On July 26, the velvety-voiced songstress will headline ' The Timeless Music Encounter With Siphokazi ' at the Cuba BLK Lounge, inside Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Presented as part of the Soul UpClose Live Music Sessions (SULMS), the evening promises more than just a performance. It's a curated moment of reflection, storytelling and timeless sounds, Siphokazi style.
'I want people to hear the truth behind the glamour — the struggles, the trauma, the healing ... and the freedom. My fans can expect to be served with my signature hits such as Amacala, Ubuntu Bam and more, all wrapped in an evening designed to honour both my music and the meaning behind it,' Siphokazi told TshisaLIVE.
'This is for anyone who's ever needed a reminder that their story matters,' she added.
In collaboration with Spotless Worx SA, Pathsela Music and SULMS, Siphokazi will lead a pre-show media drive, offering a rare and raw look into her journey from a label-signed star to an empowered independent artist.
The encounter marks her return not just as a performer, but as a woman who has transformed pain into power and is sharing that transformation with the world.

Even though the lyrics were not hers, the emotions were real, and White sang the lyrics as if they were her own. 'That's the beauty of soul music, you take someone else's words, but you pour your own experiences into it so people feel the truth.' Emtee reunites with wife Nicole after spending days out of marital home
Mthembeni Ndevu, popularly known as Emtee, has rekindled his relationship with Nicole Chinsamy after their online outbursts. Emtee continued to occupy the trends lists as he went live on Instagram speaking of his issue. A source close to the rapper revealed two musician friends helped him temporarily find a place to stay. Nicole went as far as covering up a tattoo she had on her ring finger in honour of their marriage. 'He doesn't want to be in the marriage. They do need help,' said the source, who revealed to TshisaLIVE that Emtee had moved out of the flat he shared with Nicole, and was staying with a friend in Fourways after filing for divorce in 2024.

Lira feeling brand new and ready to share stage with Lauryn Hill
JOHANNESBURG - Award-winning artist Lira said every performance feels brand new as she prepares to share the stage with United States (US) star Lauryn Hill next month, marking a proud milestone in her journey back to music. Lira, whose real name is Lerato Moipone Molapo, is excited about her upcoming performance at the DStv Delicious Festival after recovering from a 2022 stroke that once left her unable to speak. Returning to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on September 20 and 21, this year's event will also feature Haitian rapper and singer Wyclef Jean and US rapper Don Toliver, among many others. Lira is filled with pride as she celebrates a significant milestone in her musical comeback. 'It's been a long time since I sang there, and I'm looking forward to it,' she said in an interview on Tuesday. After receiving treatment from what she described as 'the best medical team available,' Lira made her recovery and officially returned to the music industry in May last year. 'I'm also really appreciative. To live and then perform for others, they're the reason I'm here. You've helped us through difficult times, you've brought us happiness,' Lira said. Known for her genre-defying fusion of Afro-pop, R&B, and jazz, Lira has won eleven South African Music Awards (SAMAs). She also reflected on how her music became a form of healing during her recovery. 'I didn't know how I knew I would need my music, but I did. And nobody better wastes your time now,' she added.
