Besiktas reportedly interested in Go Ahead Eagles' Edvardsen

Yahoo08-05-2025

According to VoetbalPrimeur and RTV Oost, Besiktas are interested in Victor Edvardsen. Polish striker Patryk Klimala, who plays for Australian Sydney FC, is seen as a replacement in Deventer if the Swede actually leaves.
Edvardsen has been one of the most talked-about Go Ahead Eagles players in recent weeks due to fine personal form and his feud with AZ player Wouter Goes.

His playing feats, as well as his competitive streak, have not gone unnoticed in Turkey either, with Besiktas said to be interested in Edvardsen. The Swede is still under contract at De Adelaarshorst until next summer. If Edvardsen does not extend his contract, this summer is the time to prevent him from leaving for free in 2026.
Preparing for the worst, Go Ahead are already working on a replacement for Edvardsen in the background, and Klimala is in the picture.
The Polish attacker who played for Celtic, New York Red Bulls, Hapoel Beer Sheva and Slask Wroclaw is said to be high on the wish list of the new technical director Marc van Hintum. Currently, Klimala plays on loan for Sydney FC in the A-League this season, where he has scored 21 times in 35 matches.
In addition to Klimala, Go Ahead also see a replacement for Edvardsen back in his home country Sweden. The 23-year-old Noel Milleskog is said to be on the Deventer radar. FC Twente were also previously interested in the attacker from IK Sirius.

Mourinho's Fenerbahce preparing bid for Juventus striker Vlahovic

Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce are preparing an offer to Juventus for unwanted centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic according to reports in Italy on Saturday morning. Reports Fenerbahce preparing bid for Juventus's Vlahovic According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mourinho's Fenerbahce are prepared to offer Vlahovic a significant set of personal terms, but have not yet matched Juventus's asking price for the 25-year-old. Advertisement Saturday's reports claim that the Turkish giants are prepared to offer around €30m to Juventus, who are seeking a fee in the region of €40m for Vlahovic this summer. Vlahovic has been earning around €10.5m per season on his current Juventus contract, which is set to rise to €12m for the final year of his deal in 2025-26. That is the same contract that he signed at the time of his €85.35m move from Fiorentina back in the winter transfer window in 2022. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the €30m offer set to be offered to Juventus by Fenerbahce will be an enticing offer given the lack of interest from elsewhere and the fact that it brings the opportunity to shed €12m from the team's wage bill next season.

Fabrizio Romano reports Al-Hilal have improved their salary offer to Victor Osimhen

Manchester United transfer target Victor Osimhen is edging closer to a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. The Red Devils are keen to add experienced firepower to their striking department and one name that has frequently been mentioned is Osimhen's. Advertisement Nonetheless, fresher reports have indicated that the club will not get into discussions for the striker due to the high costs involved of a transfer and salary. News then broke that Al-Hilal had bid €70 million for the lethal forward. The tale took an unexpected twist when he rejected a €30m-a-year contract offer, sparking hope in Turkey that he may stay with current loan side, Galatasaray. Reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that 'Al Hilal have now improved their proposal to Victor Osimhen and SSC Napoli to try and reach an agreement soon.' He also stated that Galatasaray are still in the race but the Saudi club are doing all they can to close the deal with Napoli and the player. Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport add more meat to the bones as they claim that Al-Hilal have now made a proposal of '€35 million with bonuses for four years, almost the €40 million that Victor was aiming for to accept the transfer to Saudi.' Advertisement Nonetheless, a deal is still not done between the two clubs as Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has insisted that there will be no discount on the player's €75 million release clause, in spite of Al-Hilal's offer of €70 million. Galatasaray are still hoping to win the race but Al-Hilal are desperate to close the deal by the end of the first part of the transfer window on Tuesday 10th June, so Osimhen could play in the Club World Cup. New manager, Simone Inzaghi, is also heavily 'pushing' for a deal to be completed for the Nigerian forward. The paper predicts that with only a minor difference in club valuation and the pressures of Tuesday's deadline for Al-Hilal, a deal could certainly be wrapped up soon.
