Popular Aussie band ‘heartbroken' over violent attack of woman at gig
Shelby Elston, 33, was preparing to watch Rüfüs Du Sol at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, when the stranger attacked her on Saturday.
Footage shows the unidentified man throwing multiple punches at Elston, as another woman attempted to hold him back. She was with her fiancé, Cain Webb, at the time.
'(I'm) still trying to find the words to describe exactly what happened to us last night,' Elston wrote on Facebook, saying she drove to see her 'favourite artist' only to miss the entire show.
Elston explained: 'As soon as we got into the venue ... (we) grabbed a drink and sat down in our seats in the stands.
'The boys ... went to the bathroom. When they came back Cain accidentally knocked his drink over that was sitting next to my leg and splashed a little bit onto that man in front of us.
'We immediately apologised, but this man started screaming in our face that we did it on purpose.
'He ran off into the crowd leaving his girlfriend behind.

Only 30 minutes later, the unidentified man returned clearly fuming. Elston said he got into her fiancé's face, allegedly telling him he would 'kill him' if it happened again.
'That is the last thing I remember before waking up in the medical tent an hour later,' she wrote.
'This man PUNCHED ME IN THE FACE! I was completely knocked out and there was blood pouring from my face. He continued to attack Cain while Ralph attempted to block him from the hits.'

A report was made to Pasadena police.
Rüfüs Du Sol, which consists of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt, later released a statement on Instagram.
'Delivering moments for our fans to gather and celebrate safely is what we live for. We have been heartbroken to hear of the act of violence that took place during the opening act on Saturday,' they wrote.
'This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable anywhere and the fact that this happened at one of our shows was devastating to learn about.'

He scratched out her face like a serial killer and mailed it back." Samberg's disliking of the mutt goes way back. Meyers insisted: "He really hates my dog and he's hated my dog since she was little and now she's 14." He previously jokingly confessed he started to "cares less" about his dog after becoming a father. The 51-year-old funnyman and his wife Alexi Ashe became parents for the first time to a son named Ashe in 2016, now aged nine, before going on to have Axel, seven, and three-year-old Adelaide. He quipped on Live! With Kelly and Ryan: "The dog was the practice child. The dog has figured out that we care less about it, I will say. We're trying very hard, but you know, when you have a kid the dog is very secondary." But the host said Frisbee hadn't given up hope on being the family's favourite, as she was still eager to give Meyers plenty of hugs. He added: "I will say sometimes to the baby, 'Hey, will you give me a hug,' and the speed in which the dog runs into my arms, before the baby can get there. She's like 'Look, I know these words too!'"

Outback Wrangler Matt Wright offered chopper crash survivor's family $10K
An Aussie reality television star offered the family of his paraplegic pilot $10,000 to help during his recovery in the wake of a catastrophic chopper crash, a court has been told. The mother of Sebastian Robinson has accused Netflix and Apple TV reality star Matt Wright of pressuring her 28-year-old son to manipulate flight records after the helicopter crash on February 28, 2022. Mr Robinson was the sole survivor after a Robinson R-44 crashed into a paperbark swamp over the King River, Arnhem Land during a crocodile egg collecting mission, killing his friend and 34-year-old father, Chris 'Willow' Wilson. Croc egg collector Chris Wilson was killed, while his pilot Sebastian Robinson was critically injured in a helicopter crash on the King River, West Arnhem on February 28. Their boss and the star of 'Outback Wrangler' and 'Wild Croc Territory' Mr Wright has pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice. It is alleged Mr Wright knew the helicopter should never have flown that morning, as it had overrun a 2200 flight hour maintenance requirement. Mr Robinson, along with his brother, uncle and mother have all alleged Mr Wright visited Brisbane Hospital to ask the critically injured pilot to move 'a few hours' from the crashed helicopter's records to his personal R-44. On Wednesday, Mr Robinson's mother confirmed Mr Wright offered her family $10,000 to help with their bills during his first visit on March 11. 'That is another example of how he was trying to help you, your family and Sebastian, wasn't it?' Mr Wright's senior defence counsel David Edwardson asked. 'No,' she replied. In emotional testimony, his mother recounted how doctors initially told her that her son was 'unlikely to survive that night'. 'I was so devastated,' Ms Chellingworth said through tears on Wednesday. 'I said to God: 'Why? You let me have a quadriplegic brother that I cared for for 20 years, and now I've got a paraplegic son'. 'He must have given it to me because I could handle it.' She said her son was an adventurous, active and outdoorsy young man who had been crocodile egg collecting for almost a decade, but after the crash Mr Robinson faced the real prospect he would never work again. 'He wasn't going to be dropped in a wheelchair to collect eggs, was he?' prosecutor Jason Gullaci said. Ms Chellingworth said following the crash she got legal advice, but was told her son could not receive any workers' compensation as he was an independent contractor, rather than Mr Wright's employee. The first invoice detailed each individual flight Mr Robinson took that egg collecting season, which Ms Chellingworth said she sent to Wild Harvest NT director Mick Burns. A second $21,500 bill was then sent to Mr Wright, only providing monthly totals for the flights. Ms Chellingworth's diary included an entry on March 13 alleging it was Mr Wright who asked her to re-invoice the bill with less detail for her son's egg collecting season. 'Matt doesn't want days on his invoice, only monthly totals,' Ms Chellingworth wrote. She denied Mr Edwardson's accusations she forged that diary note and only filed the second invoice to Mr Wright 'in the hope that you might be able to claim workers' compensation under his insurance policy'. Wednesday evening's lotto draw saw one Aussie win big and become an instant millionaire. The Millionaire Medley draw produced one player who won the coveted $1million and, unfortunately for West Aussie ticket holders, they weren't from WA. The winning numbers for draw #4588 were 2, 26, 4, 20, 14, 9 and the supplementary numbers were 39 and 36. In division two, a couple of West Aussie's snagged a handy $5,001.25, while 26 won a less impressive $353.30 in division three. It has been revealed the division one winning ticket was a $1.6m win from Saturday's jackpot, sold at The Lucky Charm in Gwelup. Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said Saturday's winner is not a registered Lotterywest member, so there was every chance they weren't aware of the life-altering win. 'When a registered ticket matches the numbers to a division one prize, the player receives a phone call first thing the next business day to share the good news about their win,' she said. 'We once called a player who was in the car with their whole family, including the family dog. When they found out they had won, the whole family started screaming in excitement, with even the dog joining in. 'Thankfully the owner of the ticket was in the passenger seat and able to catch their breath while the driver turned the car around and came straight to Lotterywest HQ to claim the prize.'
