Shoppers rave about ‘absolutely banging' new Reese's product spotted on shelves at Tesco

The Sun05-05-2025

SHOPPERS have been raving about a brand new Reese's chocolate dessert that's landed on Tesco shelves.
The Reese's Mix-Ins Peanut Butter Chip & White Chocolate Dessert appears to be exclusive to the major supermarket and comes in at £3.50 for a 330g tub.
Tesco Clubcard holders can get it cheaper at £2.50.
A description on Tesco's website says it's a "white chocolate creamy dessert with Reese's signature peanut butter chips".
It adds: "The signature Reese's peanut flavour you know and love hits the dessert world!"
A label on the tub says it's "made for sharing" - that is, if you don't want to keep it all to yourself.
Shoppers shared the new food find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, with one commenter saying: "These are absolutely banging."
However they complained that the pot was only three-quarters full, saying: "Even for £2.50 on offer I want a full pot!"
This is just the latest wacky product that Tesco has teamed up with other major brands on.
It also recently launched a range of mac and cheese flavours with crisp giant Wotsits.
The dinnertime staple comes in the flavours Really Cheesy, Sweet & Spicy, and Extra Flamin' Hot.
They cost £4 for a 400g pack, or £3.50 for Clubcard holders.
Shoppers beg Cadbury's to bring back 2005 recipe on iconic bar - as they moan current one 'tastes like candle wax'
Some social media users complained about the pricing, with one saying "£4 seems a bit much" and "these should be no more than £2".
Tesco has also brought out a series of new products with condiment brand Marmite, including a Cheese & Marmite Potato Gratin.
The range also includes Marmite Roast Potatoes and Marmite Potato Wedges.
If you're more of a Reese's fan, you can get a range of wacky chocolate items too.
For example, you can try out the Reese's Peanut Butter & Milk Chocolate Ice Cream for £5.50 at Tesco.
Also new on shelves are the Reese's Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate Dipped Peanuts, which are selling for £1.85.
How to save money on chocolate
We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs...
Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars.
Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

One user posted: "Cineworld £4 club card tickets work with Meerkat Movies! "Me and my daughter get to watch the new Stitch film for just £1 tomorrow." This is because of a new Tesco Clubcard deal giving shoppers the chance to bag cheap cinema tickets. For just £4 — or £2 in Tesco Clubcard vouchers — movie fans can treat themselves thanks to a new partnership between Tesco and Cineworld. The user then used £2 worth of Clubcard points as they double up for reward partners. And what's more, this savvy shopper used the Clubcard deal alongside the Meerkat Movies 2-for-1 deal from Compare the Market meaning they only had to pay £1. Another user left a comment under the find, saying: "I also watched stitch with my daughter for £1! "I converted £3.50 in Clubcard points which gave me £7 to spend on Cineworld. "Then purchased two of the £4 Clubcard tickets and paid the extra £1!" The Clubcard deal allows movie fans to buy up to four discounted tickets, making it cheap to enjoy the movies with family and friends. But film fans should be quick as the Clubcard deal ends on Sunday June 8. The discounts don't stop there either — Cineworld is also offering Clubcard holders a special £6 deal for a medium drink and popcorn, with the option to upgrade to a large for just £1 more. Tesco shoppers keen to grab the bargain cinema tickets must exchange a minimum of 50p in Clubcard vouchers through the app or website. Once completed members should head to the Cineworld site and buy tickets "not covered by their Clubcard Vouchers". To snap up the special drink and popcorn deal, movie-goers will need to show their Clubcard at the food counter. 3 Take a look below to see how you can get more from your Clubcard Credit: Alamy How to get more from your Clubcard The immensely popular Clubcard loyalty scheme is a simple way to slash the price of groceries. For every £1 spent customers earn a point. Each pound is worth a penny, so if you collect 150 points you earn a £1.50 voucher. It doesn't sound like much but it adds up over time. But the real value comes when you use your vouchers with Tesco's Reward Partners, where the value can often double, meaning your £1.50 could be worth £3 depending on where you use it. You can rack up extra points by shopping with Tesco's partnered brands too. TOP TESCO BUYS Vauxhall, Evri, and OVO Energy are just a few examples. Customers who purchase a new Vauxhall car can earn a whopping 50,000 Clubcard points, while shoppers spending with Evri can earn one point for every £1 spent. The full list of partners is available on Tesco's website, so it's worth having a look to see where you can get more bang for your buck. Once you convert your Clubcard vouchers into codes for use with a Reward Partner, those codes are valid for six months, so make sure to use them in time. Signing up for Clubcard is easy; you can register through the Tesco app, available on the Apple App Store or Google Play, or by heading to and ordering one directly. For regular Tesco shoppers, upgrading to Clubcard Plus might be worth considering. It costs £7.99 a month but gives you 10% off two in-store shops of your choice each month. If your shop is £40 or more, the discount pays for itself — and you'll even save a bit more. You're not locked in either; the subscription can be paused or cancelled at any time if you're away or not planning to spend as much. Another simple way to build your points faster is by opting into Tesco's marketing emails. While your inbox might get busier, these emails often include exclusive offers and bonus point deals tailored to your shopping habits and they can be a quick win when it comes to boosting your balance. As mentioned above, it's important to keep an eye on voucher expiry dates as the vouchers expire two years after being issued. But there's a handy trick that not everyone knows, if a voucher is about to expire, just spend a small amount of it and the remaining balance will be reissued with a fresh two-year expiry. So if you've got a £10 voucher and use just 50p, the other £9.50 gets renewed. Finally, if you fancy earning a few extra points from the comfort of your home, you can sign up for Shopper Thoughts, a survey site that rewards you with Clubcard points for sharing your opinions. It's a quick and easy way to bag 150 points just by filling in a few questions. With a few simple tricks and a bit of attention, Tesco Clubcard can be a handy tool to save cash or unlock bigger rewards, just don't forget to use your vouchers before they expire.

