Riccardo Tisci faces sexual assault allegation
A New York man, Patrick Cooper, claims that in June last year, the former Burberry and Givenchy creative chief drugged his drink at a restaurant and the next thing he knew he was waking up, naked, in the designer's townhouse in SoHo, NYC. He has also accused Tisci of sexually assaulting him while he was drugged and completely disorientated.
UK newspaper The Independent first broke the story this week and said Cooper had told it that after leaving the house he went to hospital for rape kit testing and then contacted the police.
Tisci didn't comment when the newspaper contacted him, nor did his agent and a spokesperson for the NYPD wouldn't confirm or deny any details.
The Italian is a highly respected designer and a celebrity favourite. He spent 12 years at the creative helm of LVMH 's Givenchy until 2017. He then joined Burberry in 2018 after Christopher Bailey 's long tenure and stayed there until September 2022 ahead of Daniel Lee 's arrival.
He's also undertaken a number of creative collaborations, including with Nike. The most recent one of these was the launch this year of a luxury handbag.

Celebrated American comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has revealed he has obtained Italian citizenship, following Donald Trump's comments that Kimmel's show could be 'next' on the chopping block after CBS cancelled Stephen Colbert's show. Kimmel, a longtime critic of Trump, referred to his dual citizenship during an appearance on The Sarah Silverman Podcast. 'I did get Italian citizenship,' Kimmel shared – something which was confirmed by Italian news agency Ansa, who said that he obtained Italian citizenship this year after proving his ancestral lineage. He noted that several American A-listers – including Ellen DeGeneres and Rosie O'Donnell - had also sought dual citizenship considering the current state of affairs in the US, with Trump targeting media personalities who don't politically align with him and are vocally critical of his administration. 'What's going on is… as bad as you thought it was gonna be, it's so much worse. It's just unbelievable. I feel like it's probably even worse than [Trump] would like it to be.' Kimmel has often criticised Trump in monologues on his show Jimmy Kimmel Live!. He has also spoken out against the president when hosting the Oscars, memorably fueling their feud in 2024 by reading out Trump's criticism of the ceremony before the announcement of Best Picture. Trump posted on Truth Social during the ceremony and called Kimmel a bad host, to which Kimmel responded: 'Well, thank you President Trump. Thank you for watching, I'm surprised you're still up – isn't it past your jail time?' The host has also referred to Trump as 'Commander-In-Thief", 'His MAGA-Sty", 'Jabba The Pizza Hut' and 'The Shart of the Deal' - in reference to Trump's book, 'The Art of the Deal'. Visible from space: Vesuvius fire has three fronts still active
The fire that broke out on Friday night in the Mount Vesuvius National Park continues to burn. The extremely high column of smoke produced by the fire in the national park is also visible from space. Satellite photos showing the Gulf of Naples with a long white plume rising from one side of the volcano have gone viral on the web, demonstrating the severity of the fire and the extent of the fire front. According to information from the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, at the end of a meeting of the Rescue Coordination Centre, there are still three active fronts: the Valle del Gigante towards Monte Somma, where the Canadair firefighting aircraft are operating, the southern slope of the crater, where regional Civil Protection helicopters are battling the flames. Thai prosecutors indict dozens linked to deadly building collapse
State prosecutors in Thailand have formally indicted 23 individuals and companies on charges related to the collapse of a Bangkok office building that was destroyed after an earthquake, killing at least 92 people. The partially built high-rise, which was to house the new State Audit Office, was the only one in Thailand to completely collapse on 28 March due to the 7.7 magnitude earthquake, which had its epicentre in neighbouring Myanmar. Those indicted include the lead contractors for the project: Italian-Thai Development Co. and its Chinese joint venture partner for the project, the China Railway No. 10 company. Italian-Thai Development's president, Premchai Karnasuta, and China Railway No. 10's local director, Zhang Chuanling, were also indicted along with others, including designers, engineers and several other companies. The charges in the indictments include professional negligence in design, supervision, or construction practices that failed to comply with engineering standards, resulting in danger to others and causing deaths, according to a statement from the Office of the Attorney General. Additional charges include forgery and use of forged documents. The indictment of Premchai is his second major tangle with the law. In 2019, he was convicted of killing protected animals and illegal possession of weapons while hunting in a wildlife sanctuary for which he served three years in prison. Several of those indicted on Thursday had already surrendered to police and denied any wrongdoing. An investigation by police and other officials found design and structural flaws were behind the building's collapse and that some of the officially approved designs were not implemented. The earthquake killed more than 3,700 people in Myanmar and caused major damage in Mandalay, the country's second-biggest city, and in the capital Naypyidaw.
