EE slashes £150 off the price of the latest Samsung tablet
The May EE Tech Drop sees a £150 discount on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE
Over the past couple of years, EE has been repositioning itself as a one-stop shop for all your tech. Best known for its mobile phone network, the company offers broadband and TV, as well as selling all the latest tech through its stores, both online and off, as well as through its app.
The EE Tech Drop. This event sees heavy discounts on a particular item for a limited time as a first-come-first-serve offering. Think of it like a lightning deal, once a month from EE. The next Tech Drop is going to slash £150 off the price of the latest Samsung tablet, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE. That will see the £499 available for £349, which is a huge discount for such a new tablet.
EE says that the deal will only be available through the EE App, both for EE customers and those who aren't customers. It will take place on 20 May 2025. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE is also available from Samsung for £499 and Amazon at £499.
This is still a premium tablet, however, and is your budget won't stretch to the discounted Tab S10 FE, then take a look at the Galaxy Tab A9, which is half price on Amazon, it's £81.71, which is the cheapest it has ever been.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE is the 'fan edition' of the Tab S10, so it made a couple of sacrifices on the spec sheet to bring the price down. Importantly, however, the S10 FE is a 10.9-inch tablet, so it's the most compact of the family, making it more affordable and ideal for travel, as you can easily slip it into your bag.

Product Description
It keeps the premium aluminium build and is only 6mm thick. I've been testing the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and I've found it to be a really premium experience, great for watching movies, but the LCD display isn't as good as the OLED display you get on the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
There's a single camera on the back instead of the dual camera that Samsung's top tablets get, but that doesn't bother me, because I use my phone for photos rather than the tablet. There's a front-facing camera which is important for making video calls.
Although it does have slightly lower power, using the Exynos 1580 processor, rather than the flagship-grade processor in the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. It has an IP68 rating, so if you knock over your drink and flood your tablet then it will be just fine, while the battery will last for 20 hours – enough to keep you in movies when frying from the UK to Australia.

Buy now pay later provider Zilch to launch first physical card
Zilch, which offers buy now, pay later for brands such as Amazon and Iceland, is launching its first physical card as part of a new partnership with Visa. The fintech, which has been named one of the fastest-growing in the UK, said it means more of its customers can make payments in stores. Zilch currently offers a virtual card, stored in its app or in people's mobile wallets, which links to customers' debit cards and means they can pay for shopping flexibly. People can choose to pay in full, or spread payments over six weeks or three months, at retailers from Primark and Asos to Just Eat and eBay. While the virtual card can be used in shops as well as online, Zilch said that nearly 80% of UK adults do not regularly use mobile wallets so having a physical card will drive more transactions. It is also set to open up buy-now-pay-later options for bigger purchases like home repairs, hotel check-ins, and car rentals. The cards will become available to its existing customers from September. The London-based company has grown its customer base to more than five million since launching five year ago and securing authorisation from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority. It reached a valuation of two billion dollars (£1.5 billion) in 2021 and was named one of the UK's fastest-growing fintech unicorns this year. Buy now, pay later providers like Klarna and Clearpay have come under new standards since legislation was introduced last month. It came amid concerns that a lack of regulation has led some of the 10 million people who use it to take on too much debt.

Buy now pay later provider Zilch to launch physical card
Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) lets shoppers delay paying in full, instead breaking up costs over several weeks or months. Providers have come under new standards since legislation was introduced last month. Recommended reading: What is the issue with buy now pay later? But, there are issues with all buy now pay later products, so it pays to be careful, as Aaron Peake, Personal Finance Expert at CredAbility, warns: 'While BNPL can be interest-free, it isn't risk-free. "What's worrying is how quietly it can cause damage, with many people not realising it's real debt until it's too late. "A few small missed payments can knock your credit score or trigger late fees, and in some cases, debt collectors get involved straight away. "What's worse, this could block your chances of getting a mortgage or even a decent phone contract."

Samsung's latest wearable introduces Galaxy AI, designed to help you understand your body better and manage your energy levels. The Energy Score feature combines insights from your sleep, heart rate, and activity levels to suggest whether you should power through the gym or take it easy. Other standout features include: Personalised Sleep Coaching with detailed sleep scores, heart rate tracking during rest, and actionable tips. Advanced Fitness Tracking that allows you to tailor workouts, track aquatic activities using WaterLock Mode, and compete against your personal records. This model currently holds a 4.3 out of 5 stars rating from 266 reviews on Amazon, with many praising its features and value for money. If you're considering alternatives, the Apple Watch Series 10 (42mm) is available for £299 at Currys, offering seamless integration for Apple users. Meanwhile, the Google Fitbit Sense 2 offers up to 6 days battery life and health features like built-in GPS for £179 on Amazon. Both offer different experiences, but if it's the Galaxy Watch7 you're interested in, you're not alone, it's already won over buyers with its blend of smart features and sleek looks. When it comes to everyday use, many users have praised the Galaxy Watch7 for its functionality and elegant design. One customer highlighted its all-around value, saying: 'Value for money it's a no brainer especially if you find it on a discounted price… Just change the watchface and it suits any situation.' Samsung Galaxy Watch7 £289 £214 Amazon Shop Product Description They also noted it lasted around 2.2 days with features like sleep tracking and Always On Display enabled. However, not everyone has had the same smooth experience. Another user mentioned performance issues after a recent update, particularly during exercise tracking: 'It now freezes the time and all activity. You have to look at it for 5 to 10 s for it to start display again… I have contacted Samsung support… They say they treat each case individually.' On the other hand, integration with Samsung phones has been a highlight for many. A reviewer wrote: 'This is a great watch from Samsung… Works well with my Samsung Galaxy S21 phone, and interacts perfectly with the Samsung Health app. The battery is good under constant use, normally lasting around three days.' Yet, battery life was a sticking point for another user, who compared it unfavourably to much cheaper models: 'Just like my phone I have to charge this every single day. The battery life is so poor… How can a watch for £12 on Tiktok last for over a week yet a watch for over £200 isn't even lasting a day?' Still, others have found the watch to be a stylish and practical upgrade. As one person put it: 'This is a neat traditional watch replacement for those wanting smart watch function without looking silly… Media is good and payment tech works well… very impressed.' Still, for those deeply embedded in the Samsung ecosystem or looking for an Android-compatible smartwatch with robust features and AI support, the Galaxy Watch7 makes a compelling case.
