Farmer helps Suffolk firefighters battle 1000-tonne stack fire
The Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said relief crews from Clare and Mildenhall took over in the early hours.They continued to dampen down the surrounding area and monitor the spread of the fire, which was exacerbated by strong winds.Crews from Long Melford and Sudbury later took over, working on the fire until and the arrival of firefighters from Ipswich East.The farmer also arrived at the scene and worked around the base of the stack to help prevent the fire's spread.

Crews warn visitors to keep away from Langdale Moor fire
People visiting the scene of a major moorland wildfire to take photos have been asked to stay away, as crews remain at the fire broke out near RAF Fylingdales on Langdale Moor near Pickering, North Yorkshire, last Monday its peak, 19 fire appliances were at the scene and a major incident was declared. Eleven fire crews tackle Halifax derelict mill blaze
Fire crews have been tackling a blaze at a derelict mill that saw a large plume of black smoke rise above fire broke out just before 19:00 BST on Saturday at the building in Cinderhill Works in the Siddal Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) said 11 crews were sent to the scene, using large jets and an aerial appliance to put out the fire. The service said its control room received 80 calls within five minutes when the smoke was first seen. The building was said to be about 65ft x 98ft (20m x 30m) in size, and half of it was engulfed in flames. WYFRS said the incident concluded at 01:30 BST on Sunday and thanked members of the public who respected the cordon and followed safety advice to keep doors and windows shut.
