Biggest skincare trends for 2025
Face The Future's Head of Clinic, Kimberley Medd, shared the five skincare trends predicted to take off in 2025.
1. Exosomes
Exosomes are the buzzword for 2025, taking advanced skin regeneration to new heights. These micro-messengers signal skin cells to repair damage, boost collagen, and accelerate recovery, and they're a gamechanger for targeting ageing.
2. Streamlined Skincare
The age of 12-step routines is fading as consumers shift to more intentional, multi-functional products. Streamlining skincare not only saves time but also reduces the risk of overloading your skin. In 2025, we'll see a rise in hybrid products that combine active ingredients for simplified, effective results.
3. Vegan Collagen
Plant-based collagen will dominate the skincare world this year, providing a sustainable, ethical alternative to traditional animal-derived collagen. Expect vegan collagen in everything from moisturisers to serums.
4. The Rise Of AI
AI is revolutionising the beauty landscape, making it possible for consumers to get truly personalised skincare solutions. In 2025, we predict a dramatic shift towards AI-powered tools that help people understand their skin on a deeper level.
5. Hair Loss Solutions -
Hair loss is an issue that affects more men than we often realise, and it's no longer just something we're talking about behind closed doors. This year, expect to see a continued rise in demand for treatments that not only tackle hair loss but also nurture overall scalp health.
L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler
L'Oreal Paris' Revitalift Filler 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum has been reduced from £31.99 to £10, saving shoppers £21.99.
The anti-wrinkle serum contains 1.5% hyaluronic acid, to intensely hydrate the skin, and replump wrinkles from within.

Hair straighteners that give ‘beautiful shine' slashed from £70 to £22 – and shoppers say they hold up against GHD

B0OTS shoppers have been racing to pick up a pair of hair straighteners that have been slashed from £70 to £22. The impressive £48 saving is part of the retailer's summer sale, that's seeing price drops by up to 50% for a limited time. Remington Shea Soft Hair Straightener, £21.99 (was £69.99) BUY HERE The huge discount means shoppers can get the popular styler for better than half-price. Boots has slashed prices off everything from skincare to make-up in its summer sale, which is running for a limited time. The Remington Shea Soft Straightener features ceramic plates coated with Shea oil, designed to add shine and leave the hair feeling silky smooth. It has five temperature settings ranging from 150°c to 230°c, with an ultra-fast heat-up time of 15 seconds. The beauty tech tool also features a Turbo Boost Function that gives an extra burst of heat to round off every style. The Remington straightener comes with a protective drawstring case for protection while travelling. It's racked up impressive ratings on the Boots website, with several shoppers stating that it holds up in comparison to the must-loved GHD straightener. One reviewer wrote: "Absolutely thrilled with this purchase, so easy to use and leaves me normally dry and brittle hair feeling and looking very silky and straight- for the price, they are unbeatable." 1 Another added: "Bought these to replace an old set of GHDs, I was a bit suspicious of the price but decided to give them a go. My hair is very thick and curly so I usually straighten it the night before to avoid unnecessary kinks, but these have been truly amazing and I don't say that lightly. They take a little longer to heat up at the max temperature, but when they do, they straighten my hair perfectly. So much so, I can now wash and straighten my hair and go out without fear of kinks - the best £20 I've spent in a long time." Boots is opening its first ever perfume-only shop in London

Boots is one of the UK high street's great all-rounders. Sure, you can get beauty and cosmetic products at a Boots, but you can also grab medicines, electricals, homeware and even pretty decent meal deals. But soon Boots will hone in on just one of its many offerings, opening the brand's first-ever fragrance-first store. Called Boot Fragrance, it'll open in the City of London this autumn. Fussy about your perfume? This may be the shop for you. Boots Fragrance will apparently showcase more than 400 'luxury and niche' scents, promising UK exclusive perfumes and over 20 brands that are new to Boots – including 'new emerging British founder-led brands and niche international labels'. The new 2,150 square-foot space will also feature a team of 'fragrance specialists' who'll help you find your new smell, and within the shop will be 'trend-led discovery zones and immersive experiences'. Chelsey Saunders, Boots' director of fragrance, said: 'Boots Fragrance boutique represents a bold step forward in how we bring fragrance to our customers. As the nation's favourite beauty retailer, we're proud to be creating a space that not only showcases the very best in luxury and niche perfumery, but also makes it more accessible, inviting and inspiring for all.' This may be Boots' first ever perfume-first store, but it isn't the first time the company has experimented with new types of stores in London. Back in 2023 Boots opened a beauty-only store in Battersea Power Station, offering 11,200 square feet of beauty and skincare. London's new Boots Fragrance doesn't yet have an official opening date, but we know it'll be at new shopping centre Broadgate Central. Watch this space for updates.

M&S has opened its first ever airside supermarket at a London airport

Sometimes the airport just doesn't deliver when it comes to food. You don't always want a soggy Boots meal deal, or a greasy 'Spoons fry up. Sometimes what you need is an M&S crayfish sandwich with sea salt and balsamic vinegar crisps followed by Percy Pigs for pudding. So, we have good news, because Marks & Spencer has opened its first-ever airside supermarket in London Heathrow Airport (LHR), meaning from now passengers can stock up on Colin the Caterpillar bites, mini flapjacks and posh crisps before jetting off on their flights. M&S has launched two food shops inside Heathrow Terminal 5 – one at Gate A and one at Gate B. The shop at Gate A opened on Monday July 21, selling meal deals and food to go, while the Gate B outpost will open later in the week, selling items designed to be gifts including Percy Pigs, biscuit tins and the Big Daddy chocolate bar. The stores will be open from first flight to last flight, operating from 4.30am to 11pm. Right now the two shops are only operating as pop-ups. M&S hasn't confirmed if they will become a permanent fixture, or when the pop-ups will close. The arrival of M&S at Heathrow comes days after LHR revealed a multi-billion-pound investment plan to fund its future expansion, which will involve raising passenger charges. The airport also hopes to open its controversial third runway within the next 10 years. M&S, meanwhile, opened a new London Food Hall in Leytonstone this week.
