That exchange in the Severance Season 2 premiere gave viewers an early indicator of what they could expect from Lumon's new, young and unflappable deputy manager, Miss Huang. But she has multitudes, we would learn, most recently by way of the theramin recital she gave during the MDR team's Episode 4 ORTBO retreat.
'I did learn how to play' the motion-operated instrument, Miss Huang's portrayer, Sarah Bock, told Vulture. 'I play piano and guitar, so I figured I could maybe pick it up quickly, but it was definitely more complicated than I was expecting.'
Bock, age 18, is a student at Northwestern University, and her few previous acting credits include mostly voice work but also a role in the award-winning 2022 indie Bruiser, which stars All American's Jalyn Hall. So, how did she land a plum role on one of TV's most acclaimed series?
Severance executive producer Ben Stiller, speaking about Miss Huang's casting, told TVLine, 'This wonderful young actress came in and auditioned, and I was just blown away by her.
'She's got such poise and such intelligence and such sensitivity, and yet also has the ability to put forth this imposing facade, too,' the EP added. 'She's just been a gift to the show. I love her.'
Adam Scott, speaking with TVLine alongside Stiller, chimed in that Bock is 'excellent' — though he conveniently failed to mention his repeated losses to her at a popular New York Times puzzle game.
As Tramell Tillman, who plays Miss Huang's supervisor, Seth Milchick, shared with TVLine, Bock 'is so intelligent, and a wiz at Wordle! She and Adam play all the time, and she she beats him all the time, just like that.'
As a castmate, 'She's incredible, absolutely incredible,' Tillman said. 'It was such a joy to be able to work with her. She's very professional, very funny, very inquisitive about this world and what we're doing, and always willing to take direction.
'The relationship between Milchick and Miss Huang is not as pleasant as the relationship between Tramell and Sarah…,' the actor noted with a chuckle, 'but it's been a blast to work with her.'
A somewhat-tense meeting between Milchick and Miss Huang in Severance Episode 6, premiering Friday, Feb. 21, will shed light on the nature of her employment at Lumon. Ahead of that, a special event held in Episode 5 (out Feb. 14) will present an opportunity for more theramin playing, though Miss Huang will be irked to be snubbed again.Best of TVLine

Is SNL new tonight on June 7, 2025? Here's the answer.

Is SNL new tonight on June 7, 2025? Here's the answer. It was a great Season 50 of Saturday Night Live so far, with some hilarious cold opens, funny moments on Weekend Update and so many guest stars. There was also the big SNL 50 celebration this year. And if you're here, you might be getting ready to watch SNL on Saturday, June 7, 2025 and wondering: is it all new tonight? If not, is it a rerun? Who's hosting? THE 15 BEST SKETCHES IN SNL HISTORY: Our rankings of the best of Saturday Night Live The answer ... No. It's a rerun after the season finale a few of weeks ago. NBC's site says we're getting the episode in which Mikey Madison was host and Morgan Wallen was the musical guest, but there's also a listing that says it's the Jack Black episode with Elton John and Brandi Carlile. It'll be a while until we get a new episode, sadly, but at least we can rewatch the past season's funny episodes. There you have it. Enjoy!

Rogan reacts live to Elon's 'crazy' Epstein accusation against Trump while interviewing FBI director

Podcaster Joe Rogan was shocked as he read billionaire Elon Musk's wild allegations against President Donald Trump on Thursday. Musk dropped a bomb on social media when he alleged Trump was in the Jeffrey Epstein files after a series of escalating back-and-forth social media messages between him and the president. This accusation occurred as part of a larger tirade against Trump and Republican leaders over the "Big Beautiful Bill." In the episode, which was recorded Thursday but released Friday, a "Joe Rogan Experience" producer interrupted the host's live interview with FBI director Kash Patel to inform him of Musk's Epstein tweet. Rogan read the tweet out loud, "'Time to drop the really big bomb Donald Trump is in the Epstein files, that's the real reason they have not been made public, have a nice day.' "Jesus Christ," he said in shock. "I'm not participating in any of that conversation," Patel said. "Someone should take his phone away," Rogan said as he marveled at Musk's tweet. "Jesus Christ, that's a crazy thing to say. How does he know? Does he know that Donald Trump is in the Epstein files? Does he have access to the Epstein files?" "I don't know how he would," the FBI director said, again insisting he would stay out of the feud. "What the f--- are they doing?" Rogan asked. "I understand he owns Twitter, I think it's bad for your mental health," Rogan said. "I think posting things public all day and arguing with people all day is bad for you." "This is an unfortunate episode from Elon, who is unhappy with the One Big Beautiful BIll because it does not include the policies he wanted," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said. "The President is focused on passing this historic piece of legislation and making our country great again." The White House said a source familiar with the Epstein matter said it is widely known that Trump kicked Epstein out of his Palm Beach Golf Club. The source also pointed out that the administration released the Epstein files, which included Trump's name, and nothing was new about Musk's revelation. "If Elon truly thought the President was more deeply involved with Epstein, why did he hang out with him for 6 months and say he 'loves him as much as a straight man can love a straight man?'" the source said. Shortly after Musk posted about Trump being in the Epstein file, Trump posted his response to Truth Social. "I don't mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress," Trump said, turning his attention to the "big, beautiful bill" that is before the Senate. "It's a Record Cut in Expenses, $1.6 Trillion Dollars, and the Biggest Tax Cut ever given. If this Bill doesn't pass, there will be a 68% Tax Increase, and things far worse than that." "I didn't create this mess, I'm just here to FIX IT. This puts our Country on a Path of Greatness. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" the president added.

‘Sinners' bonus feature: See how the gnarly makeup effects came to life

From its music to cinematography, special effects and production design, Ryan Coogler's Sinners was a cross-departmental masterclass, which undoubtedly helped to make the period vampire flick the breakout hit of the year. And now, as the movie makes its way onto digital platforms, we're getting more of a peek behind the curtain to see how it all came together. Coogler had originally become aware of prosthetic makeup designer Mike Fontaine's work after seeing Jeremy Saulnier's brutal container thriller Green Room. "I hadn't been that viscerally moved by makeup since I saw The Thing," Coogler says in the featurette. "It kind of left a mark on me." Once onboard, Fontaine met with Coogler to hear directly from him about what his goals for Sinners' makeup were and to land on a shared point of view. "Ryan and I were having a conversation early on, and I started to get a sense of what his vision was for the film," Fontaine says. "The process for me always begins with the script and the initial images that come to mind. From there, Fontaine went off to begin a months-long process that evolves from drawing to paintings and sculpting, some of which you can see in the video above.
