Nottingham Forest's Champions League hopes suffered a major blow when they were held to a 2-2 draw by already relegated Leicester.
Despite that, the point confirmed the club's return to European football of some kind next season.
What nobody saw coming was the incredible scene after full time when Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis marched onto the pitch to confront his OWN manager.
Marinakis approached Nuno Espirito Santo before furiously gesturing towards the boss before storming back off the field.

The game was being broadcast live on Sky Sports, with stunned pundits left angered by Marinakis' behaviour with Gary Neville even suggesting Nuno should WALK from the club.
The Forest boss later explained that Marinakis had been frustrated with the decision to allow striker Taiwo Awoniyi to keep playing on despite a collision with the post.
Now, Ally McCoist has had his say on the matter.
Appearing on talkSPORT Breakfast with ex-Aston Villa star Gabby Agbonlahor and the presenting duo railed against Marinakis' behaviour.

McCoist said: "I thought it looked absolutely ridiculous, looked really really poor.
"I just thought it was a terrible, terrible look. It really was."

Raging former England international Agbonlahor then blasted:" The guy's an idiot. He's always hanging around the tunnel for the cameras, there on the pitch.
"What are you doing anywhere near there? Sit in the chairman's lounge, have your prawn sandwiches. Enjoy that experience that chairmen do.

"They sit up there and leave it to the sporting director, managers, players. What are you doing on the pitch?
"And second of all, everything is on camera. Poor Nuno Santo's thinking i cant react now. It belittled him. What's that got to do with you? Go afterwards to the mangers office. Who does he think he is?"
McCoist then blasted: "It's embarrassing. That's the manager's domain.
"If there was a mix up, a misunderstand, a mistake, that's for the manager to deal with then if you've got a problem you sit down and have a chat with the manager in private.

"It was embarrassing to see him on the pitch. I thought Nuno handled it well.
"If someone had offered Nottingham Forest European football they'd have bitten their hand off.
"Now's the time for unity, for them to be together. I just thought it was shocking. Really embarrassing."

Sadio Mane hit with bombshell decision after requesting to miss England fixture

Sadio Mane has been told that his Al-Nassr days are numbered as they eye new transfers with the Senegal icon also asking to skip his country's game with England are heavy criticism Al-Nassr have told former Liverpool star Sadio Mane that he can leave the club this summer as they look to bring a top class replacement to Saudi Arabia. It continues Mane's torrid time since leaving Anfield, which he did after they lost the Champions League final in 2022. He was a star with the Reds, forming one of Europe's most fearsome attacks, but has been unable to continue that form since leaving English shores. ‌ A move to Bayern Munich last just a season and now Al-Nassr, where he's played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, have told him he can seek pastures new after two seasons in the Middle East. There are rules over how many foreign players can be in a team and the Saudi outfit have set their sights on Alejandro Garnacho. ‌ The Manchester United star has struggled to convince Ruben Amorim, who has left him on the bench for key games, and a move away from Old Trafford is being discussed and could ultimately suit all parties. Mane's former Liverpool team-mate Luis Diaz was also seen as an option, but Arne Slot claims he wants to retain the player. That is despite the Colombian admitting he's not held contract talks with those at Anfield as he considers his next move. READ MORE: Franck Ribery hits back at Cristiano Ronaldo in war of words over the Ballon d'Or It could all leave the Senegal icon looking for a new home and he's copping it on the international stage too - so much so that he's asked to sit out his country's upcoming game against England. The Three Lions will host the African nation at the City Ground in Nottingham in a matter of days. Mane asked to be left out of Senegal's showpiece friendly against England after being targeted by critics and trolls over his recent performances for the African country. The 33-year-old was gutted to be singled out for widespread stick after the two World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Togo in March. His request to miss Friday night's clash against the Republic of Ireland and the meeting with England and cited 'personal reasons', which were reluctantly accepted by coach Pape Thiaw. Thiaw said: 'It is a personal decision that belongs to Mane - and I respect it as a coach. Sadio is a very important player for us. But I don't coach one player, I coach 26 players, and so the most important thing is the collective. I have put together a squad of players who are available and ready to fight with pride for the national jersey.'

