The Twins classily helped the Phillies recreate Jhoan Duran's electric entrance
It turned out than the Twins sent more than just Duran over the Philadelphia, and the fans at Citizens Bank Park had to be thankful for that.
Duran, of course, has one of the coolest introductions in baseball, and that's largely due to the hard work that the Twins' game production staff put in for Duran. The introduction starts with The Undertaker's bell, and then it goes into a special remix of 'El Incomprendido' by Farruko and 'Hot' by Pitbull and Daddy Yankee. Target Field's LED lighting and videoboards were all synced up to enhance that intro.
Yet, when Duran left the Phillies bullpen for the first time at Citizens Bank Park on Friday night, he was greeted to that familiar intro presentation. It was because the Twins wanted to do right by Duran and baseball fans.
According to a report from The Athletic, Twins vice president of communications Dustin Morse sent over all the digital assets to the Phillies for Duran's entrance presentation. The Phillies' production team then had 36 hours to recreate it for Citizens Bank Park.

His trademark entrance was too good to leave behind, Duran said. Morse agreed. He took the idea to top officials in the Twins organization.
'We collectively thought,' Morse said, ''This is for the greater good of baseball fans.' This is a fun atmosphere. All baseball fans should get to see it and experience it. We all know that the atmosphere at Citizens Bank is already nuts. This would go over well.'
And it absolutely turned out great. It was awesome to hear about teams working together on those little details even after a trade.
Baseball is better off to have that entrance go to Philly with Duran. Good on the Twins for knowing that.
