achievement
surpassed Chopra's previous personal best and national record of 89.94m, set at the 2022 Stockholm Diamond League.

Chopra shared his mixed feelings about the result after the competition: "It is a little bit bittersweet result. I am very happy for the 90m, but this second place -- it actually happened to me also when I competed in Turku and Stockholm. I threw 89.94, and I was always second. And also here. I broke the national record and got second today. But I am very happy also for Julian Weber. He threw 91, so we both broke 90m for the first time today. We have been trying this for so many years, so finally, we managed to get it."
The javelin thrower also spoke about his previous physical challenges: "I was always feeling something in my groin in the last few years. I did not give my best because of that. This year, I feel much better."
Looking forward to the upcoming season, including the World Championships, Chopra expressed confidence: "We will also work on some aspects, and so I believe I can throw more than 90m in the upcoming events this year."

Kolkata: After grabbing a bronze medal at FIG World Cup in Antalya, Turkey, in March early this year, Pranati Nayak will be looking to put up another strong performance at Women's Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships to be held in Jecheon, South Korea, from June 12-15. Tilak Varma rises to third in ICC T20I batting rankings; Rashid moves to second among bowlers
India's Tilak Varma climbed one spot to third in the ICC Men's T20I Batting Rankings, while spinners Varun Chakaravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi held on to the third and seventh positions respectively in the latest bowling chart released on Wednesday. Tilak now has 804 rating points, behind compatriot Abhishek Sharma, who is placed second. Australia's Travis Head continues to lead the batting chart while Suryakumar Yadav, who slipped one place to sixth, is the only other Indian in the top 10. In the bowling rankings, besides Chakaravarthy (706) and Bishnoi (674), left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh is also in the top 10 with 653 points. Hardik Pandya continues to lead the all-rounders' list with 252 rating points. Among others, England's Adil Rashid moved up a spot to second in the bowling rankings following a strong showing in the 3-0 T20I series win over West Indies.
