PATH to offer 50% fare reductions for riders with disabilities
NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — PATH riders with disabilities will be able to apply for 50 percent fare reductions for single one-way fares starting June 16.
Commuters can either apply in person or mail in an application.

PATH riders can either apply at a PATH station or at PATH's reduced fare application center on the Journal Square Transportation Center's mid-level concourse next to Duane Reader.
Applicants need to bring a valid government-issued identification and one of the following accepted forms of listed documentation:
SSI/SSDI award letter from the Social Security Administration,
A disabled veteran award letter that specifies a disability of 50 percent or higher,
A DMV-issued disabled placard receipt
A registry card from the rider's state commission for the blind or visually impaired
A Medicare card
A physician-signed disability certification
Application forms will be available on site.

Complete the form and have it notarized
Mail in the notarized document, a passport-sized color photo, a copy of a valid government-issued identification, and one accepted form of documentation of their eligible disability to the mailing address: PATH Reduced Fare Program, One PATH Plaza 1st Floor, Jersey City, New Jersey 07306

Protesters in NYC rally against the Trump administration's travel ban
LOWER MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Protesters and activists took to Foley Square to push back on the Trump administration's travel ban, now in effect. They tied last week's terror attack in Colorado to the ban, saying it's necessary to preserve national security and prevent terrorism. More Local News The ban specifically bars entry from Haiti, Libya, Chad, Sudan, Eritrea, Yemen, Somalia, Iran, Afghanistan, and Equatorial Guinea. It further restricts travel from Cuba, Venezuela, Sierra Leone, Burundi, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Laos. Protestors say the ban unfairly targets Black and brown people and will separate families from loved ones. 350,000 New Yorkers were born in countries targeted by the ban. TSA tells Americans their Costco cards won't fly at airport security despite love for hot dogs
The Transportation Security Administration clarified this week that a Costco membership card is not sufficient to present at airport security. "We love hotdogs & rotisserie chickens as much as the next person but please stop telling people their Costco card counts as a REAL ID because it absolutely does not," the TSA wrote on Facebook Wednesday.
