The giant figure of Victor Eriksson must have impressed as he nodded in the goal in the final minute of extra time which took the Swedes into the next round.
But Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the Hoops, who are set to add Jahmai Simpson-Pusey to an already crowded defensive department, are NOT looking for another central defender right now.
Asked if Simpson-Pusey would be the last central defender to arrive, Rodgers told reporters: 'There are lots of links with various players, but yeah, I would see him being our last central defender.'
For the record, Hammarby are insistent he isn't for sale any way this summer and the player himself said last night that he wasn't going anywhere.
But Eriksson wasn't the only player of interest in last night's Conference League clash in Belgium - with at least three other stars taking part who are highly prized across Europe.
Here SunSport runs them under the microscope:
Jusef Erabi (Hammarby)
Age: 22
Position: Striker
Nationality: Swedish
Swedish players are back in fashion at Celtic these days.
It's a club where Henrik Larsson wrote himself into folklore and the likes of Johan Mjallby, Mikael Lustig, Magnus Hedman and Daniel Majstorovic served with distinction.

The Hoops have already added one Swedish international this summer in the form of Benjamin Nygren (even if Gustav Lagerbielke went in the other direction) and Sweden Under-21 star Jusef Erabi is another who could fit the bill.
The powerful 6ft forward - called the 'Swedish Hulk' for his likeness to the Brazilian forward - was mentioned in connection with the Hoops back in January.
He has also been linked with Serie A side Hellas Verona and French cracks Lens with a fee in the region of £4m and he was on target with the opening goal for the Swedes last night.

Nikola Stulic (Charleroi)
Age: 23
Position: Striker
Nationality: Serbian

A product of the Partizan Belgrade youth academy, the brawny Stulic stands 6ft2in tall. He been linked with a move to Lecce.
With only a year left on his current deal, he could be snapped up as a bargain buy for less than £1m.
Parfait Guaiagon (Charleroi)
Age: 24
Position: No 10/winger
Nationality: Ivory Coast
The diminutive Ivory Coast star - he's only 5ft 7in - is an eye-catching little dribbler who can play wide or in the No 10 role.

He's under contract until the summer of 2026, with the club having an option for a further year.
Guaiagon was linked with Rangers back in 2023 when coming through the ranks at Maccabi Tel Aviv.
He's represented by Dudu Dahan, who brought the likes of Nir Bitton, Beram Kayal and Liel Abada to the Hoops.

Every deal Celtic can get done with clock ticking on Champions League transfer deadline
Jamie Vardy has issued a come-and-get-me-plea while two wingers remain top of Brendan Rodgers' wish list It's D-Day for Celtic as Brendan Rodgers looks to add at least one new face to his squad in time for the Champions League playoff. The Hoops have until 11pm on Tuesday night to make two additions to their 25-man squad ahead of Wednesday's first leg blockbuster against Kairat Almaty. Despite being frustrated at the lack of business being done, Rodgers has reiterated his hope that his frontline can be bolstered before the looming deadline - with wingers and a main striker on the shopping list. Vardy, 38, is being chased by several sides with Napoli, West Ham and big-spending Championship new boys Wrexham interested. However, sources suggest the ex-England star - who has been without a club since leaving the Foxes at the end of last season - has set his heart on a stunning switch to Parkhead. Vardy has been keeping himself fit with a personal trainer and is determined to continue playing at the highest level until he's 40. David Strelec is on the radar too and his father believes Slovan Bratislava's elimination from the Champions League could see the Hoops reignite their interest in the hitman, after seeing a January bid thrown out. Milan Strelec said: "When Slovan were trying to win through to the main stages of the Champions League again, the club's management would not consider David's transfer. "Or at least it was not high on their agenda. But now I presume things will start to happen before the August deadline. "Things will start heating up around David again. As far as I know, several clubs are still interested, including Celtic and Middlesbrough and we know both had bids for him in the past. So I am curious what will happen in the remaining few days before the deadline." However, it's believed an agreement is unlikely unless there is a significant drop in the £9million asking price from the Slovakians. Celts have also been alerted to the availability of Feyenoord winger Calvin Stengs. The Netherlands international, 26, has fallen out of favour after an injury-hit couple of seasons and is tipped for an exit in the next fortnight. The door has not yet been shut on long-term target Michel-Ange Balikwisha, and it's understood negotiations with Royal Antwerp are ongoing. Parkhead chiefs remain optimistic that a deal can be struck for the £4.5million-rated winger, who is out of contract next summer. Cluj goal machine Louis Munteanu is among a list of targets, with reports suggesting Celts had a £6.9m bid rejected for the Romania striker earlier in the window. The 23-year-old is currently embroiled in an ongoing pay dispute with his club and was nowhere to be seen in last week's Europa League defeat to Braga. Celtic are overloaded with midfield options but Andy Irving's name refuses to go away, with West Ham willing to do business for a modest £3.5m. The ex-Hearts star, 25, is believed to be drawing interest from Rangers too and looks poised to quit the Hammers in search of more minutes. However, with Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, Ben Nygren, Arne Engels, Luke McCowan and Paulo Bernardo all battling it out for starts, another central midfielder isn't a priority. A deputy left-back for Kieran Tierney is on the agenda, though, and versatile Cagliari defender Adam Obert could fit the bill. The Slovakian international - who can also play centre-back and left mid - is said to be attracting interest from Celtic and in Germany, but would cost around £6m.

