Chelsea Demand £100m for Jackson as Man United Plot Summer Move

Al Bawaba22-07-2025
Chelsea have set a valuation of £80 to £100 million on striker Nicolas Jackson, according to a report by Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol. Manchester United is among the clubs interested, along with others from Europe and Saudi Arabia. The Blues are in a strong position, mainly due to Jackson's eight-year contract, which still has a long time to run.
Chelsea Remain Calm on Jackson's Future
Despite Jackson's playing time being reduced during the Club World Cup, where Liam Delap and Joao Pedro outperformed him, Chelsea continue to support the 24-year-old Senegalese striker.
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea believes Jackson's goal involvement over the past two Premier League seasons—34 total goals and assists—surpasses Hugo Ekitike's record in Germany of 29. Liverpool recently paid £79 million for Ekitike, and Chelsea is using that fee as a reference point, especially when negotiating with domestic rivals like Manchester United.
United Monitoring Situation but Hesitant Over Price
Manchester United have been watching Jackson for a while, and as they continue searching for attacking depth, he remains an option of interest. However, Chelsea's high asking price could be a challenge.
Sky Sports journalist Mark McAdam noted United's hesitation, saying, 'That's a lot of money.' With other, more affordable options available abroad, United's recruitment team may need to balance Jackson's Premier League record with the financial risk involved.

Barcelona Reveals Special El Clasico Kit for 2025-26 Season

Published July 29th, 2025 - 09:05 GMT FC Barcelona will launch a fourth kit for the 2025-26 season, featuring a distinct new design made specifically for El Clásico. This new kit will add to the club's traditional home, away, and third kits, highlighting the intensity of its rivalry with Real Madrid both on and off the field. First Look at the New Design The first images of the special edition jersey were recently shared by Footy Headlines, a trusted source, citing an Instagram post from Mask Jerseys. The design stands out with its non-uniform red and blue stripes and a touch of gradient sky blue accents. It offers a modern and artistic take on Barcelona's classic colors, challenging the usual kit styles. Early Reactions: Bold and Positive Spanish designer @OriolWarero posted a digital mock-up on X (formerly Twitter) showing Brazilian winger Raphinha in the new shirt. This image received positive feedback from fans, who admired the club's new direction and its effort to innovate for one of football's biggest matches. A Marketing Move with Global Reach Creating a kit specifically for El Clásico is not just a design choice; it's also a smart strategy. El Clásico is among the most-watched sports events in the world, and Barcelona aims to take advantage of that wide audience. The club has set record merchandise sales in recent seasons, and this limited edition jersey is expected to boost that success. © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (

Amorim is the right man for Man Utd, says Ugarte

Ammon News - Finishing 15th in the Premier League was nowhere near good enough for Manchester United last season but the players still have faith in manager Ruben Amorim, midfielder Manuel Ugarte said. Amorim took charge of United in November last year but guided them to just seven wins in 27 league matches and their worst-ever finish in the Premier League. They also failed to qualify for the Champions League as they lost the Europa League final 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur. "We have to improve things," Ugarte told British media. "We are all very motivated, because we believe in the coach, we believe in what he wants and that is very important," added the Uruguayan, who also played under Amorim at Sporting. "Last year we made some changes, we changed our coach, we changed our formation. "You have to have responsibilities when you play for United. Sometimes the connections take time to get to know each other. I already know the league, the rivals, which is important." United will play two pre-season matches in the U.S., taking on Bournemouth in Chicago on Wednesday and facing Everton in Atlanta on Sunday, before returning home to face Fiorentina at Old Trafford on August 9. They begin the new Premier League season against Arsenal on August 17. Reuters
