Munawar Faruqui is all set to step into the role of a host in JioHotstar's upcoming show, The Society. After winning Kangana Ranaut's Lock Upp Season 1 and Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 17, Munawar is gearing up to play the host in this upcoming series. Known for his witty remarks and engaging presence, Munawar's new venture has already created a significant buzz among his fans.
On Monday, July 7, JioHotstar took to their official Instagram handle to share a teaser of this upcoming show. The striking glimpse features a group of people walking towards the camera wearing coordinated red outfits. As they passed by, the camera zoomed in on Munawar's face, who is standing in front of four men who are dressed in tuxedos while their faces are covered in black masks.
Sharing the sneak peek, the streaming platform wrote, 'Game master @munawar.faruqui welcomes you to The Society! Zara bachke, yahan ke rules bhi inki tarah hatke hai." The striking visuals of The Society's first look transport the audience back into the world of Squid Game.

While the teaser of The Society sparked various resemblances to Squid Game, the makers have not yet officially announced The Society as an Indian version of Squid Game. The streaming platform has announced that the show will be available to stream for free. However, further details and the release date are still under wraps.
Soon after the teaser was dropped, Munawar's fans jumped to the comment section to show their excitement. One fan wrote, 'Game changer Munawar Faruqui." Another fan commented, 'Let's goo!! So excited." Someone else said, 'TRP king Munawar," while another stated, 'Kuch toofani aane waala hai."
The reality TV star has recently made his acting debut in Farhan P Zamma's First Copy, which is streaming on Amazon MX Player for free. This film explores piracy in Indian cinema during the 90s, where Munawar plays the role of Arif, the piracy kingpin. Alongside Munawar, the film features Gulshan Grover, Ashi Singh, Saquib Ayub, Meiyang Chang, Raza Murad, Inam Ul Haq and Krystle D'Souza in prominent roles.
