point after jumping point of pushing the limits and stretching me, and making me uncomfortable, which plays into the character. It wasn't until season one came out that I realized they nailed it."for Sony Pictures Television) Representing Dark Matter were stars Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly, as well as creator Blake Crouch, who adapted the series from his own novel. "You just have to go to any awards ceremony to know that actors do need a script," Edgerton joked, summing up the theme of the evening. "We can't do it on our own; it's a collaboration." As a performer, "I need guardrails, and the guardrails are Blake's understanding of character, and what he lays out story-wise. We can contribute, and we can offer up thoughts of what we know, but essentially it feels like you're building a car and we get to drive it." The evening also featured discussions with Doc star Scott Wolf, showrunner Barbie Kligman, and executive producer Hank Steinberg; Long Bright River showrunner Nikki Toscano and author Liz Moore; The Night Agent creator Shawn Ryan; Outlander executive producer Maril Davis; and Cobra Kai co-creator Hayden Schlossberg. The evening also featured a panel with stunt coordinators for The Boys (John Koyama) and Cobra Kai (Ken Barefield) and the fight coordinator for The Night Agent (Josh Fried).
