Shoppers rave about ‘absolutely banging' new Reese's product spotted on shelves at Tesco
SHOPPERS have been raving about a brand new Reese's chocolate dessert that's landed on Tesco shelves. The Reese's Mix-Ins Peanut Butter Chip & White Chocolate Dessert appears to be exclusive to the major supermarket and comes in at £3.50 for a 330g tub. Tesco Clubcard holders can get it cheaper at £2.50. A description on Tesco's website says it's a "white chocolate creamy dessert with Reese's signature peanut butter chips". It adds: "The signature Reese's peanut flavour you know and love hits the dessert world!" A label on the tub says it's "made for sharing" - that is, if you don't want to keep it all to yourself. Shoppers shared the new food find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, with one commenter saying: "These are absolutely banging." However they complained that the pot was only three-quarters full, saying: "Even for £2.50 on offer I want a full pot!" This is just the latest wacky product that Tesco has teamed up with other major brands on. It also recently launched a range of mac and cheese flavours with crisp giant Wotsits. The dinnertime staple comes in the flavours Really Cheesy, Sweet & Spicy, and Extra Flamin' Hot. They cost £4 for a 400g pack, or £3.50 for Clubcard holders. Shoppers beg Cadbury's to bring back 2005 recipe on iconic bar - as they moan current one 'tastes like candle wax' Some social media users complained about the pricing, with one saying "£4 seems a bit much" and "these should be no more than £2". Tesco has also brought out a series of new products with condiment brand Marmite, including a Cheese & Marmite Potato Gratin. The range also includes Marmite Roast Potatoes and Marmite Potato Wedges. If you're more of a Reese's fan, you can get a range of wacky chocolate items too. For example, you can try out the Reese's Peanut Butter & Milk Chocolate Ice Cream for £5.50 at Tesco. Also new on shelves are the Reese's Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate Dipped Peanuts, which are selling for £1.85. How to save money on chocolate We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar. Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs... Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars. Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere. Websites like let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal. Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced. They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged. Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar. So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
