At least 1,000 camels compete in Sharjah 1,500 metre race
Under the patronage of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Al Dhaid Camel Race Track hosted the Fatameen race for locally bred camels on Saturday. The event was organised and supervised by the Sharjah Camel Racing Club. Thrilling young camel category races at Al Dhaid track
The event was organised and overseen by the Sharjah Camel Racing Club and included 18 races in total: 8 races for local Al Dhaid owners (joint), 6 open category races, and 4 for the Saoub category, all over a distance of 1,500 metres.
