One of the key members of Enrique's squad, despite the abundance of attacking talent in Paris, was Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The 26-year-old European Championship winner produced a string of superb saves in PSG's Champions League knockout wins over Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal. Given Donnarumma's influence in the French capital, it is a surprise that he has entered the final 12 months of his contract with PSG and yet to put pen to paper on a new deal. L'Equipe say contract talks began 'several months ago' but a positive outcome is still yet to be reached, with Donnarumma's camp said to be disappointed by the terms offered in earlier offers. The French outlet say a number of clubs are monitoring Donnarumma's situation, with Manchester United and Manchester City showing interest in bringing the shot-stopper to the Premier League. It is claimed Donnarumma is 'tempted' by switches to both clubs and has even discussed a move to the Premier League with some of his international teammates. United's interest in Donnarumma suggests Amorim is considering replacing current Old Trafford No. 1 Andre Onana, who endured an inconsistent season in Manchester. Onana featured in a Champions League final shortly before his £47m move from Inter Milan but has largely struggled at Manchester United. Man City, meanwhile, are looking for a long-term replacement for Ederson, who has spent almost a decade at the Etihad Stadium, lifting six league title. The 31-year-old Brazilian has been one of the best goalkeepers in the worldsince joining Manchester City but appears to be on the decline approaching his 32nd birthday. Asked about his future at PSG after lifting the Champions League trophy, Donnarumma said: 'I don't know yet what's going to happen. 'I haven't decided anything. For the moment, I want to focus on the matches with the national team, and nothing else. 'I will discuss the situation at the club in the coming days with the management and my staff. For now, it's still too early.' More Trending Donnarumma is not the only PSG player being linked with Manchester United. His teammate Goncalo Ramos has reportedly been offered to Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Amorim is desperate to sign a new striker this summer and Portugal international Ramos would be a cheaper alternative to Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko. Ramos, 23, scored 18 goals for PSG last season and has nine goals in 15 games for Portugal. Full confirmed list of Manchester United ins and outs for summer transfer window
Manchester United are keen to have a busy summer transfer window following a dreadful debut campaign for Ruben Amorim, with more forwards targeted after the Matheus Cunha capture It is a huge summer transfer window for Manchester United. Ruben Amorim's side finished 15th in the Premier League last season and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham, meaning big changes are expected this summer. Mirror Football understands that United are willing to listen to offers for any of their players this summer, with their transfer budget standing at just £100million without departures. Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, who all spent last season away on loan, are top of the list, while Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund are the subject of interest from Italy. Bruno Fernandes has rejected a mega-money move to Al-Hilal, but Garnacho appears likely to leave after falling out with Amorim at the back end of the season. Garnacho was dropped for the Europa League final and has attracted the attention of Napoli, as well as Saudi side Al-Nassr. Meanwhile, Hojlund has caught the eye of Inter Milan, who could splash out £40million to sign the misfiring United striker this summer. His future is uncertain with Amorim chasing a number of attackers in the transfer window. After landing Matheus Cunha in a statement £62.5m signing from Wolves, United are interested in both Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo and Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres. Mbeumo scored 20 goals in the Premier League last season, while Gyokeres plundered over 50 for Sporting and could be reunited with Amorim this summer, although there is a lot of competition for his signature. "We always prepare two plans," Amorim said recently. "With and without the Champions League. Without the Champions League, we also don't need a big squad. "We can control the squad in a better way. Then we have a plan, that is to bring in some new players, but our big plan is to improve the team we have, to improve the academy. "It was the past, so it can be the future. It can't change much because of Financial Fair Play, we are not allowed to do much, even with the Champions League, so we are prepared. It's important to stick together. 'We are going to struggle, it's not going to be everything right away, but I can see the team improving and that's the most important thing." Whatever happens, it's bound to be a busy summer for United, with plenty of incoming and outgoing deals brewing after Sir Jim Ratcliffe oversaw a raft of cost-cutting measures. Rasmus Hojlund breaks silence on £40m Manchester United transfer exit
Rasmus Hojlund has been linked with a £40million transfer back to Italy this summer after struggling for goals with Manchester United, who are bringing in attacking reinforcements Rasmus Hojlund has insisted that he is fully focused on Manchester United amid reports he could leave for Inter Milan this summer. Like many United players, Hojlund endured a poor 2024/25 campaign and his place in Ruben Amorim's side is under threat. United have made it clear that they will listen to offers for any of their players in the summer transfer window and Hojlund has been linked with a £40million move to Inter. He managed just 10 goals in 52 appearances across all competitions for United last season, taking his tally to 26 in 95 games altogether. The club are bolstering their underperforming front line this summer by signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5m, while they are also interested in Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo and Sporting Lisbon goal machine Viktor Gyokeres. Those deals would throw Hojlund's place in the side into question and Inter have reportedly sensed an opportunity. It's reported in Italy that the departures of Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic from Inter could lead to a bid for Hojlund, who still has a good reputation in Italy thanks to his spell at Atalanta. It's said that Inter are waiting for a new manager to be in place following Simone Inzaghi's departure to join Al-Hilal before a decision is taken – but Hojliund has moved to pour cold water on the rumours. Speaking after playing in Denmark's 2-1 win over Northern Ireland on Saturday night, he told TV 2 Sport: "I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United. I'm looking forward to going on a summer vacation, and then I'm fully dedicated to the project that's underway. "I know I can't get much out of reading things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030. United would be open to offers for Hojlund, given their interest in signing big-money attackers for Amorim. The Dane was also referenced by owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe when discussing the kinds of deals his INEOS group would not sanction. 'If you look at the players we are buying, that we didn't buy, we're buying Antony, we're buying Casemiro, we're buying [Andre] Onana, we're buying Hojlund, we're buying [Jadon] Sancho,' Ratcliffe told BBC Sport. 'These are all things from the past, whether we like it or not, we've inherited those things and have to sort that out.'
