Prepare for belly laughs and lots of sobbing: it's the third and final chapter of Jack Rooke's touching semi-autobiographical comedy about the friendship between a young gay man and his straight best mate. As the final year of university looms, Jack (Dylan Llewellyn), Danny (Jon Pointing) and the gang are forced to make big decisions about their futures – including Jack's dissertation title ('To Bum Or Not to Bum' is one idea). Before things get serious, though, the opening double bill kicks off with a Faliraki holiday – complete with all the naughty gags, fun 2010s references (look out for the Rylan cameo) and lovely heart-to-hearts that make this show such a hit. Newly acquainted detective duo DCI Jessica James (Sinéad Keenan) and DI Sunny Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar) may have got off to a bumpy start last season, but they're back with a grisly new case to solve (which is, at least, a welcome relief from their personal dramas). When a spine is found on the Whitney Marsh, there are four potential suspects for Jessica and Sunny to investigate. Continues on Monday. HR

Scott of the Antarctic, 1.15pm, BBC Two
We do love a heroic failure in this country, and there's none more so than explorer Robert Scott, who set out to be the first to reach the South Pole but was beaten to it by a smarter man in the Norwegian Roald Amundsen. There's a lot of stiff upper lips and frostbitten toes in Charles Frend's fact-based rendering of the tragic tale, with the great John Mills the epitome of gentility and pluck as his expedition tromp heavily through beautiful Technicolor snowscapes and -40C temperatures towards second place. Hammer's 1967 adaptation of the third of Nigel Kneale's celebrated BBC sci-fi dramas is easily their best, gripping and well-acted with pretty decent special effects. Andrew Keir is a thoughtful but twinkly-eyed Quatermass, a rocket scientist intrigued when work on a Central line extension in London digs up weird prehistoric ape skulls next to an unusual, possibly alien craft. Supported by palaeontologists James Donald and Barbara Shelley and butting heads with Julian Glover's blinkered military type, he uncovers an ancient, malevolent secret. SW

EastEnders confirms unexpected Stacey twist as Alfie vanishes
EastEnders' Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) disappears from Walford next week following a conversation with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner). As viewers of the BBC One soap know, Stacey, along with her children Arthur (Rocco Brenner) and Hope (Isabelle Smith) went to stay with their cousin Lynne (Elaine Lordan) last month. She'd had a traumatic week, having finally plucked up the courage to face the outside world following ex-husband Martin Fowler's (James Bye) death. Just as she felt brave enough, she faced a horrific setback as Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) accidentally washed her phone, containing precious photographs and voicemails. Arthur also confessed that he had access to Martin's phone – and that Stacey had been sending text messages implying that he was still alive. Fearing that she had stopped taking her bipolar medication, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) staged an intervention. When Stacey's eldest daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) announced her intention to visit her dad Ryan Malloy (Neil McDermott) in Wakefield, Stace' decided that she too should take some time away from Albert Square. Despite their absence, tensions have been running high in the Slater household. In the aftermath of Harvey Monroe's (Ross Boatman) affair with Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), he unknowingly signed on the dotted line to operate a limousine business with Kat. Love was clearly in the air, as Alfie then got down on one knee and proposed to Kat, with them deciding to get wed and use it as an opportunity to publicise the purchase of the vehicle. In upcoming scenes, Harvey's ex Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) is heartbroken to see the press coverage, which suggests that Kathy is 'Mrs Monroe.' She pours her heart out to Alfie, who is otherwise distracted by his phone. Jean then runs into Harvey, and attempts to sabotage his new venture until Alfie intervenes. He promises that he'll be there for her in the wake of her breakup, but it soon becomes clear that he's already got enough on his plate when Stacey calls him with another problem. Mark Strong, who stars in the second season of Nine Perfect Strangers, has opened up about his character David and his connection with Nicole Kidman's Masha. Nine Perfect Strangers star Mark Strong has dished some details about his experience working alongside Nicole Kidman in the hit series. Returning for a gripping second season with Nicole leading the cast, the suspenseful drama sees Mark playing the role of David, a wealthy dad on a transformative retreat with his son. The renowned Kingsman actor, 61, hinted Nicole helped get him onboard with the show, and teased their "intimate" storyline. While chatting on The One Show this evening (June 10), he hinted at a blossoming intimacy between their characters, quipping: "I'm sure she had to work out whether she wanted to get intimate with me. "The storyline that we have, without giving too much away, becomes quite intimate," he confessed. Host Alex Jones responded with "That's a huge compliment," to which Mark agreed. Now, Alfie's set to receive even more drama - in the form of Stacey Slater just weeks after Lacey Turner left the show for an extended break. This week, Kat and Alfie - although recently faced a bit of a setback. Yesterday, Kat was left devastated when Alfie rejected her physically, leading her to storm out the house. It came after Kat believed Alfie was watching X-Rated videos on his laptop. However, viewers are aware Joel told Tommy to use Alfie's credit card to access the video. Kat and Alfie are set to tie the knot this week, however, whether or not it goes ahead is being kept under wraps for now. Now, spoilers for next week reveal even more drama for Alfie. Just as he's been trying to stop Jean from sabotaging the limo business, he's left with another problem as he receives a call from Stacey. But what could she want? It comes weeks after Stacey left the soap to go and stay with Lynne Hobbs. Fans believed that would be the last we would hear of Stacey for a while, but with her ringing Alfie, could we be hearing more from the character? Stacey's exit came shortly after her daughter Lily left to stay with her father Ryan. However, it was believed actress Lillia Turner was taking a break to do her GCSE's - and is expected to return. Lacey recently confirmed her exit as she said it was time for "myself and Stacey to take a rest". At the time, Lacey told The Sun: "It's time for myself and Stacey to take a rest and who knows what Stacey will get up to in her time away? Knowing Stacey, it will never be boring." An EastEnders spokeswoman confirmed: "We can confirm that Lacey will be off-screen later this year, but there is plenty of more drama to come beforehand and we will look forward to planning Stacey's return when Lacey decides the time is right."
