Jennifer Lawrence Zhuzhes Up a White Tee for Date Night
Regardless of your philosophy on date night outfits—whether you prefer to dress up or keep it casual—everyone wants to feel their best. For Jennifer Lawrence, nothing's better than a plain white tee. Last night, for a parents' night out with her husband Cooke Maroney, the actor donned a simple crewneck T-shirt and a billowing black A-line midi skirt. But as Lawrence knows, accessorizing does the heavy lifting when elevating a look from day to night. (Another subscriber to this sartorial school of thought? Rihanna, whose layered jewelry and silk scarf recently turned a pair of pajamas into daywear.) BACKGRID USA Over her white T-shirt, Lawrence added an intriguing black blazer (likely from Australian brand Dissh) with a short lapel and a long trail of buttons cascading down the front. A documented fan of statement necklaces, the actor added a gold chain with large charms, which she coordinated with black ballet flats with a gold ankle strap. A longtime Dior ambassador, Lawrence toted the French house's monogram top-handle D-Vibe bowling ball bag. A crewneck T-shirt is the cornerstone of almost any Jennifer Lawrence outfit. But the actor is never one to bore us with her style—every look is elevated in some way, be it with the help of an on-trend scarf, a skant, or a funky layering strategy. While the lion's share of her tees are worn during the daytime, this look is a reminder that they work just as well for night.

5 Tu Clothing autumn pieces to buy before they sell out, according to a shopping expert
These stylish and affordable pieces are already flying off shelves. I'll be the first to admit that I love a good supermarket brand. Whether it's stylish homeware or unexpectedly chic clothing, British high street stores like George at Asda and F&F Clothing always come through. However, when it comes to trend-driven fashion at seriously affordable prices, my favourite by far is Tu Clothing. Tu Clothing consistently delivers on both style and price, and I'm all about shopping smarter. After all, why pay three times the price for something almost identical elsewhere? That just leaves you with more to spend on the things that really matter. And that doesn't mean Tu Clothing skimps on quality either. Case in point: a pair of £18 sandals I've lived in this summer could easily pass for designer (we're talking £300 vibes). And don't even get me started on my go-to denim joggers from the brand - I've worn them almost every week. Jeans that feel like joggers? Genius. I will never stop raving about them (they've just released a new pair here). Browse new-in Tu Clothing Browse Tu's denim collection So, you can imagine how excited I was when Tu Clothing dropped their new denim collection, along with some super on-trend 2025 autumn pieces. I was first to the checkout and had everything delivered ASAP so I could report back on what's actually worth buying (spoiler: nothing disappointed). Here are the fashionable finds I think you'll be glad you snapped up - and I have a feeling some of them are going to sell out quickly. ✨ Indigo Denim Midaxi Dress, £28 ✨ Shop now Do I need another denim dress? Absolutely not. However, a denim dress is my go-to when I don't know what else to wear but still want to look cool and effortless. This one really does tick all the boxes, from its midi length to the half button-up design (the fewer buttons, the better in my eyes) and the coordinating belt that lets you cinch in your waist as much or as little as you like. It's also a bargain £28! A similar design I had my eye on at Whistles is a whopping £149 and the Tu Clothing design seems even better, as it has thoughtful features like the side pockets, back pockets (yes, you can never have too many pockets), and a slit that makes it easy to move. It also gets a massive plus for being made from super-stretchy denim, it's not stiff at all and feels soft on the skin. It's already selling out in sizes, and I think it'll definitely be one of the first items to go. Honestly, I can't think of a single reason you'd regret buying it. ✨ Mid Denim Studded Relaxed Straight Leg Jeans, £26 ✨ Shop the blouse Shop the jeans If you really want to upgrade your jeans this autumn, an on-trend addition is a pair of studded jeans. Now, this is actually way more chic than you might think. What I loved about these is the straight-leg design, which is super relaxed and versatile. I went for the regular length (I'm 5'5'), but they also come in short and long options. The mid-wash is the perfect shade of denim, and the stud detailing makes them look incredibly expensive while adding that extra something to your outfits. A very similar pair by a high-end brand retails for over £200, so these are a real bargain! They also haven't skimped on the studs, they run down the seams and over the pockets, giving them a luxe feel. They're also made from 99% cotton (yes, really, at that price), which makes them soft, stretchy, and honestly, you don't even feel like you're wearing jeans. Absolute 10/10. I paired them with a brand-new blouse, also from Tu Clothing, which is a total showstopper with its floral embroidery and blouson sleeves (£22.50 and selling out fast - it also comes in navy). While I finished the look with a simple pair of silver pumps for a more casual vibe, these jeans will no doubt come in handy over the festive period too - just add some sequin accessories and a silver top for a casual, party-ready outfit. ✨ Denim Waist Panel Midaxi Skirt, £22.50 ✨ Shop the cardigan Shop the skirt Finally, denim midi skirts have been making a major fashion comeback over the past few years. While the trend immediately reminded me of my mum and her Per Una denim skirt in the '90s, I've slowly come around to the idea of trying one myself, although I struggled to find a style that felt flattering and didn't look frumpy. So, when I saw this drop-hem skirt (another big silhouette trend for autumn 2025), it felt like I'd finally found a winner, especially since a similar style at Boden is £99 and almost sold out in every size. I just love the shape this skirt gives me and it's super swishy and elegant to wear, thanks to the full pleated skirt. A denim skirt also has serious styling versatility - you can wear it with boots, trainers, blazers, tucked-in knits and more - the outfit options are endless. It's definitely a worthy addition to your wardrobe and is bound to pay for itself in cost-per-wear in no time. I paired it with Tu's Soft Knit Crew Neck Cardigan in a very on-trend deep burgundy hue. It's only £18 and also comes in grey, beige, and pink. The fabric is super soft, making it a great layering piece for autumn. Plus, you wear it buttoned up or left open over a T-shirt for a more casual look. 🛍️ More denim styles from Tu Clothing 🛍️

Louis Vuitton Beauty Is Almost Here — & I Tried Everything First
Louis Vuitton has always been synonymous with fashion and travel accessories, and now, the iconic French maison is expanding its collection of luxury goods (including a fragrance range that launched in 2016) to bet big on makeup. Today marks a new chapter in the heritage brand's history with La Beauté Louis Vuitton, a debut collection of beauty products that combines signature LV house codes. And behind it all? Iconic makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath, as creative director. 'Working backstage for over 20 years at Louis Vuitton fashion shows, I am thrilled to now play such a key role in the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, which is the result of extraordinary craftsmanship, creativity and innovation,' McGrath says via press release. The inaugural lineup includes lipstick, lip balm and a curated array of eyeshadow palettes, all conceived as cosmetics, yes, but also objets d'art to be kept, refilled and treasured for years to come. Let's start with LV Rouge lipstick. Available in 55 shades (a subtle nod to the Roman numerals LV) and two finishes (matte and satin), infused with lip-loving ingredients like shea butter and hyaluronic acid, plus waxes derived from rose, jasmine and mimosa flowers. Each lipstick bullet is stamped with the iconic LV monogram and features the signature monogram flower on the cap. Taking the sensorial experience to the next level, the lipsticks are scented with a custom floral fragrance developed by house perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. As I swiped on the various shades, they felt like the equivalent of couture on my lips; the shades are dimensional and beautifully pigmented, and feel comfortable and effortless on my lips. Monogram Rouge, a muted warm red that almost wears like a neutral, feels as effortlessly chic as French girl beauty always — and rather deceptively — appears. It doesn't feel makeup-y or lipstick-y, but rather like a luxury accessory that brings your entire look to life. Next, there's LV Baume — the most luxurious lip balm I have ever tried. Available in 10 shades (including clear), the hydrating formula adds a sheer tint that brings lips to life. (My favourite of the bunch: Monogram Touch, a sheer chocolate brown that echoes the unmistakable initials on the iconic LV canvas.) Like the lipsticks, the balms are also gently scented with a subtle raspberry-mint fragrance and are easily refillable. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Louis Vuitton (@louisvuitton) Last, but not least, adorn your eyelids with the LV Ombres eyeshadow quads, which are available in eight distinct colour stories. Ranging from luminous beige to lipstick-inspired (and surprisingly wearable) burgundy, the silky, pigmented shadows are gentle on the eyes, thanks to moisturising ingredients like plant-derived squalane and camelina flower oil extract. Best of all, the quads take the guesswork out of picking shades that work together in a single eye look. (These gorgeous palettes are also refillable, but note that each petal-shaped pan is magnetised individually and requires a bit of finesse to swap in and out.) The full collection drops on 25th August, so be sure to set those alarms if you want to own a piece of luxury beauty history. (And when we say 'luxury', we mean it: LV Rouge and LV Baume retail for £120 each, and LV Ombres go for £190.) 'I've always said makeup is more than product: it's performance, obsession and emotion,' McGrath says. 'This new chapter is about pushing craftsmanship into a new realm.'
