Bill Belichick called out by top college recruit who makes 'bum' dig after snubbing UNC
Bill Belichick has been called out by a top college recruit who decided to snub UNC.
Keshawn Stancil, a top-10 recruit in the state of North Carolina according to Rivals, received an offer to play for the Tar Heels as well as a litany of other schools.
But the four-star prospect explained how seeing Belichick sign a 'bum' before reaching out to him led him to reject the school.
'I seen a bum commit to UNC, then Bill called,' he wrote on Instagram, as she shared photos from a visit to in-state rivals NC State. 'I felt played so I went to the owners.'
In the series of photos, Stancil could be seen posing in a full NC State uniform.
UNC leads the all-time series 68-40-6, though NC State have won the last four contests.

Ultimately, Stancil decided to leave the state altogether as his commitment to Clemson was announced on Saturday.
He also received offers from Miami, Auburn, Florida and more.
Nonetheless, Belichick has injected some talent into UNC as the Tar Heels have the 40th-best recruiting class in the country as of Saturday according to Rivals.
The former Patriots coach has managed to lure two four-star recruits to Chapel Hill, including defensive tackle Trashawn Ruffin.
Belichick's tenure at UNC has so far been largely overshadowed by headlines surrounding his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.
A string of explosive reports have emerged over recent weeks, in the wake of a humiliating interview with CBS, when Hudson shut down questions about the start of their relationship.
And published by WRAL last week detail the fallout from the CBS interview.
They show that disgruntled fans felt the relationship was turning the school into a 'laughing stock'. In the emails, however, Belichick defended Hudson and their romance.
He also explained why his young girlfriend was at the interview, which was organized to promote his new book: 'The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.'
'Jordon was present at the CBS interview because David Kass, the Simon & Schuster publicist, was not there,' Belichick claimed.
'I included Jordon in the book acknowledgments because she was a creative contributor to the book, including having the idea for formatting the 4 special pages in the book.'
According to WRAL News, however, Hudson intended to sit in on the April 21 interview regardless of whether Kass was there.

Internazionale v Fluminense: Club World Cup quarter-final
Update: Date: 2025-06-30T18:00:41.000Z Title: Preamble Content: Neither of these teams have wowed 'em yet. In the groups, Inter drew with Monterrey then left it late against both Urawa Red Diamonds and River Plate, while Fluminense's admittedly entertaining come-from-behind 4-2 victory over Ulsan HD was sandwiched by two goalless draws against Borussia Dortmund and Mamelodi Sundowns. But both know their way around knock-out football: Big Flu won the Copa Libertadores in 2023 while Inter reached the final of Big Cup in 2023 and 2025. So this could still be fun … providing the North Carolina weather doesn't do a number on us again. Kick-off is at 8pm UK time, 3pm local, lightning permitting. It's on! Hopefully!

Report: Sexual assault civil case dropped against BYU QB
June 30 - The woman who made sexual assault allegations against BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff dropped her civil lawsuit. Judge Coral Sanchez of the Third Judicial District Court in Salt Lake County, Utah, approved a joint motion for a dismissal of the case on Monday. The suit filed in May by a woman identified as Jane Doe A.G. had alleged that Retzlaff bit, raped and strangled her at his Provo apartment in November 2023. A lawyer for Retzlaff addressed the allegations Friday, calling them "ridiculous" and "bizarre" in a court filing that described the incident as consensual sex. Retzlaff's admission of consensual sex still violates BYU's honor code, which prohibits premarital sex. The Salt Lake Tribune and ESPN reported Sunday that Retzlaff is facing a seven-game suspension by the school. According to ESPN, he has already begun to inform teammates and coaches about his intention to transfer. Retzlaff, a California native who began his career playing for Riverside (Calif.) City College, transferred to BYU prior to the 2023 season. After starting the final four games in 2023, he won a training-camp battle to become the Cougars' No. 1 quarterback in 2024. He led them to an 11-2 record and an Alamo Bowl win over Colorado. He finished the campaign with 2,947 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound redshirt senior had been expected to reprise his starting role this fall. --Field Level Media

