Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes involved in ugly scuffle with Iliman Ndiaye as team-mates rush in to separate them

BRUNO FERNANDES and Iliman Ndiaye came to blows in an ugly clash during Manchester United's 2-2 pre-season draw with Everton on Sunday night.
The Red Devils failed to win for the first time on their pre-season tour of the USA, and a lapse in concentration from captain Fernandes could be to blame for a sloppy equaliser.

Fernandes, 30, has been the rare shining light in United's miserable form of recent months but seemed to let his temper get the better of him during Sunday's match.
With United leading 2-1, the Portuguese playmaker was chasing Everton 's Ndiaye as the Toffees launched a counter attack when he appeared to kick out at the Senegal international as he skipped away from him.
Ndiaye was incensed by the lunging kick, which seemingly had no chance of nicking the ball away, and immediately turned to confront Fernandes.
Tempers began to flare from there with the pair trading shoves on the half-way line and attracting the interest of teammates who tried to pull them apart.
Mason Mount took the brunt of the anger as he stepped in to calm things down, seemingly been grabbed round the neck by Ndiaye.
The moment of madness from Fernandes and Ndiaye proved costly for United, as a lapse in concentration allowed Everton the opportunity to stream forward with five on five.
That attack had United's defence all over the place as Amad Diallo tackled Dwight McNeil inside the box only for his challenge to hit the ball against teammate Ayden Heaven and into the goal for a Heaven own goal.
There were muted celebrations from the Everton team as attention was quickly drawn to Fernandes and Ndiaye, who were still going at it on the half-way line.

The referee ultimately had to show both players a yellow card for their outburst.
It tarnished an otherwise impressive outing for the pair who had both found the net earlier in the game.
SunSport's chief reporter Martin Lipton's verdict on Man Utd's draw vs Everton... and it's worrying for Red Devils fans
Fernandes opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a calmly taken penalty after James Tarkowski brought down Amad in the area.
While Ndiaye was the Everton man to level the scores in the 39th minute when he tidily tucked home a delicious cross from Idrissa Gana Gueye at the back post.
Fernandes later set up Mason Mount's 69th minute goal for United, making a clever sideways pass into the box for Mount to spectacularly send curling into the far corner of Jordan Pickford 's net.
Fernandes was frustrated with his team's inability to hold on to their lead twice after the match, telling NBC Sports that United were "lazy".
He said: "It's not where we want it to be. It's every detail, every small detail matters.

'Our performance wasn't the best off the ball. We were a little bit lazy and we have to avoid that because the laziness you can pay at any moment. We need to change that.
'The situation is improving but we are not where this club needs to be.
'At this football club you can't do anything wrong on the pitch and off the pitch because it's too big worldwide and you get punished by that.
'The culture here was winning and we need to bring that back. Not only the winning mentality that we need, and I think that's always been there, but obviously if you don't win you don't show it.
'A lot of people have suffered from this, a lot of people who had been working at the club for many many years had to go.
'The fans are paying more for tickets and we appreciate all the effort they put in for us so now it's up to us to pay it back on the pitch.'

'How times change, eh?' - Adams goes from Colts and law degree to Premiership

Falkirk's Keeland Adams made his Scottish Premiership debut this weekend, completing a whirlwind journey from Cumbernauld played an important role in the opener and then assisted Ethan Ross for the Bairns' second on their top-flight return after 15 years."I think it was exciting, especially at the end, it was a bit end-to-end," the 23-year-old told BBC Scotland. "I think maybe the draw was deserved, maybe we had the edge. But I thought it was good. "That's part of my game, just trying to get up, create goals, then try and nip in with goals as well, but yeah, I'll go up and down that flank all day if I can."Falkirk signed Adams in early 2024 from Cumbernauld Colts, before finishing the 2023/24 season on loan at the also put a law degree on hold to continue playing football, a decision he says was the right one."It was a bit surreal," Adams said on making his top-flight debut just over a year after he played for the Colts."It didn't really hit me until probably this week on our day off."But yeah, just trying to take it in my stride and take game by game and just keep focusing on myself."100% right [to put degree on hold], how times change, eh?"