Insider tip from a Tesco employee A Tesco employee has revealed a surprising secret about the self-scan trolleys. According to the worker, random checks on customers using these trolleys are not entirely random. The checks are actually triggered by a specific customer habit. If you frequently pick up and put down items without scanning them, you're more likely to be selected for a check. This is due to the system detecting suspicious behaviour, which could indicate potential theft. So, to avoid delays, it's best to scan items immediately after placing them in your trolley.

Arrgh you joking? Tesco pensioner stuns shoppers by bringing his pet PARROT with him to buy groceries

On a balance of probabilities, parrots are more likely to be spotted walking the plank than walking down the ready meals aisle of a major supermarket. But that was exactly the scene that greeted one customer, who was left stunned after spotting a pensioner with a colourful parrot perched upon his shoulder in his local Tesco. Named Bella, the 12-year-old exotic bird prompted the stunned man to capture his unusual encounter on video. Posting the footage to X, the astonished man can't help but exclaim, 'That is something unbelievable. Oh my God,' as he spots the red-and-green macaw. 'See the parrot, man, in Tesco,' he continues. After approaching the otherwise unperturbed owner, the man says: 'How are we uncle, you OK? Lovely parrot, man. How old is it?' After being told the bird is aged 12, the curious bystander asks whether the bird speaks. 'She does when she wants,' replies her owner. Man brings his parrot along with him on his Tesco shop 🦜🛒 (TikTok: mr_w1cked1) — UB1UB2 West London (Southall) (@UB1UB2) June 6, 2025 He went on to add that she could fly off 'if she wants to', but remained firmly on the man's shoulder as he casually walked down each aisle to pick up his groceries. 'That is good man, you've trained her well,' the surprised customer told the bird owner, before bidding him farewell. Green-winged macaws are the second largest parrots next to the hyacinth macaw and can reach flight speeds of up to 35mph. They have a very powerful beak which can generate a pressure of 2000 psi (pounds per square inch) and have the ability to crack open incredibly hard-shelled nuts, such as Brazil nuts with ease. Parrots mainly eat seeds, fruits, blossoms, buds, leaves, berries, nuts and sometimes bark - and do indeed enjoy the occasional cracker as well.
