The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus washes up in a zombie-filled Spain in the first Daryl Dixon season 3 trailer, and it's all a bit Resident Evil 4
Daryl and Carol are back. The first full trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 has been unveiled at the show's Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, and the new Spanish setting is giving serious Resident Evil 4 vibes.
In the trailer, which you can watch above, Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) are still en route home, and escape apocalyptic London via boat thanks to Stephen Merchant's 'last Englishman in England', only to wash ashore in Solaz del Mar, Spain, after a storm. Not all is well in the Spanish town, though, with the locals offering up their daughters for trucks full of guns – a barbaric practice that globetrotting righter-of-wrongs Daryl Dixon is perfectly placed to put a stop to.
OK, so there's no Dr. Salvador revving up a chainsaw, but there's more than a bit of Leon S. Kennedy's American outsider rolling up on an undead-infested rural Spanish town and taking on its self-appointed 'King' to Daryl Dixon's latest conflict.
At the same Hall H panel, cast members Reedus and McBride, alongside producer Scott M. Gimple, and showrunner David Zabel, also announced that the show has been renewed for a fourth and final season, with production set to kick off in Spain later this month.
It's been a busy few weeks for Walking Dead news. Earlier this month, Negan and Maggie-centric spin-off The Walking Dead: Dead City was renewed for a third season. Meanwhile, an unscripted horror series called Guts & Glory, from Walking Dead effects wizard Greg Nicotero, where contestants try to survive an 'immersive horror experience full of unexpected challenges,' was also announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2025.

GenZ Has a New Weird Habit...
GenZ has a habit that's really annoying employers! I'm Tomi Lahren, more next. First it was 'quiet quitting,' then the awkward blank 'GenZ stare, and now this.. GenZers are trying out a new phone behavior and their older co-workers and employers are quite annoyed by it… Instead of answering a phone call with the typical and standard 'hello,' many in that generation just breathe into the phone and wait for the caller to say something first. Older co-workers and employers are fed up, as they should be. It's rude, it's weird, it's unprofessional and SO AWKWARD! And this isn't just anecdotal, a YouGov poll taken in the UK last year found that one in four Brits between 18 and 24-years-old think it is ok to answer a phone call without any form of greeting whatsoever. Only 27% of Millennials in that same survey feel it's acceptable to 'phone ghost.' My generation is a bit more socially adjusted, it seems! Now in their defense, GenZers who practice this weird phone faux pas say they do it to filter out robo and spam callers. I think this is a lame excuse. More accurately, Zoomers seem to find it more difficult to interact with others if not through text or a computer screen. Either way, they better get used to it! Rupert Everett says he was dumped from ‘Emily in Paris': ‘For me, it was a tragedy'
Rupert Everett didn't have a huge role on 'Emily in Paris,' but now he no longer has any part whatsoever. The actor who played interior design firm director Giorgio Barbieri on one episode of the hit Netflix series shared while speaking at Marateale, the international film festival held annually in Maratea, Italy, that he has been let go from the show, according to Vanity Fair this week. 'I was fired. I did a scene in the latest season, and they told me, 'Next year we'll speak,'' he reportedly said. 'I waited for them to call me – but ultimately, it never came, and they just fired me.' Everett went on to say that 'show business is always very difficult, from the beginning to the end. When they write the screenplay, they think they want you – but then things change, and they lose your character. I don't know why.' 'For me, it was a tragedy,' he added. 'I was in bed for two weeks because I couldn't get over it.' CNN has reached out to reps for both Everett and Netflix for comment. Not that the popular actor, who was at the festival in part to receive its Basilicata International Award, is without work. IMDb lists Everett as having multiple upcoming projects, including a comedy titled 'The Liar' opposite Jeff Goldblum, and fans are hopeful that he will reprise his beloved role of Julia Roberts' bestie George Downes in the reported planned sequel to the hit 1997 film 'My Best Friend's Wedding.'