Loved-up Jordon Hudson posts cryptic Instagram story with Bill Belichick amid bitter feud with his ex
Jordon Hudson is making it clear that North Carolina head football coach Bill Belichick is her man as she continues to hash it out with the former New England Patriots coach's ex-girlfriend. Hudson and Boston news anchor Linda Holliday have been launching not-so-subtle digs at each other in private messages which have since become public after the Daily Mail exclusively revealed them last week. In the latest post to her Instagram story, Hudson appeared to mark her territory by sharing a cryptic snap. The story features a single photo of Hudson seemingly holding hands with the 73-year-old coach while lounging outdoors. While the photo was shown, Hudson sound tracked it with the Tom Petty song 'Wildflowers'. Specifically, the lines 'I have seen no other / Who compares with you' accompanied the image. It's been revealed that Belichick and former flame, Boston news anchor Linda Holliday (seen together above in 2008), broke up a year before their separation had been officially revealed It's not exactly clear where this image was taken - with only the sky, some trees, and power lines seen in the background. This comes after recent reports suggest that Belichick and Holliday actually broke up about a year before their separation was announced. Their relationship has been brought back into the limelight in recent days after Hudson brutally ripped Holliday in a private Instagram exchange. As Daily Mail revealed, Hudson called Holliday 'pathetic' and 'delusional' after discovering a personal email she sent to Belichick during their 16-year relationship. Belichick and Holliday, 62, broke up in September 2023 after 16 years together. He met Hudson on a flight from Boston to Florida in 2021. There has been speculation over the timeline of Belichick and Hudson's relationship but a new report in People has alleged his relationship with Holliday had long been over when he started dating Hudson. 'Many assumed that Bill had cheated on Linda through 2022 and 2023, but they were broken up by September 2022,' a source said. Belichick's new flame Jordon Hudson brutally ripped Holliday in a private Instagram exchange 'Linda was still pretending they were together after the breakup, and Bill played along so she could transition with the least amount of public humiliation and avoid abrupt displacement. 'Bill moved into a hotel nearby Gillette Stadium in September and allowed Linda to continue to stay in his homes.'. Another source added that they had 'been pretty separate for a while' and they were dealing with problems that were 'not new' when they finally went their separate ways. Tensions between Hudson and Holliday have been high for months. The two are said to have had a feisty exchange at a Christmas event in Nantucket towards the end of last year. It ramped up last week though when Hudson engaged in the testy Instagram exchange after being called a 'gold digger' by a user she believed was Holliday's close friend. Hudson claimed that she 'found' the letter at Belichick's home near Boston, and sent a picture of it to her supposed friend, insisting that Holliday should 'burn it.' Neither Hudson nor Holliday responded to the Daily Mail's request for comment. However, Hudson and Belichick emerged over the weekend at the Nantucket Film Festival, according to Page Six. A source told the publication that Hudson and the 73-year-old coach 'partied all night with festival attendees.' The likes of Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor were also at the event. Belichick has been embedded in the Nantucket community dating back to his years with the Patriots, and his past and present collided in May when Holliday reportedly confronted Hudson and her friend at an event there. According to an incident report filed by an employee at a Christmas party - which was obtained by TMZ - Holliday was enraged by Hudson's presence at the December 6 event, which Holliday's daughters were DJing at. The incident report said that Holliday thought Hudson being there was 'inappropriate, since the event was widely advertised as a party headlined by her daughters.' The report claims that at 9:30pm, Holliday approached the member of staff and asked her to remove Hudson from the party. Hudson, who was at the event with fellow pageant contest Melissa Sapini, eventually agreed to leave the event - but told a staffer that Holliday threatened her friend while they were still on the dance floor. It was claimed Holliday told Hudson's friend that if she 'valued her current title, she should think twice about who her friends are' and that she 'had many powerful friends in the pageant organization.' Hudson branded a personal letter from Holliday to Belichick as 'pathetic' and 'embarrassing' Belichick and Hudson are gearing up for the start of UNC's football season in September Thus, it's not wholly unsurprising that Hudson would have choice words for Holliday months later after being prodded in a direct message exchange with a purported friend of Holliday's. Replying with a blistering and sarcastic retort she wrote: 'Hey babes! Since you are tight with Ms Holiday (sic), could you please ask her what she would like me to do with this letter I found from 2015? 'Due to its pathetic and embarrassing content, I imagine she wants it back,' she wrote, referring to the private email. She later continued: 'She should make the point to burn it so she continue to live in delusional denial (that her relationship with BB wasn't doomed yeaaaaars prior to him finally dumping her)' she continued.
