Anthony Edwards accuses ex Ayesha Howard of demanding $500K and public apology amid custody battle
Edwards, 24, said in court papers filed on August 6 in Los Angeles Superior Court that Howard, 38, has not completed the paperwork giving her full legal and physical custody of their daughter, Aubri, born in October 2024.
The court gave Howard sole custody and told both sides to put it into an agreement on May 20.
Howard said Edwards' team sent her an agreement with a clause that would stop her from speaking badly about him publicly. It also said she could not post photos of their daughter. She said she never agreed to those terms. Edwards' team said they later removed the clause, but Howard then made more demands.

Ayesha Howard demands for a public apology
Edwards said his ex wants a public apology from him to be posted 'on all of his official social media platforms, publicly retracting all false and defamatory or misleading statements made about her during' the court fight and 'affirming her integrity and her role as a mother of their daughter.' He said Howard also asked for $500,000 in damages. Edwards' team said Howard will not sign the papers without these demands.
In the court papers, Edwards said he is still paying legal fees to defend himself.
Ayesha allegedly issued a clarification for asking for half a million dollars. She said, 'I want to make it clear that my request for compensation was never tied to agreeing to any custody orders. I asked for compensation due to the substantial financial and reputational damages I've endured during this prolonged litigation with Anthony Edwards.'
This situation between the two has been going on for a long time. It all started when Aubri was born. Edwards began the fight by asking Lil Baby's ex to take a paternity test to prove he was the father. The NBA player has made it clear that he did not want to be the child's father for a while, according to HotNewHipHop.

Milan Lucic's wife stirs NHL return buzz despite lingering 2023 domestic violence scandal
Brittany Lucic offered a glimpse into Milan Lucic's recovery via Instagram, hinting at a possible NHL return (Getty Images) Brittany Lucic used an Instagram Q&A to offer a rare, personal update about her husband Milan Lucic's recovery and the possibility of him returning to the NHL — a brief but loaded exchange that rewrites the public narrative around a case that drew intense media scrutiny. Her comments didn't settle questions about a comeback, but they did spotlight accountability, rehabilitation and how families navigate high-profile incidents behind closed doors. Milan Lucic's wife Brittany hints at his NHL return When a follower asked if Milan planned to return to pro hockey, Brittany posted a swim-trunk photo and wrote: 'I'm not sure but he looks great!' That clipped answer didn't confirm a roster plan — but it did suggest Lucic is physically well and perhaps rebuilding his life away from the headlines. For teams, agents and fans tracking roster depth, ambiguous updates like this are often the first public signals of someone moving through recovery toward potential availability. Across the Q&A, Brittany framed their progress as deliberately staged: 'Separate! And then together! It's a powerful journey I will share more about my views/path eventually! 🤍' She also reflected on self-accountability: 'Isn't it so easy to blame others, have no accountability, identify the role you played in your life, or even have to self reflect … spooky stuff going to those places.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Family Adopted A New 'Dog', But When The Vet Sees It He Calls The Police Undo These words matter because they shift the frame from legal outcomes to personal growth — a narrative teams and leagues increasingly weigh when considering an athlete's return to play. How the legal and team context still shapes any potential return Lucic was arrested in November 2023 after an alleged domestic incident; prosecutors later dropped charges when Brittany invoked marital privilege, and Lucic entered the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program and took an indefinite leave. Those facts remain central to how franchises, sponsors and the public will evaluate any comeback path — medical clearance and PR rehabilitation alone rarely settle the broader reputational calculus. What to watch next and why fans should pay attention This Instagram exchange isn't a roster update so much as a status report on a family working through trauma under public view. If Lucic aims to play again, expect a slow, documented return: formal medical updates, team statements, and possibly conditions tied to assistance-program milestones. Brittany's candor, and her 'I'm not sure but he looks great!', keeps the conversation alive, but the final call will hinge on health, league protocols and how stakeholders assess accountability and readiness. Sari trader pursuing acting dream duped out of 1.71cr
Surat: A starry-eyed sari trader from the city who thought he was pursuing his dream of becoming an actor was allegedly duped out of Rs 1.71 crore by four persons from Delhi, who convinced him to send them large sums of money to secure high-profile acting work for him — in a web series, a TV serial and a music video. The victim had first contacted the accused on seeing an advertisement for portfolio photography on Instagram. Over two years, they got him to send them money on various pretexts and even called the victim to Delhi and Mumbai for shoots to fortify the deception. Nearly three years after his first contact with them, when they did not get him any acting work and he had paid them an eye-watering Rs 1.71 crore, he filed a complaint for cheating with Althan police. Rahul Rathod, 32, owns a sari trading firm in Surat. In Oct 2022, he saw an advertisement on Instagram for the Delhi-based 'Dream Maker Studio', offering portfolio shooting. He provided his details and got a call from one Alka Thakur two days later, offering to shoot his portfolio and calling him to Delhi for the shoot. Rathod went to Dream Maker Studio where he met Alka Thakur Baroniya, Arman Khan alias Waqar Alam, Shiva Thakur alias Mohit and Vivek Rajput alias Rahul Roy. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The Most Beautiful Female Athletes Right Now Undo They carried out a photoshoot on Oct 17, 2022 and charged Rathod Rs 5,000 for it. The FIR states that days later Alka called Rathod again and told him they were launching a web series for which he had been selected. They demanded Rs 22,000 as 'selection security' which Rathod paid. The next day, Alka told Rathod that as he was 'a fresher' he would have to pay Rs 1 lakh more as 'security', which he did. On another call days she said he was picked for a music video and got him to transfer Rs 8 lakh. Rathod sent the money over several transactions in Oct and Dec 2022. Alka later told Rathod they wanted to launch him on 'a big platform through a reality show' and asked for Rs 15 lakh. Rathod transferred the money by RTGS and other modes. Rahul Roy later told Rathod that he would get a lead role in a serial on the Colors channel, which would pay him Rs 90,000 to Rs 95,000 per day for a year. Roy asked him to pay Rs 70 lakh for the lead role — ostensibly to cover his expenses in Mumbai for a year. Rathod transferred the money to Arman Khan and Shiva Thakur, as instructed by Roy and Alka Thakur. Another shoot was later conducted in Delhi. Roy told Rathod he should not tell the Colors channel officials that he was married. Days later, Roy called Rathod saying the channel officials had discovered Rathod was married and had fined Alka Rs 3 crore. Alka told Rathod that she would pay Rs 2.5 crore, but Rathod had to pay her the remaining Rs 50 lakh. Rathod sent the money in two transactions through the Surat angadia firm S Babulal. The accused promised the victim various roles beside actors and influencers such as Dipak Joshi, Akruti Agrawal and Sumbul Tokir, among others. Over two years, they took Rs 1.71 crore from Rathod.
