
Hillsdale County man killed in single-vehicle crash Saturday in Lenawee County
The fatality was a 29-year-old man from Waldron, who drive the Dodge Caravan involved in the crash. His passenger, a 27-year-old woman from Waldron, was taken by Lenawee Community Ambulance to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Troopers reported that the caravan was eastbound on US-223, near Woerner Road, about 7 p.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
US-223 was shut down for about four hours during investigation of the crash, reopening around 11 p.m.
Troopers were assisted on scene by the Lenawee County Sheriff's Department, the Cambridge Police Department, the Lenawee Community Ambulance, the Addison Fire Department and the Cambridge Fire Department.

Five children among eight injured during pickup-buggy crash in mid-Michigan
Five children who were riding in an Amish buggy were among eight people injured when a pickup truck and buggy collided Tuesday in mid-Michigan's Montcalm County. Troopers from the Michigan State Police Lakeview post, which are investigating the crash, said all five children were taken to a hospital, where they were listed in serious to critical condition. A woman who was in the buggy also went to the hospital where she was listed in critical condition. A man who was in the buggy had minor injuries. Crash involving gravel hauler closes I-75 at I-94 in Wayne County
A portion of Interstate 75 at Interstate 94 in Wayne County is closed after a crash involving a gravel hauler, according to Michigan State Police. Police say that at about 3:45 p.m., the hauler pulling a double trailer rolled over on the northbound freeway. The driver's condition is unknown. An investigation is ongoing. Police pursuit involving stolen U-Haul truck ends with crash, driver in custody
A stolen U-Haul truck crashed into a utility pole during a police pursuit in Metro Detroit, the Michigan State Police reported. The crash happened about 12:10 a.m. Tuesday near 108 Massachusetts Street, after Highland Park Police Department reported it was involved in the pursuit. As the Detroit Regional Communication Center relayed that information to state police in the area, they learned that the stolen vehicle tried to ram a patrol car and strike multiple officers. Highland Park police reported the pursuit ended with the suspect crashing the truck into a pole near Massachusetts Street and John R Street. Metro South post troopers responded to the area, and assisted in looking for the driver. State police chased the suspect into a back yard and then found him, a 34-year-old man from Detroit, hiding behind a house. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to Highland Park Police Department, which is continuing the investigation.
