Jaydon Blue's ankle injury has his availability for Saturday in question

Cowboys running back Jaydon Blue was injured during Thursday's practice. Blue spun to the ground awkwardly after defensive end Sam Williams grabbed Blue's facemask. He remained on the ground before taking a cart to the injury tent and later was escorted to the training room. Blue returned to the practice field in street clothes. He told Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he injured his ankle. Although Blue insisted he is fine, his availability for the preseason opener on Saturday against the Rams now is in question. Blue, a fifth-round pick, is a favorite to land a feature role on the offense after debunking questions about his work habits. Veterans Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders also are expected to be big contributors in the backfield. Tight end Jake Ferguson also left practice early after taking a shot in the back from linebacker Kenneth Murray.

The first incident occurred during a game in Atlanta, the next time in Chicago, and the most recent in Los Angeles. And some have taken a lighthearted approach to the events. Others have taken a more firm approach to it. Respecting the game, all those things, I think it's really stupid. Meanwhile, there are actually bets being made on which color the object will be that is thrown next. So what is the WNBA doing about it? The league has promised to immediately eject any fans who throw objects onto the court, as well as pursue criminal charges and hit them with a one year ban. So far, one arrest has been made regarding the very first incident in Atlanta, and a second arrest was made at the Sun versus Mercury game when a man was caught on video attempting to throw an object onto the court, but instead hitting a man who was there with his nine year old niece. But should the league be doing more to protect the players? Close
