in 'Naach', 'Sarkar' and 'Sarkar Raj'. In a recent interview with ETimes, Abhishek recalled something that the director told him, which also gave him an all-new perspective about getting an award.
He also spoke about how that made sense, which is why actors shouldn't ever be compared.
The 'Guru' actor told ETimes, "Ramu told me something. We were shooting for 'Sarkar'. It happened funnily because there was an award function which I wanted to go to. I was nominated. I think I was nominated for Yuva and I wanted to go but I was shooting. Then, Ramu told me, 'I don't believe in awards and all'. I said why? Because in those days awards were a really big thing.
Sadly today it's just fallen off, and it's sad because today we don't have anything genuine that celebrates our work.
I said 'I want to go because I have a good chance to win.' He said, 'But why does that validate you?' I said, 'What do you mean?' He asked me, 'Who are the other people nominated for best supporting actor?' I said, 'so and so..'.
Abhishek added further, "He told me, 'When you give a school exam everybody writes the same paper and you're judged on that.

So, over here all of you do Lallan from 'Yuva' and then we'll see who's better.' I said, 'Wow'. So, for me, I feel, we should say who we prefer as an actor. We can't ever say who's a better actor."
Giving an example of art and artists, Abhishek added that while as an audience, we can choose who we prefer to watch, but it's unfair to say 'so and so is a better actor than that one'. He added, "In Indian art, we have two wonderful Indian painters, some of my favourites include Subhash Awchat and Paresh Maity.
I love both of their works. Who's the better painter? You can't say it. It's subjective. You can choose who appeals better to you but you can't say this guy is better than the other.
You shouldn't say it for actors either. What I'm saying is, it's very unfair and wrong to say that about an artist. Oh, he's better. You can say, 'Oh I prefer him. But you can't say, 'Oh he's better'."
Abhishek will be seen next in 'Kaalidhar Laapata', set to release on July 4 on OTT.

Zareen Khan shares old video of getting Katrina Kaif's autograph at Race premiere, recalls being a fangirl: ‘Never imagined I'd one day be in the film industry'

Zareen Khan , who made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in Veer (2010), has often made headlines for her resemblance to Katrina during her early years in the industry. She recently took a trip down memory lane and shared a nostalgic video of her younger self getting an autograph from Katrina Kaif at the premiere of Race (2008). Posting the clip on Instagram, Zareen wrote, 'Oh my Goddd! Came across this video and the memory is still so fresh. I clearly remember this moment... it's from the premiere of the movie RACE. Thanks to a friend who got us passes, we were able to experience the magic firsthand. At that point, I was just a wide-eyed fan, never imagining I'd one day be a part of the film industry.' She added, 'But look at how happy I am in this video, a total fangirl... grinning from ear to ear, getting an autograph from the woman I thought was and is breathtakingly beautiful!' Zareen says being compared to Katrina Kaif eventually hurt her career Speaking on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa's podcast, Zareen had reflected on how her similarity to Katrina Kaif, once seen as a compliment, eventually became a stumbling block in her career. 'Life after Veer was very bad for me, I got a lot of criticism. The film was a life-changing moment for me. Initially, I felt very happy that I was being compared to Katrina Kaif, but within the industry, things kept getting worse. For me, who used to be overweight, being compared to Katrina was huge, but it all backfired.' Zareen Khan's workout video will motivate you to skip cheat day and hit the gym She further shared that she felt like an outsider in Bollywood and was often misunderstood. 'I felt like a lost child in the industry, plus there was hesitation. I didn't know most people here, but they started to feel I was arrogant because Salman Khan launched me.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Beyond Text Generation: An AI Tool That Helps You Write Better Grammarly Install Now Undo After her debut in Veer, Zareen went on to star in films like Housefull 2, Hate Story 3, Aksar 2, and the horror thriller 1921. When is the point of no return in Death Stranding 2?

