KUWAIT CITY, May 7: Burgan has made history by qualifying for the Premier League Volleyball final, where they will face defending champion Kuwait Club on Friday at 7:00 pm. The match will be preceded by a third-place playoff between Kazma and Al-Arabi.
For the first time in the club's history, Burgan advanced to the final after defeating Al-Arabi 3-1 in their semi-final playoff at the Kuwait Volleyball Association Hall in Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex. The set scores were 25-20, 23-25, 28-26, and 25-16.
In a three-match playoff format, Kuwait Club won the first match 3-0, while Burgan SC claimed the second match 3-1, solidifying its position as the "dark horses" of the current season and setting its sights on the title.
Burgan Club Chairman Anwar Al-Otaibi congratulated the club's fans and board members on this historic achievement. He emphasized that this qualification was the result of meticulous planning by the team's technical and administrative staff and the dedication of the players. Al-Otaibi also acknowledged the club's management's continuous support for the team's success and urged fans to rally behind the team as it aims to make history in tomorrow's final.
