‘Desi Aunty's Spicy Wisdom': What Is Instagram AI Chatbot Everyone Is Talking About?
Instagram folks are just discovering unique AI chatbots on the app and they are absolutely stunned.
AI this, AI that. We are in 2025, and AI can do a lot. Will it steal human jobs? Who is to know? 'Grok, verify this", users ask on 'X' when they read news that seems too bizarre to be true. Google's very own AI wakes up every time you look up a query. ChatGPT and OpenAI are here to help you with assignments and college presentations. 'Alexa, play Despacito," an entire generation has memed. However, as AI helps us automate tasks and solve complex math and science problems with just a click of a button, there is still much to be explored.
One such application of AI left the desis on 'X' in a tizzy recently when a screenshot of personalised AI chatbots began doing the rounds.
Is It Fake?
At a glance, it appeared to be a work of an AI. What's real around us anyway?
The 'Desi Aunty" chatbot is real, and so are the many fictional characters on Instagram. You can find Walter White, Madhu Aunty, Lie Detector, Jesse Pinkman, IQ Tester, Fortune Teller, Chicken, Horse, Satan, Astrology, Kundali Guruji, Gym Trainer.
Instagram lists a bunch of popular AIs and their specific purposes.
For instance, under 'Utility" you will discover an English Teacher, a Doctor, a Translator, and so on. Under 'Mystical", one can ask questions from an Astrologer, a Tarot Card Reader, a Love Finder, among many others.
Notably, these are created by users of Instagram. The social media platform lets anyone create AI chatbots by providing a suitable description and the audience that it will cater to.
Character AI
The AI chatbot integration on Instagram is not an unknown territory. Character(dot)AI is one of the most popular examples where users can create and customise AI chatbots and interact with them. These chatbots can possess a personality and tone according to the description fed its the creator. Additionally, the users can also chat with other AI chatbots in a chatroom.
'Character ai or c.ai is a platform for chatting with ai bots according to your interests/delusions. It has a site as well as an app. It's free but for better features, you can upgrade it to premium, though not necessary. You can chat with the bots or create em. Compared to other ai platforms for this stuff, c.ai is a good choice since you can manipulate it according to your will. The characters available can differ. They can be OCs, characters from fiction, anime, etc. Hope it clears your doubts, (sic) a Reddit user explained the platform in response to a query posted.

ChatGPT Agent Bypasses CAPTCHA, Sparks Security Debate
In a development that feels more like a scene from a science fiction movie than reality, OpenAI's latest ChatGPT Agent has stirred controversy by reportedly bypassing one of the internet's most common security measures — the 'I'm not a robot' CAPTCHA. Designed by Cloudflare, this verification tool is widely used to distinguish between human users and bots attempting to access websites. The incident came to light after a Reddit user shared their experience with ChatGPT's newest capabilities. The user, who was testing the advanced version of ChatGPT Pro with agentic AI enabled, noticed the AI not only surfing websites and analyzing data but also casually completing CAPTCHA challenges meant to block automated access. The Reddit post quickly gained traction, showing screenshots where the AI narrated its own activity: 'I'll click the 'Verify you are human' checkbox to complete the verification on Cloudflare. This step is necessary to prove I'm not a bot and proceed with the action.' In another capture, the AI confirms its success: 'The Cloudflare challenge was successful. Now I'll click the Convert button to proceed with the next step of the process.' This unexpected capability is part of OpenAI's new ChatGPT Agent, a more autonomous, goal-driven version of the popular chatbot. The system is designed to perform complex multi-step tasks independently — from intelligent web navigation and secure logins to data analysis and generating editable documents. According to OpenAI, 'It brings together three strengths of earlier breakthroughs: Operator's ability to interact with websites, Deep Research's skill in synthesising information, and ChatGPT's intelligence and conversational fluency.' These agentic features are currently available only to Pro, Plus, and Team subscribers and must be activated manually via 'Agent Mode.' When enabled, the AI operates using a virtual machine that shifts seamlessly between reasoning and action, enabling it to complete intricate workflows without needing continuous human input. While the technology is impressive, it has raised legitimate concerns about cybersecurity. CAPTCHA systems like Cloudflare's checkbox are foundational to protecting websites from spam and automated abuse. The fact that an AI can now bypass such verification challenges with apparent ease suggests that traditional security tools may soon be rendered obsolete. Experts in cybersecurity are already voicing concerns about the broader implications. If AI tools can impersonate human behavior online convincingly enough to bypass protective barriers, developers and site administrators may need to urgently re-evaluate their defenses. In response to the uproar, OpenAI has assured users that the system includes multiple safeguards. 'We've strengthened robust controls and added safeguards for challenges such as handling sensitive information on the live web, broader user reach, and (limited) terminal network access,' the company stated. Importantly, they noted that the Agent 'always requests permission before taking any significant action,' and that users retain full control and can intervene at any time. Still, the incident has reignited conversations about the ethical and security implications of increasingly autonomous AI systems. While their potential to simplify digital tasks is undeniable, the challenge now lies in ensuring they do not compromise the very fabric of internet safety.

5 Bollywood romantic films Gen-Z will relate to if they liked Saiyaara so much
Varul Chaturvedi, a 23-year-old student, watched 'Saiyaara' out of peer pressure. He explained that the decision to watch the film came after he gave in to the FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), and saw his friends posting pictures and reels from cinema halls. And even though his decision was entirely driven by pressure, he enjoyed every bit of the experience inside the theatre. Chaturvedi felt a strong connection with YRFs love Mohit Suri's film 'Saiyaara', starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has managed to strike the right chord with the fans, it's still a fleeting glimpse of the kind of romance Bollywood is known for. Not just the iconic dimples of SRK, we were also busy admiring R Madhavan's boy-next-door in 'Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein' (2001), Saif Ali Khan's boyish charm in 'Hum Tum' (2004), and Shahid Kapoor's brooding innocence in 'Jab We Met'. Here's a list of a few classic 2000 core Bollywood romances that may or may not be a part of the re-release trend, but definitely deserve a place on Gen-Z's watchlist. View this post on Instagram A post shared by YRF Music (@yrfmusic)These stories aren't laced with irony, but emotion; not burdened with realism, but lifted by idealism. In a world where love is often served as nothing more than a slow-burning dish, these timeless films remind us of what it truly feels like to both fall in love and rise with it.1. Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003)With themes of unspoken love, chosen families, and living in the present, this film hits hard in a generation that's constantly dealing with uncertainty, whether emotional, social, or existential. Aman's (SRK) quiet suffering and Naina's (Preity Zinta) emotional awakening are heartbreakingly relevant. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Dharma Productions (@dharmamovies)2. Veer-Zaara (2004)The cross-border love story speaks to today's globally connected generation which understands cultural divides but dreams of bridging them. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta, 'Veer-Zaara's' loyalty, sacrifice, and emotional intensity hit especially deep in an age of fast romance and faster endings. Together, they create a story that's less about grand gestures and more about personal healing.5. Love Aaj Kal (2009)In an era defined by transient connections and digital interactions, the film starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone offers a poignant reminder that the essence of love transcends time, context, and even the way we express our emotions. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Maddock Films (@maddockfilms)advertisementThe world today seems flooded with content but is starved for connection. And these Bollywood romances offer a kind of emotional intimacy and sincerity that many Gen-Z people crave. The re-releases of such films, whether in theatres or digitally, are not just nostalgia trips, they are tools for emotional education, offering a kind of love that isn't rushed, performative, or future of romance might look different, but its foundation remains unchanged.- EndsTrending Reel
