Lindo was headlining the Lapu Lapu Festival on Saturday evening alongside singer J-Rey and had finished performing around 8 p.m. when a 30-year-old man barreled through the revelers in a black SUV just as organizers had begun removing barricades to clean up.

Dozens of people were injured, and officials cautioned that the death toll is likely to rise.
Lindo included in his post a list of victim services and mental health crisis lines for anybody affected, and asked his fans to keep the victims and their families in mind.
'The one thing I have noticed – from the audience to the messages sent around, is the sense of community that wraps its loving arms around us. We love you all,' he said.
'Our hearts are broken for the victims, their families, and everyone affected by the tragedy.'

Thongbue Wongbandue, 76, fatally injured his neck and head after falling in a New Brunswick parking lot while rushing to catch a train to meet 'Big sis Billie,' a generative Meta bot that not only convinced him she was real but persuaded him to meet in person, Reuters reported Thursday.
