The New York Giants no longer have Saquon Barkley on the roster, but the team's former running back could still be helpful to his old organization this summer.
Since it's time of year where players are free to work on their games with whoever, Barkley recently showed his followers that he's been on the field with current Giants running back, Tyrone Tracy.
The former fifth-round pick has seemingly been getting a chance to learn from one of the best running backs in the game.

Since 2015, Barkley has been one of the most notable running backs in the game of football. Coming out of Whitehall High School in Pennsylvania, Barkley was staying in his home state to suit up for the Penn State Nittany Lions.
The former four-star recruit rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his three seasons at Penn State. When he wrapped up his NCAA career, Barkley had 3,843 yards and 43 touchdowns on the ground. In the air, he caught 102 passes for 1,195 yards and eight touchdowns. In the return game, he fielded 18 kicks for 500 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

When Barkley declared for the 2018 NFL Draft, he was expected to be a top pick. The Giants called on the superstar back with their second-overall pick. In 2018, Barkley represented the Giants as a Pro Bowler and the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
For six seasons, Barkley starred for the Giants. He appeared in 74 games with the team and rushed for over 5,200 yards and 35 touchdowns. After the 2023 NFL season, Barkley famously hit the free agency market and signed with New York's NFC East rival, the Philadelphia Eagles, after the NY front office struggled to come to terms on a new deal with Barkley.
Tracy entered the Giants' backfield as their fifth-round pick out of Purdue last season. The rookie appeared in 17 games and picked up 192 carries. With an average of 4.4 yards per carry, Tracy finished the season with 839 yards. He reached the endzone five times on the ground and scored one through the air.
The second-year running back wasn't selected to be a Barkley replacement on his own. While he could be first in line to lead carries on Sundays next season, New York still has Devin Singletary in the mix, along with the rookie Cam Skattebo. Either way, the young veteran has surrounded himself with great company, as Barkley is coming off of one of the most dominant rushing seasons the NFL has seen.

Adam Schefter puts timetable on Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey trade

The post Adam Schefter puts timetable on Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey trade appeared first on ClutchPoints. Jalen Ramsey, the Miami Dolphins' star cornerback, might be gearing up for another move, and it could happen sooner than we expect. During a recent interview on The Pat McAfee Show, ESPN insider Adam Schefter expressed his belief that the Dolphins are likely to trade Ramsey 'before the start of training camp,' noting that the team is in active discussions with several other clubs. Advertisement Ramsey seems to have his eyes set on a return to the West Coast, with Schefter mentioning that the talented cornerback 'would like to go to Los Angeles — Rams, Chargers, somewhere like that.' The 30-year-old player spent four successful seasons with the Rams, earning multiple Pro Bowl selections and an All-Pro title before being traded to Miami in 2023. While there's no deal finalized just yet, the Dolphins have been exploring trade options for Ramsey for months, even before the NFL Draft. Teams like the Rams, Chargers, Steelers, and Commanders have been floated as potential candidates. Schefter reiterated: 'Jalen Ramsey will get traded.' To wrap up a deal, the Dolphins might have to absorb part of Ramsey's contract. His impressive $24.235 million salary for 2025 might scare off some potential teams, but if Miami makes a post-June 1 trade, they could clear up $9.9 million in cap space. This extra financial wiggle room could be crucial as they aim to tweak their roster before training camp begins. Even though he's turning 30 this offseason, Ramsey remains a prominent figure in the league. His impressive track record includes six Pro Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl victory with the Rams. Steelers Nation suggested Ramsey as the missing piece to bolster a playoff-caliber defense as they head into 2025. Ramsey's offseason training sessions in California with former Rams safety Eric Weddle have only added fuel to the speculation of a possible reunion in L.A., while other contenders keep a close eye on the situation as camp approaches. Former Steelers QB reveals Super Bowl catch in T.J. Watt contract talks