Craig Gordon has put pen to paper on a Hearts contract extension after signing up to be part of the Derek McInnes revolution at Tynecastle next season. The 42-year-old Scotland goalkeeper has put retirement on hold for at least another year after agreeing a new 12-month deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Gordon played 46 times for Hearts this season, becoming the club's record European appearance holder in the process, after displacing Zander Clark from the number one position following a lengthy lay-off with a double-leg break suffered against Dundee United on Christmas Eve 2022. To date, he has pulled on a Hearts jersey 330 times across two spells and earned over 100 clean sheets. Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon has signed a new one-year contract extension. He was not named in Steve Clarke's squad for the upcoming friendlies against Iceland and Leichtenstein due to a nerve injury which saw him miss the last three matches of the Premiership season. New Hearts boss McInnes made securing the veteran shotstopper one of his top priorities following his appointment earlier this week. The arrival of the former Kilmarnock gaffer has helped convince Gordon to sign up for another season in maroon. 'It's a huge honour to continue playing with this great club," Gordon, who turns 43 in December, told the Hearts website. 'Ever since I walked in the door of the old main stand in 1999 it's all I have wanted to do. I feel fortunate to still have the opportunity to do that for another year. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'I took my time to come to this decision, I wanted to make sure it was right. I'm looking forward to the new season, determined to make it better than the last. To be part of the new era under Derek McInnes and the new management team, I'm ready to do all I can to help get this team back to where we want to be. Another season, another chance to achieve. I'm looking forward to it.' McInnes is also hoping to retain the services of club captain Lawrence Shankland with the Hearts striker also out of contract this summer and able to leave on a free transfer.

Craig Gordon delivers Derek McInnes Hearts verdict and has words for 'incredible' Sunderland fans

Craig Gordon believes the appointment of Derek McInnes will see Hearts return to their roots. Sign up to our Football newsletter Sign up Thank you for signing up! Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon believes Derek McInnes' appointment as the new head coach at Tynecastle can help the club rediscover their identity after a challenging 2024/25 campaign. Ending the season in the bottom six, a difficult start to the season saw head coach Steven Naismith sacked by the club in September. His replacement Neil Critchley lasted just six months in the post though, after being dismissed following a 1-0 home defeat to Dundee in April, leading to the appointment of the experienced former Kilmarnock and Aberdeen boss McInnes last month. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Gordon, 42, will enter his 20th year as a professional next season after putting pen to paper on a one year extension at Hearts last month, and is hopeful that McInnes will take the club back to its roots and mount a challenge for a European place in the season ahead. Derek McInnes can bring the identity back to Hearts, says veteran goalkeeper Craig Gordon. | SNS Group 'I think it's a really good appointment,' said Gordon. 'Exactly what we need. From playing against his teams over the years, it's always a very difficult match, and I think that's exactly what the Hearts fans want us to be as well. I'm looking forward to it, I can't wait for pre-season to begin. We have an awful lot to look forward to. New manager, new players. 'He's [McInnes] been quite public with what he wants, and how he wants Hearts to be, and what he sees his Hearts team looking like. Getting back to being more aggressive, more physical. It's what Hearts fans want to see as well. For us to go out and give absolutely everything for the jersey. That's what him and his coaching staff will instil in the player's going forward. It's what the Hearts fans want to see - and above all, we want to be successful.' On Friday, the club confirmed Gordon will be honoured at Tynecastle with a special testimonial game against his former club Sunderland on July 26, with Hearts supporters likely to be given a glimpse of what to expect from McInnes' team in the season ahead, alongside an opportunity to celebrate the career of their treasured goalkeeper. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Gordon spent five seasons at the Stadium of Light having joined Sunderland for a British record transfer fee of £9million upon their promotion to the English Premier League back in 2007. A club he still holds affection for, the 81-cap Scotland international was delighted to see his former team promoted back to the top flight of English football last month following their 2-1 victory over Sheffield United in the EFL Championship play-off final at Wembley, and believes the visiting fans will make for a great atmosphere when they arrive in the capital for his testimonial. Hearts to Sunderland, 2007/08 'The away fans from Sunderland are just incredible,' said Gordon. 'They'll probably come here and pack out the whole stand. They're loud! A fantastic bunch, I fully enjoyed my time at Sunderland. I'm delighted they're back in the Premier League. It has been a huge battle for them to get there, it's taken a while. But for everybody, and there's a still a few of the coaching staff from my time there. So great for everybody there to be a Premier League club again. 'I was still a very young goalkeeper when I signed for Sunderland. Possibly too young to make that jump. The first couple of years, we were probably scrapping to stay in the league and establish ourselves. The work ethic, the never-say-die attitude he [Roy Keane] instilled, there was so many late goals. The togetherness of the group drove us through those difficult moments, which eventually got us enough points to stay in the league. 'Five years in the Premier League, we were never relegated, and had a few seasons around the middle of the league - we could have perhaps done even better. We had some good teams, and good players.
