During an appearance on ESPN's First Take, WWE Superstar Roman Reigns shared his opinion on the promotion's newest partnership.
"It's almost like the news cycle in itself," Reigns said. "It's always something new for us. It's always something bigger and better. You know, I think Nick Khan has done a great job of leading us and the proof is in the pudding. We just keep leveling up, and this is no different."

When it came to the WWE fanbase, Reigns believed that this only meant good things for the future.
"I think it's a chance to continue to grow," Reigns said. "I mean, anytime you can team up with a platform like ESPN, I mean, you guys are the sports media leaders. Nobody does it better than you guys. So to help us tell these stories, to help us reach and have as much attention, it's an obvious partnership.
"So it's huge for our fanbase. Anytime we can grow our art form of sports and entertainment, it's always gonna benefit our fans."

WWE President Nick Khan seems confident that fans will make the move from Peacock to ESPN during an appearance on The Varsity.
"Will the subs follow the product to whatever that new platform is? I think we've demonstrated to Peacock, our subs will follow, they certainly all followed from the WWE Network, and that expanded that subscribership extensively with Peacock," Khan said.
"And there's obviously other product at Peacock to watch, which our fans who subscribe primarily for us were able to sample. Same will be the case with ESPN."
Nick Khan is confident people who subscribed to Peacock for WWE 'PLEs' will follow the product to be subscribers of ESPN to continue watching their 'PLEs.'

While this is certainly a nice sentiment, WWE fans appear to be against the idea in general, largely due to the significant price increase that will come with the move.
Currently, WWE PLEs are on Peacock along with a massive back catalog of content. For all this as well as the rest of the NBCUniversal library, people only need to pay $10.99 per month at the most basic level.
Meanwhile, the ESPN streaming service will cost $29.99 per month, nearly three times as much. While there will be an option to bundle that with Disney+ and Hulu at the same price, that will only be for the first 12 months.

Vince McMahon defends bringing Hulk Hogan back to WWE after ‘unforgivable' comments
Vince McMahon defended his decision to bring Hulk Hogan back to WWE in 2018, three years after the company severed ties with him once it was revealed that the pro wrestling icon had used a racial slur. McMahon, who resigned from WWE and parent company TKO in January 2024 after a sexual misconduct lawsuit was filed against him by a former company employee, addressed his reaction to comments Hogan made during a sex tape and what happened in the aftermath during an interview for TMZ's special on the Hulkster that aired Tuesday night on Fox. McMahon had no issues bringing Hogan, who died at 71 in July, back to the WWE Hall of Fame and the company's programming in 2018 after the multi-time world champion had paid a price in his eyes. Advertisement 'I knew he wasn't racist. I've been with him for so many years. He wasn't a racist. He said some racist things. He should pay for that, and he did,' McMahon said on 'TMZ Presents: The Real Hulk Hogan.' 'In the end, I think everyone saw the real Hulk Hogan, Terry Bollea, and they felt, 'Wait a minute, this guy doesn't act like a racist. He's not a racist.' We all make mistakes. That was a big one, but he wasn't a racist.' 3 Vince McMahon defended bringing Hulk Hogan back to WWE. Zuffa LLC Advertisement In the 2007 sex tape that leaked in 2015, Hogan can be heard using the N-word multiple times and saying: 'I guess we're all a little racist.' There is also audio of a 2008 conversation with his son Nick in prison, during which Hogan used racist language. 3 Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan Starworld Fotos 2003 Hogan's good friend Jimmy Hart also stated to TMZ that he did not believe Hogan was a racist. McMahon, who, along with Hogan, built WWE into a global wrestling power in the 1980s, could not believe the comments he heard from Hogan on the sex tape. Advertisement 'It was unforgivable and I was aghast, 'What happened?'' McMahon said. 'When those things occurred, that's not like him. 'What in God's name is going on?'' It left WWE no choice but to shun Hogan. 'As soon as it happened, obviously, the company didn't have anything to do with him anymore,' McMahon said. 'We took him out of the Hall of Fame. You just don't do those things.' Advertisement Hogan had called it a 'glitch' and made attempts to apologize for his comments, but some, like former WWE star Mark Henry, have felt the legend did not go far enough to make things right. Henry refused to defend what Hogan said, but added that he offered Hogan and McMahon the idea of the Hulkster appearing at black colleges to help fix the situation at the time. 3 Hulk Hogan appears at WrestleMania 30 at the Superdome on April 6, 2014 in New Orleans. MediaPunch/Shutterstock 'Go and talk to them and be honest with your apology. He [Hogan] was like, 'I've been advised not to talk about it no more.' I said, 'I think that's bad advice,' Henry told TMZ. McMahon, who has been persona non grata around WWE and its new parent company TKO after the lawsuit against him, was also asked if he had mixed emotions about not being invited to take part in any of the tributes WWE had for Hogan after his passing. 'It struck me that way as well,' McMahon said. He called Hogan's death a blow to my heart and was angry that his friend was booed during his last WWE appearance.