Arsenal's final transfer priority would 'solve problems' as target is singled out
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo this summer, and Micah Richards believes the Gunners still need to sign a left winger before the transfer window shuts Micah Richards believes Arsenal's top transfer target should be a left winger, and Real Madrid's Rodrygo has been singled out as their problem solver. The north Londoners launched their 2025/26 Premier League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United, as Riccardo Calafiori's first-half header proved decisive at Old Trafford. Mikel Arteta showcased his improved squad depth by bringing on Noni Madueke, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Mikel Merino and Jurrien Timber during the second half. Yet Richards insists the Gunners can still strengthen their team further before the transfer window closes. Speaking on the Rest is Football podcast about what Arsenal currently lack, he said: "You know what's really good about Arsenal now, I still think they're a left winger short or left forward short. "But if you look at Arsenal's bench today, you know Ben White started with Calafiori, and Lewis-Skelly last season was outstanding and Timber – he [Arteta] can change the full-backs now and not affect the team. The quality doesn't go down, so that would help him as long as everyone stays fit throughout the season. "Merino, the impact he had, Madueke come on – although I prefer Madueke on the right hand side rather than the left." Discussing the limitations on the left and how Real Madrid's talented Brazilian can provide a solution, Richards continued: "I just look at that position on the left hand side and think if they could sort that. When they were linked with Rodrygo, that could solve a lot of problems for them. "But yeah, nevertheless, it's a massive win away from home, and it just gives you the momentum that you need for the start of the season." Rodrygo has been consistently linked with the Gunners throughout the summer transfer window, following his reduced role at Madrid during the FIFA Club World Cup. New manager Xabi Alonso gave the 24-year-old just one start during the tournament, whilst previous boss Carlo Ancelotti also failed to make the forward a priority starter in the last campaign. With Tottenham Hotspur appearing to edge closer to securing Arsenal's other attacking target, Eberechi Eze, Rodrygo remains the most frequently mentioned alternative. But despite the north London club being amongst numerous Premier League sides keen on the young Brazilian, Alonso has said he is "counting on everyone" this season at Madrid. Currently, Rodrygo is among six forwards that the Madrid manager has selected in his squad to face Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday evening – though this doesn't ensure a starting position. Should the 24-year-old be considering a potential exit from the Spanish champions for more consistent first-team opportunities, then Arteta might be the perfect figure to lure him to the Premier League this campaign. Madrid have reportedly valued Rodrygo at a hefty £86million (€100m) and are said to be open to letting the player leave if he wishes to. With the transfer window not closing until September 1, Arsenal still have time to negotiate and find their ideal star man on the left, whether that's Rodrygo or another player. In the meantime, they could also offload additional fringe players, such as Fabio Vieira, to increase their budget and free up space in the squad. Arsenal have already bolstered their attacking line this season with the signings of Viktor Gyokeres and Madueke. However, Richards is adamant that if Arsenal wants a shot at Premier League glory, they'll need to either sign someone like Rodrygo or identify another left-sided forward to aid their new campaign. Co-host Gary Lineker feels that Arsenal will get another shot at title glory if they continue in their current form, without losing any players through injury. Following Richards' call for a left attacker, Lineker said: "Yeah if Gyokeres does hit it off, they [have a chance]. "That's added to the fact that they now look like they've got a bit more strength in depth, and if they can avoid perhaps one or two of the big injuries they had last season – most notably Odegaard and Saka, and then Havertz towards the end of the season – then you know, they'll have a real chance." The Gunners are set to host newly-promoted Leeds United in their first home match of the 2025/26 season at the Emirates Stadium, with kick-off at 5.30pm on Saturday.