Raheem Sterling leads list of NINE Chelsea players banished from Blues' website as full 47-man squad revealed

RAHEEM STERLING heads a list of NINE Chelsea players who are out of the first-team picture - literally. The former England international, 30, and eight other stars do not even have a profile or photo in the first-team section of the Blues' official website. 4 4 The clock is ticking for Chelsea to find new homes for unwanted players after Sterling and others were joined on Monday by players returning after time off following the Club World Cup. The Blues have been on another big spending spree this summer, with £60million Joao Pedro among a number of signings that have swollen the current first-team squad to an incredible 47 players. Stamford Bridge chiefs are close to selling striker Armando Broja and midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu - two of the players who do not appear on the website - to Burnley. But in addition to Academy graduates Broja and Alfie Gilchrist, there are seven players including Ugochukwu who cost Chelsea a combined total of more than £200m who have no profile on the website - despite still officially being at the club. Even among the 31 players who ARE listed as first-teamers by Chelsea, there are big names like Christopher Nkunku who could yet find themselves leaving before the transfer window closes on September 1. Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk, who is facing a ban for failings a drugs test, DOES still have a profile pic - albeit wearing last season's kit. Add in the six players already sent out on loan, and the Blues have a huge number of players - and agents - to juggle. And that's before they make further signings, with both RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons and Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho still in their sights. Sterling, signed from Manchester City for £47.5m in 2022, and fellow former England star Ben Chilwell, a £50m arrival from Leicester in 2020, have been frozen out for more than a year. Sterling sealed an 11th-hour loan move to Arsenal last summer. Chilwell and Axel Disasi, a £38m signing from Monaco in 2023, spent the second half of the season on temporary deals at Crystal Palace and Aston Villa respectively. Midfielder Carney Chuwuemeka came from Villa in 2022 for an initial £15m and has returned to the training ground after spending six months at Borussia Dortmund. Likewise midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, a £23.5m signing from Strasbourg in 2023, is into his third week working at Cobham after coming back from a season-long stay at Southampton. Of the Chelsea players who went out on loan last season, Renato Veiga probably did the most to enhance his value, during a six-month spell at Juventus. But the Portugal international, whose proposed big money move to Atletico Madrid appears to have collapsed, did not do enough to earn a spot on the Blues' website. The same applies to forgotten Ivorian forward David Datro Fofana. 4 The £10.5m signing from Molde in January 2023 returned early from a loan at Turkish club Goztepe last season after suffering a significant injury. DDF has been back training for a while but is another player on his way out at Chelsea. Club bosses have plenty to do to make sure Maresca has a squad of a manageable size. Former Blues boss Graham Potter revealed he had so many players at one point that some of them had to sit on the floor for team meetings.

Everton push again for Dibling with £40m offer and target Chelsea's Dewsbury-Hall

Everton have raised their bid for Tyler Dibling to about £40m and opened talks with Chelsea over signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as they attempt to ease David Moyes's transfer frustrations. Southampton have rejected two offers from Everton for the 19-year-old Dibling in recent days, of £27m and £35m, but the Merseyside club have returned with a third package worth iabout £40m including add-ons. The England Under-21 international, who is believed to be open to joining Everton, has two years on his contract and Southampton value him at more than £40m. Moyes has missed out on several wide options this summer, including Francisco Conceição, who joined Juventus from Porto, and RB Leipzig's recent signing from PSV, Johan Bakayoko. Everton also have interest in Lyon's Malick Fofana but the 20-year-old would prefer to join a club offering Champions League football. The Everton manager also wants to strengthen in central midfield and Dewsbury-Hall is a longstanding target. The 26-year-old started only two Premier League games last season after his £30m arrival from Leicester and was deployed more often in Chelsea's Conference League campaign. Everton have opened talks over a permanent deal, with Chelsea looking to recoup their outlay. Everton have completed four signings this summer – Carlos Alcaraz, the striker Thierno Barry, goalkeeper Mark Travers and young left back Adam Aznou – but 11 players have left, including nine members of last season's first-team squad.
