Aamir Khan Reveals Why Gen Z Is Loving Saiyaara: ‘Har Group Ka Ek Taste Hota Hai'

Aamir Khan recently shared his thoughts on the box office success of Saiyaara, the romantic drama starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The film has struck a chord with Gen Z, and Aamir believes that's no surprise.
Speaking at an event for his own film Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir commented on Saiyaara's popularity with the youth. He said, 'I think different generations move towards different content based on what is the kind of content it is. I think younger audiences, for example, are loving Saiyaara, which is a big hit. Har ek group ka ek taste hota hai. As a creative person, main chahta hu ki main har kism ki film bana saku."
He further added, 'Gen Z ke liye bhi bana saku, younger generation k liye bhi bana saku, aur bhi logo ke liye bana saku, alag alag topics chunu. This gives me the freedom to do that."
Aamir Khan's remarks come just days after his production house celebrated Saiyaara's theatrical run with a congratulatory note. The statement read, 'Congratulations to the entire team of Saiyaara on its remarkable theatrical success! Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda shine in their debut with such grace and depth. Mohit Suri brings his signature intensity and passion to the film, and full credit to YRF for championing this melodious and heartfelt story."

The detailed schedule for the third round of allocations and admissions for undergraduate programmes under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for the academic year 2025-26 has been released by the University of Delhi. It can be seen that the preference reorder window and other options will be enabled today, on August 2, 5:00 PM, according to the release schedule. The third round includes processes for seat upgrades fresh allocations mid entry candidates and special categories such as CW, ECA, Sports and Ward Quota. Candidates who have already been admitted in either of the rounds 1 or 2 will have the option to opt for upgradation to a higher-preference programme-college combinations. This upgrade and reorder window will stay active from 5:00 PM on August 2 (Saturday) to 4:59 PM on August 3 (Sunday). The university has allowed a mid-entry window from 5 pm on August 8 (Friday) to 4:59 pm on August 10 (Sunday). This provision is meant for candidates who did not apply in CSAS (UG) 2025 Phase-I or failed to complete Phase-II or the candidates whose applications were rejected in earlier rounds due to incorrect subject mapping, ineligibility, or invalid documentation. Such candidates can enter the admission process by paying a non-refundable mid-entry fee of Rs 1,000. Provision for those who want to edit their form… They will also be able to edit their preferences and correct subject-mapping issues. Additionally, candidates who were not offered any seat in the previous rounds can also update their preferences during this window. All preferences submitted by the end of the mid-entry period (by 5 pm on August 10) will be used for subsequent seat allocations. The candidates must refer to the vacant seat matrix before finalizing their choices. When will the third round be declared? The third round of seat allocations will be declared on August 13 (Wednesday) at 5 pm, it will be based on data available up to August 10 at 5 pm. The university has also clarified that the allocation marks and ranks of Round III will not be linked to those of the previous rounds. Hence, no grievances regarding changes in allocation thresholds will be entertained. More updates on August 13… On the same day, we will also see the release of: Round I allocations for Performance-Based Programs such as Music, BFA, and Physical Education (PE, HE&S), Round I of CW (Children of War Widows), ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities), and Sports quotas, and Ward Quota allocations.