(Image via Kojima Productions) Wondering when Death Stranding 2 locks you in for good? If you're the type who likes to tie up every side quest, deliver every lost package, and soak in every weirdly brilliant Kojima moment before things get intense, this guide is for you. While Death Stranding 2 is forgiving in many ways, there's still a moment where the game subtly says: no going back now. What Is the Point of No Return in Death Stranding 2? In most games, the 'point of no return' is a crystal-clear warning—big boss fight ahead, are you sure you're ready? In Death Stranding 2, it's more... Kojima-esque. There's no flashing message or 'last chance to explore' banner. Instead, the game quietly shifts into a more linear mode, narrowing your freedom and steering you hard into the endgame. What Changes After That Point? Once you cross the invisible threshold, here's what actually changes in gameplay terms: You lose access to fast travel temporarily Some side missions and optional deliveries become unavailable You'll be locked into a long sequence of main missions, about 5+ hours of continuous story You can't go back to earlier regions until the credits roll It's not a full shutdown of the open world, but it does limit what you can do and where you can go until the main plot wraps. Death Stranding 2 PS5 Pro | Order 43 Destruction of Chiral Jammers & Threat Removal The Mission You Should Pause At If you want to continue exploring, upgrading gear, or doing deliveries before the final sprint, do not start Main Order 43. Once you accept that mission: Fast travel gets locked You'll be locked into several hours of uninterrupted story missions Backtracking is off the table until the game is over Essentially, Order 43 marks the moment where the game says, 'Alright, no more distractions — let's finish this.' Can You Go Back After the Ending? Yes. 100%. Once the credits roll, you return to the world with everything unlocked again. Fast travel returns, and all side missions remain available. So don't worry about missing out — Kojima's world welcomes you back. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like An engineer reveals: One simple trick to get internet without a subscription Techno Mag Learn More Undo Still, if you like a clean slate before the final arc, avoid Main Order 43 until you're truly ready. Finish everything you care about before Main Order 43. Then strap in and let Kojima take the wheel. This isn't a game that punishes curiosity. But it does reward timing. When a 'traumatised' Rakhee Majumdar decided to end her marriage with Gulzar after he showed concern for Suchitra Sen: 'We deserve an award for the best split couple'

Veteran actress Rakhee Majumdar's marriage to lyricist Sampooran Singh Kalra, popularly known as Gulzar , became an emotional topic for her fans when their bond ended on a traumatic note. However, after parting ways unofficially, they grew closer to each other. Rakhee Majumdar's failed marriage with Ajay Biswas Rakhee had married Bengali filmmaker Ajay Biswas at a young age, but they separated in 1965. Later, fate brought her together with Gulzar. The acclaimed lyricist and writer married Rakhee in 1973, and the couple welcomed their daughter Meghna Gulzar the same year. Reportedly, Gulzar asked Rakhee to step away from her acting career after marriage. Rakhee Majumdar's marriage with Gulzar Trusting that her passion could still find space in Gulzar's own productions, Rakhee agreed. She turned down multiple film offers, hoping her husband might cast her in his films. However, those expectations were dashed when Gulzar repeatedly chose other actresses for his projects. Rakhee's tolerance reached its limit during the J&K shoot of Gulzar's Aandhi. A post-shoot gathering led to a tense moment when lead actor Sanjeev Kumar allegedly misbehaved with actress Suchitra Sen . Gulzar intervened to de-escalate the situation and later escorted Suchitra to her hotel. Though his intentions may have been noble, Rakhee felt hurt and questioned him about his actions. Rakhee Majumdar's return to Bollywood The confrontation turned violent. According to reports, Gulzar hit Rakhee for questioning him. The incident left her traumatised. The very next day, filmmaker Yash Chopra offered her a role in Kabhi Kabhie. Rakhee returned to films, despite her husband's disapproval. Kabhi Kabhie marked a powerful comeback for her, and the duo decided to live apart. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like local network access control Esseps Learn More Undo Their daughter Meghna was unwilling to see her parents officially part ways, so they never legally divorced. The duo later maintained a respectful bond with each other. Rakhee Majumdar's bond with Gulzar after separation In an old interview with Stardust, Rakhee spoke about the dynamics of their post-separation relationship. 'We deserve an award for the best split couple. We are more well-adjusted than most married couples. Gulzar and I are there for each other. He treats me as if I were still his wife. He calls me from his house and tells me, 'I've called four friends for dinner. There's no food at home. So please, quickly send some jhinga curry. ' I send it across.' Rakhee also opened up about how Gulzar's films often mirrored intimate aspects of their personal life. Over the years, she observed that he drew inspiration from their shared moments and translated them into scenes and characters on screen. She believes that only the two of them can truly recognise the real-life situations behind those cinematic moments. Recalling their time as a married couple, she shared that their evenings often involved creative exchanges—Gulzar would read his stories aloud while she translated Bengali stories for him. She would remain by his side as he continued writing late into the night. Two of those stories were eventually adapted into his films, Parichay and Khushboo. She also mentioned a call she once received from Gulzar, during which he praised her role in 'Ram Lakhan'.
