After RCB's IPL win, the franchise hosted a victory parade which had resulted in a stampede that led to the deaths of 11 fans and many more injuries.
The BCCI named a three-member committee which includes Devajit Saikia (as Chairperson), Prabhtej Singh Bhatia and Rajeev Shukla to 'formulate comprehensive guidelines' for the future. BCCI's three-member committee will formulate the guidelines within 15 days, the statement added.

Kuldeep Yadav admits taking over Rohit Sharma's place in team bus, reveals reason behind it: ‘Uspe main baithta hu'

Team India leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav revealed that it's he — and not new captain Shubman Gill — who has taken Rohit Sharma's seat on the team bus. Rohit, who led India in the last two World Test Championship editions, announced his retirement ahead of the next cycle, and the BCCI has chosen Shubman as his successor, but in the team bus, Kuldeep decided to take his seat to sit alongside veteran Ravindra Jadeja. During a press conference on Sunday, Kuldeep admitted to taking over Rohit Sharma's place in the team bus. "Uspe main baithta hu (I sit there)," Kuldeep said in the press conference. However, the leggie further said that he can' take his former skipper's place and revealed the reason behind it, which was related to veteran Jadeja. "I can never take Rohit bhai's place. It's just that I am spending more time with Jaddu bhai. It's important as a spinner for me because Ash bhai is not there. I have learnt a lot from him. When I started my cricket, I have played with both of them. Very lucky to have Jadeja as my spin partner. I am enjoying it," Kuldeep said. The retirement of R Ashwin has put more responsibility on Jadeja, who has played 12 Tests in England. The sole specialist spinner in the squad, Kuldeep Yadav, has only bowled nine overs in his sole Test appearance here. Meanwhile, following the retirements of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, it's going to be a big test for the youngsters to step up. They'll need to do so in challenging conditions, where tackling the weather and swing will be a tough task for the batters. Skipper Shubman will also be feeling a lot of pressure to perform with the bat, as his overseas batting record has not been up to the mark in recent times. "When the seniors go away, their absence is always felt. Virat bhai and Rohit bhai have done so much for the team. They will be missed, but it's also an opportunity for youngsters to perform well. But yes, I am sure everybody would be missing the seniors. But the youngsters are excited for the challenge. Batsmen are working very hard in the nets and preparing really well," he added.

Aaron Judge and fans react after DJ LeMahieu hit sparks new MLB outrage

A key moment during the match has once again sparked frustration across the league. What looked like a game-changing hit turned into a heated argument, a tossed manager, and fresh complaints about the way decisions are made. This isn't the first time—and fans are running out of patience. DJ LeMahieu's hit causes confusion and fury in Yankees vs. Red Sox game Referee Jeremie Rehak penalized DJ LeMahieu for a powerful line drive during a tight New York Yankees against Boston Red Sox fight on June 15, 2025 at Fenway Park. Later in the game, the Yankees were 2-1 behind; the ball seemed to be near the first baseline. The call startled both the fans and the players. Yankees manager Aaron Boone immediately challenged it. The call lingered, but replay indicated the ball may have landed on the line after the bounce. Boone screamed, obviously furious, and was pushed off by the umpire. Speaking after the game, LeMahieu told reporters, 'It looked to me like the ball didn't go foul until after it bounced. They reviewed it, but obviously frustrating. We're fighting for baserunners right there.' Boone also shared his thoughts, saying, 'A quarter of the ball was on the line. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo It takes a lot of imagination to say that's foul.' Also Read: Wild 10 Seconds In IPL! Umpire Confused, Ishan Kishan Walks, Snickometer Says NOT OUT Aaron Judge, Max Goodman, and fans all speak up on MLB's umpire troubles This isn't the first time the Yankees have faced this problem. A few months ago, star slugger Aaron Judge had a hit called foul that should've been a home run. Judge had said back then, 'They missed it, and I've just got to move on.' After this latest incident, MLB insider Max Goodman posted on X (formerly Twitter), 'Whether the DJ LeMahieu line drive was fair or foul… MLB can get these calls right consistently if they implemented what we've seen in tennis.' Fans online echoed that frustration. One wrote, 'No more human error. Give us the tech like in soccer and tennis.' Another said, 'It's clearly the umpire union stopping progress. Fix it already.' Many believe MLB's Automated Ball-Strike (ABS) system—tested in spring games using Hawk-Eye cameras—could help. The system had a 52.2% success rate in over 288 spring training games, but Commissioner Rob Manfred says it may not arrive until 2026. With growing pressure from fans and players alike, calls for fairer tech-based solutions are louder than ever.

Vadodara to host men's ODI after 16 years!

Vadodara: The 16-year-long wait for cricket-loving Barodians is finally set to end. The city will host a men's one-day international (ODI) at the Kotambi International Cricket Stadium. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The BCCI has scheduled the first ODI between India and New Zealand in Vadodara on Jan 11, 2026. Coincidentally, the last ODI played in the city in 2010 was also between India and New Zealand at the Reliance Stadium. India won the match by nine wickets. "It is a matter of privilege for a venue to be chosen to host an international cricket match in any format. The Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) is honoured as it has been given an opportunity to host the India-New Zealand ODI," said Pranav Amin, BCA president. The BCCI recently announced its cricketing calendar for the rest of the year, but Vadodara didn't figure on the list of venues for any international men's cricket match in 2025. Sources in the BCA said that Amin took up the matter with the BCCI and requested the senior officials to consider the city as a venue for the men's ODI or international T20 match, as the city now has a brand new international cricket stadium. BCA officials said that the city will now be regularly allotted ODIs and international T20 matches. The city has in the past hosted 10 ODIs at Reliance Stadium. However, the BCCI brought in a rule that mandated the state cricket associations to own a stadium for hosting international matches. The BCA didn't have a stadium of its own and hence missed out on several opportunities to host ODIs, T20 internationals, and IPL matches over the last 16 years. The cricket stadium was a major poll issue in the BCA for nearly 20 years, and the association even made a few attempts to buy land for constructing a stadium. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The deals, though, failed. The BCA finally managed to buy a piece of land at Kotambi in 2014, but the stadium project kept hanging in the balance amid controversies and differences within the BCA management. Construction of the stadium, which has a capacity of 35,000 spectators, finally took off in 2020. In December 2024, the Rs 250-crore Kotambi stadium hosted an India-West Indies women's ODI, which was followed by Women's Premier League T20 matches this year.
