What Makes Curd Rice Bites A Must-Try?
Curd rice bites offer an interesting twist to regular curd rice. They are irresistibly crispy and packed with flavour, making them great for evening snacking. They are also a great way to make use of your leftover curd rice. Ready in under a few minutes, they are sure to leave you drooling from the first bite.
How To Ensure Curd Rice Bites Turn Out Crispy In Texture?
To achieve a perfectly crispy texture, ensure to fry the curd rice bites in batches. Avoid overcrowding the kadhi and cook them on a low-medium flame. Once cooked, transfer them to a plate lined with tissue paper to drain excess oil, or else they'll become soggy quickly.
Are Curd Rice Bites Healthy?
In this recipe, the curd rice bites are deep-fried, making them not-so-healthy. However, you can make them healthier by either baking or pan-frying them. This would help reduce their calorie count significantly and transform them into a guilt-free snack.

Can You Use Regular Bread Crumbs Instead Of Panko Bread Crumbs?
While the recipe calls for using panko bread crumbs (Japanese bread crumbs), don't hesitate to use regular bread crumbs. There will be no major impact on the final result, the only difference you might notice is that the bites would be less crispy in texture.

29-Year-Old Woman With 'Healthiest Diet' Shocked By Stage 4 Cancer Diagnosis: "A Result Of Stress, Burnout"

A 29-year-old woman, who strictly followed a clean eating regimen, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. In an Instagram post on July 30, Monika Choudhary shared her story and highlighted the factors she believes may have contributed to her diagnosis, serving as a wake-up call for many who think a healthy diet alone can prevent serious health issues. Ms Choudhary revealed how the demands of her job secretly impacted her well-being despite her healthy habits. She attributed her decline to long hours, excessive screen time, constant deadlines, and stress, which gradually affected her mental and physical health. "I've always been a focused person, especially when it comes to my health. I used to eat healthy and take good care of my diet. I never liked fried or oily food. When I started working on my website, I didn't realise how demanding and all-consuming it would become," she wrote in a lengthy Instagram post See the video here: View this post on Instagram A post shared by CancerToCourage (@cancertocourage) She further described how her sedentary lifestyle became the norm, with minimal physical activity and rare outdoor excursions, marking a departure from her earlier routine. "This was a huge shift from the lifestyle I had before — I used to be extremely active. Evening runs were a part of my everyday routine. They were my escape, my therapy. As I got more immersed in work, I kept pushing my health to the side. I told myself I'd get back to it "soon"— but that "soon" never came," she added. As her work demands intensified, she consistently prioritised her job over her health, repeatedly delaying her self-care routines to resume them later. She then noted that her body began sending warning signals, such as fatigue, uneasiness, and discomfort. However, she attributed these symptoms to work pressure or lack of sleep, ignoring the potential underlying issues. Ms Choudhary's life took a shocking turn with her diagnosis of stage 4 colorectal cancer, a shocking moment that changed everything. Reflecting on her experience, she now understands that her condition wasn't just a matter of bad luck. Instead, she attributes it to the cumulative effects of stress, burnout, and prolonged physical neglect. "Then came the diagnosis: Stage-4 colorectal cancer. A shocking moment that changed everything. Looking back now, I realise this wasn't just about bad luck. It was a result of stress, burnout, and complete physical neglect over time. I learned, in the hardest way possible, that no ambition is worth compromising your health. Our body always keeps the score, and it eventually demands attention, one way or another," she concluded her post.

Mouth breathing When you breathe through your mouth subconsciously, it puts constant pressure on your jaw because your tongue rests on the floor of your mouth instead of the roof (which happens during nose breathing). This can create a wider, broader look and distort your usual facial anatomy. Non-veg foods to eat: Grilled chicken breast (at least 250-300 grams for satiety) Eggs (preferably whites, but half yolks are acceptable) Salmon or tuna (rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help with skin turgidity and overall skin health, making skin tighter) Avoid meats in curries, as they might contain high sodium and oil content. Prefer grilled meats during your transformation period. Vegetarian foods to eat: Substitute refined maida or regular wheat with grains like quinoa, buckwheat, jawar, and millets. Cut out dairy completely Incorporate high-fibre foods like spinach, kale, beetroot, berries, and apples; these keep you fuller for longer and help avoid unnecessary snacking. Include lean proteins such as low-fat paneer, tofu, moong dal, seitan, and boiled chickpeas. Load up on salads and use light, healthy salad dressings. Avoid artificial sugar for at least 3 months! Hard foods to eat: Foods that are harder to chew and take longer to eat: Raw cucumber Raw carrots Raw coconut Raw celery Corn on the cob Nuts: almonds, pistachios, walnuts Sugar-free chewing gum (in moderation; can sometimes help) Detox juice recipe: One slice of petha (winter squash) 1 tsp turmeric (haldi) Juice of half a cucumber One twig of meetha neem (curry leaves) Note: This juice is a 'superfood' add-on to an already consistent, clean diet combined with regular exercise, which should include moderate cardio and at least occasional weight or resistance training.