DaRon Bland wants Cowboys extension as Micah Parsons drama lingers
The words Cowboys and contract negotiations have become a rough combo this summer, with the franchise deadlocked in a stalemate with Micah Parsons. But another player signaled some hopefulness of getting his own contract extension dealt with before the start of the season. Cornerback DaRon Bland told reporters after Tuesday's practice that his representatives and the Cowboys have had 'some talks' about an extension and 'hopefully' can get a new deal done before the Sept. 4 season opener, according to Cowboys team reporter Tommy Yarrish. Advertisement Cowboys cornerback DaRon Bland during Cowboys training camp at the River Ridge Fields. Kirby Lee-Imagn Images Bland, 26, is set to enter the final year of his contract. 'I do, but I'm not here to talk about it really too much,' he responded to a question about wanting to get a deal done before the new season. 'But yeah, hopefully.' Advertisement Bland is set to make $5.3 million in 2025 before potentially becoming a free agent without a new deal. There were high hopes for the corner last season after a strong 2023, but he missed the first 10 games of 2024 because of injury (foot fracture) and ended the year with 41 tackles and five passes defended. Bland had earned All-Pro honors in 2023, recording 69 tackles and 15 passes defended while grabbing nine interceptions. Getty Images Advertisement Of course, the Cowboys have found themselves embroiled in a prolonged situation with one of their best players over a new contract. The Parsons issue has cast a pall over training camp and even led to A-list actor — and noted Cowboys fan — Denzel Washington to take a jab at team owner Jerry Jones while appearing on ESPN's 'First Take.' 'I've been a Cowboys fan since the '60s. He's making it hard for me,' Washington said about Jones on Tuesday. 'Not to be a fan, because I'm still a Cowboys fan. 'I'm still going to have the star on the side of the hat, but he ain't thinking about us. He's thinking about his pocket.'

ESPN Reveals Top 11 College Football Helmets, Fans Debate Their Favorites
ESPN Reveals Top 11 College Football Helmets, Fans Debate Their Favorites originally appeared on The Spun. This one could get heated. It wouldn't be college football without awesome uniforms and iconic helmets. And on Tuesday, ESPN put together its list of the 11 best in the sport. There were some predictable schools on there like Michigan's classic winged design and Phil Knight's experimentation at Oregon — but the network left one of the spots up to fans: Clemson TCU Oregon Florida State Ohio State Notre Dame Michigan Tennessee Texas SMU UCLA ? Needless to say it sparked plenty of debate online when the outlet asked who's best. "You know who!" UCLA replied. "🤔👀 ... Pretty easy for us," Arizona State posted. "Look outside your precious P4, and you'll find the BEST helmet 🌊🏈" Tulane commented. "Not even on the graphic is wild," a Gators fan said. "best lid in college football and it's really not even close ✌🏻" a USC alum claimed. "Whenever I look at any college football helmet, I get a sense of joy," a user admitted. "It's not Notre Dame, I can guarantee you that," another person laughed. "Helmet looks like the gold dust you would get from Michaels for a school project in elementary school LMFAO😭" "Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, Notre Dame. Those are the 4," an account stated. "I actually like Penn State's helmet. 😂" another user cried. "Who thought it was a good idea to put Clemson's helmet on this graphic 😭😭" "Not having the stormtrooper helmet of college football is criminal," an Auburn fan argued. There's no shortage of great helmets to choose from so there's really no wrong answer. On any given Saturday, any program has the potential to be the best. What school do you think has the best lids in CFB? And which one deserves to be knocked off the list? Let us know in the comments.
