According to airline sources, Air India CEO Campbell Wilson addressed employees during the service. Struggling to hold back his emotions, Wilson acknowledged the depth of collective grief, saying, 'There are no words that can truly capture what we're feeling. Each of us will carry this loss in our own way, but together, we have a shared responsibility -- to honour our colleagues' memory, their service, and their spirit through the way we move forward.'

The tragedy of AI171 has left a deep void within the Air India family. But yesterday's memorial, as described by the airline's source, served as a powerful reflection of unity, remembrance, and the enduring bond among those who take to the skies.
On June 12, a London-bound Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed into a hostel complex of BJ Medical College in the Meghani Nagar area of Gujarat's Ahmedabad shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The tragedy claimed 241 lives out of 242 onboard. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was headed to London with 230 passengers and 12 crew members. (ANI)

Special arrangements in Gujarats Dwarka for Janmashtami
Dwarka (Gujarat) [India], August 16 (ANI): Special security and logistical arrangements have been put in place in Gujarat's Dwarka for Janmashtami, with dedicated facilities for senior citizens, differently abled devotees, and mothers, along with provisions for clean drinking water and enhanced sanitation. 'From Hathi Gate to Sudama Setu, we have assigned a dedicated team to ensure that all toilets and bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained. The water management has been done through almost 5 water tanks and the cold and clean water from these water tanks will be distributed to the devotees all over the road and since last 2 days…almost 10 JCBs and 15 tractors and trolleys are used in cleaning all the temples in our Dwarka taluka i.e. Dwarka, Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar, there is a dedicated programme for their cleaning, we have been doing this since last 2 days and will continue this for the next three days," he said. Punjab CM Mann pays obeisance at Tilla Baba Sheikh Farid
Faridkot (Punjab) [India], August 15 (ANI): Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday paid obeisance at Tilla Baba Sheikh Farid and urged people to follow in the footsteps of the revered Sufi floral tributes to Baba Sheikh Farid, the Chief Minister described him as one of the greatest spiritual ambassadors, a poet-prophet, and the founder of the Sufi tradition in India. He said that Baba Farid ji is regarded as the father of Punjabi poetry, and that his philosophy–centred on love, compassion, equality, humility, brotherhood, and freedom–remains timeless and universally relevant. The CM further stated that Baba Sheikh Farid's Bani, comprising 112 shalokas and four shabads, was incorporated into the Guru Granth Sahib by Guru Arjan Dev Chief Minister emphasised that the Guru Granth Sahib Ji was a cosmopolitan scripture representing all faiths and is a vast repository of knowledge and wisdom, serving as a guiding light for all of humanity. 'When we bow our heads in reverence before the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, we also pay homage to Baba Farid along with the great Gurus–with the same devotion and respect," Mann said. He also stated that the life and teachings of Baba Farid were especially relevant in today's materialistic society. Mann also stated that Baba Farid's teachings continued to inspire future generations to serve humanity with dedication and humility. Urging the people to follow the path shown by Baba Farid Ji, he said that doing it would help transform Punjab into the number one state in the country. The CM also expressed his happiness on the opportunity to be able to pay homage to Baba Farid's s sacred site. The great poet Baba Farid serves as the starting point of our literary tour of Punjab.