The post Former Steelers QB reveals Super Bowl catch in T.J. Watt contract talks appeared first on ClutchPoints. A former player for the Pittsburgh Steelers is weighing in on the T.J. Watt contract talks. The Steelers are trying to come to terms with Watt, so he can participate in team activities again. He has been sitting out of OTAs and other activities. Advertisement 'He needs to get closer to that Super Bowl, if not winning that Super Bowl, for him to be convinced that he wants to stay here,' former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch said on the Up and Adams Show. Batch made the comments after he was asked on the show if he thinks Watt ends his career as a Steeler. Batch said it's quite possible he won't stay in Pittsburgh if he feels the team can't give him a chance to win. 'That's the business of football,' Batch added. Watt has spent his entire career in Pittsburgh. Last season, he posted 11.5 sacks and 61 total tackles. The Steelers have had a rocky offseason Philip G. Pavely-Imagn Images The Steelers' talks with Watt are the latest development in what has been a rocky offseason for the team. Pittsburgh had uncertainty for months about who would play the quarterback position next season, before Aaron Rodgers finally agreed to a deal right before OTAs. Advertisement Pittsburgh also ended up trading one of their most talented players to the Dallas Cowboys, in George Pickens. The wide receiver didn't have nice things to say about the Steel City franchise after leaving. The loss of Pickens means that wideout DK Metcalf is most likely the top target in the passing game. Pittsburgh enters the 2025 season with lots of expectations, as well as pressure on head coach Mike Tomlin. It has been nearly a decade since the team won a NFL Playoff game, and fans are restless. Tomlin faces pressure from them to win this year. The Steelers are now without Watt for the time being. Watt is holding out in hopes of a good deal that will pay him plenty. He has been an invaluable pass rusher for the team in the last few seasons. Watt has more than 30 sacks in the last two years. NFL insider Gerry Dulac has reported that the Steelers and Watt still aren't close to getting a deal done. Dulac said any type of agreement won't happen before training camp starts, per USA Today. Steelers' Aaron Rodgers seen putting in work after minicamp

The post Steelers' Aaron Rodgers seen putting in work after minicamp appeared first on ClutchPoints. While Aaron Rodgers gave tips to Pittsburgh Steelers rookie Will Howard, the quarterback also took time to rip his former team's running game. However, Rodgers was seen putting in work with the Steelers after minicamp. Advertisement After waiting quite a while to sign with the Steelers, Rodgers appears to be ready to go, according to ESPN's SportsCenter via Sports Illustrated. 'They finally got that concretely set up, and really they're pumped … because they feel like Rodgers has remained in good shape despite being away from the team,' Jeremy Fowler said. Steelers hoping for big year with QB Aaron Rodgers Coaches around the NFL view the Steelers as a dangerous team after the signing of Rodgers, according to 'He's the best quarterback they've had since (Ben Roethlisberger), a veteran NFL offensive coach said. 'We will see how the body holds up, but I think he's going to help them immensely.' Advertisement And former NFL lineman Mark Schlereth agreed with the potential Rodgers still has, according to 'Toward the end of the season, when I dug through the three games that I always watch as I'm prepping — I'm breaking down the coach's film, three games — I was like, 'Damn, Aaron can play,' ' Schlereth said. 'And then I'm watching him pregame on Sunday morning, and pregame I'm watching him throw the football versus the way a bunch of 25-year-olds throw the football — and it's like varsity versus JV. That dude can still rip it. If (Rodgers) is healthy, and you've got (the Steelers run game), mixed with that play-action game, he's going to tear it up.' An AFC executive said Rodgers will have to battle against the age game. There are certain things he can no longer do as well as he did years ago, according to 'Look, the mobility is an issue, there's no doubt,' the executive said. 'But where he helps them is with the plus arm strength and the field vision from the pocket. They haven't had that. I'm not sure that will be enough, but the offense will be at least respectable.' Advertisement Can Rodgers lift the Steelers in the postseason? It's not an easy road in the AFC. And Rodgers hasn't exactly been a playoff stud. After starting his career with a 4-1 mark, he has gone 7-9 since.
